I watched the KC game from a sports bar, and other screens had Green Bay/San Diego (go Brett!) and Philly/Detroit. The Philly throwbacks looked TERRIBLE.
You're a dumbass for putting their dumbass in your sig..... dumbass.
So I'm a dumbass for being a fan through the rough times?
Your team lost by 21 today also  I said it all along, Niners aren't ready. Next year is their time.
I wouldn't say they suck ass, completely. Their defense was rock solid, they just simply wore out by the 4th quarter. Bulger and the passing game let St. Louis down today. They didn't take a single shot down the field.
I didn't get to watch the game at all, so thanks for filling me in. How did Garcia and the gang do?

The Rams defense pretty much shut down the Bucs passing game. Garcia only had around 120 yds, but with no picks.
It was 3-0 at the half. Both defenses were stepping it up. The Rams offense was grinding it out with Jackson, but Wilkins missed a field goal.
Eventually in the second half, Tampa's offense got the running game going and marched down the field, thanks in large part to great returns by Mark Jones. The Rams passing attack was never really a factor because the Bucs consistently kept two safeties deep. Bulger threw a pick in the end zone (and two more picks in the game), and the Bucs started ripping off large runs on the Rams D in the 4th.
Neither team really made a ton of splash plays on offense, but the Bucs physically dominated St. Louis in the 2nd half, and eventually pulled away.

I tip my hat to the Texans. They went toe-to-toe with Indy without their best offensive weapon. Scary.

Yeah, I know that weather down there definitely has an influence. It's just, they've lost so many games due to defense. Not one of the best around. Steve Smith tore them up in the first week, did alright against SF. We just need to get stronger and faster. I just remember Vick tearing the Rams apart in the 2004 (?) NFC playoffs.

Holy shat, I remember that game. Falcons laid 300 yards rushing in that one. :wow:
But for them right now, they're just not clicking. You can't go on the road and miss two field goals (one of which ended an 8 minute drive), throw a pick in the end zone, and expect to win football games.

Johnny Blaze
09-23-2007, 06:36 PM
W00t! Awesome job today by my Bucs. The O-line was just manhandling the Lambs D the entire second half. Ernest Graham had like 12 yards a carry average and 2 TDs against them and was running with some determination. Rookie guard Aaron Sears looked really good in finishing his blocks.
The pass blocking still leaves something to be desired, though Petigout (Sp?) played a good game.
The D was, once again, impressive. Aside from a few big runs, they did a good job keeping the explosive Jackson in check. If Barrett Ruud keeps playing at this level he's definitely a lock for the Pro Bowl and team Defensive MVP.
Should've been 31-3 though. If Kevin Carter hadn't lined up in the neutral zone Phillip Buchanon would've had a defensive TD off of the Isaac Bruce fumble when Bruce was leveled by Jermaine Phillips.
Should be a good showdown next week up in Carolina. The Bucs could really get an early jump in the division with the win against the Kitty Cats.

I am smiling today. Not only did my Chiefs finally get a win, but they took down my smug roommate's Vikings. As expected, Jared Allen, having served his suspension, rode in on a white horse and slew Minnesota's offensive line with his sword of awesomness.
Hells ya...
There is nothing like Arrowhead on the first home game or any home game for that matter, 3 hours before the game the parking lot was full with tailgaters. So much good food. And, needless to say inside Arrowhead was nuts, so freaking loud. I have absolutely no voice left.
The game itself was good, man our 'D' played tough, other than that first drive. Ty Law looked horrible on that TD run. And, our Offense leaves a lot to be desired. Mike Solari just might be the worst OC in the league. Though Bowe played awesome and TD catch was nuts, I was in that endzone on the Club level.
Overall, I'm just glad we won and hopefully we can keep the Chargers in a tailspin next week.
And, how about them Packers!!! Brett Farve is having a great farewell tour. I just got home, so I haven't seen the highlights. I can't believe they beat the Chargers. Go Pack!!

Over preformers and under preformers (in terms of expectations)
Overpreformers:
Dallas (NFC): looked great in every game thus far
Green Bay (NFC): Defense looks superb
Houston (AFC): Losing by just 6 to the Colts; with Ahman Green & Andre Johnson in, I think they would have won.
Pittsburg (AFC): very balanced and physical team; Roethlisberger is still over rated; but with a fledgling superstar in Santonio Holmes and Willie Parker at HB, your good to go.
Underpreformers:
New Orleans (NFC): Bush needs to get ti going before overrated talk starts
Chicago (NFC): Rex needs to focus; he has ADH.
St. Louis (NFC): Eh...Tampa Bay is better and whenever Jackson and Buldger get going theyll get better.
Cincinati (AFC): Defense is atrocious; wont even finish .500 this year.
Dont worry about SAN DIEGO; they lost to 2 football teams who have been playing great football thus far; I am sure theyll improve; though LT needs to learn *****ing out your quarterback like your a 15 year old chick isnt showcasing leadership.

But San Diego beat Chicago (who is looking like chicago of 10 years ago) by only 11. Their vaunted offense is not preforming, and their defense is looking porous. Now, I thought they would be the 3rd best in the AFC, but they gotta preform better than this!
Also, who is seeing a Cowboys vs Patriots/Colts/Steelers in the Super Bowl? Cowboys are easily the best in the NFC right now, hands down.

If Cowboys are "easily" best in NFC, Patriots are in a different universe compared to the rest of AFC. They have the leagues BEST DEFENSE and they have yet to add SEYMOUR and HARRISON; and have one of the top 2 offenses in game.
The NFC has some teams that are gonna go pretty far. Tampa Bay's defense looks great, and I know McNabb is gonna get Phily to the playoffs. Those 3 and Green bay are the only teams capible of beating Indianapolis or Pittsberg; but none can touch New England right now. Barring no injuries; they are virtually unbeatable.

Man that Rex Grossman press conference was painful. Thats the least I can say about it. Right now I'm not sure if he is going to be benched. They have a few games against their division coming up, I think those are his final chances if this wasn't. It was largely his fault, but not only his fault.

Its tough, because I can understand how his mistakes were made, and a lot of them from people just looking in to criticize don't want to see that the blame shouldn't fall squarely on him. I actually agree with Al Michaels on one thing, there are no real answers after Grossman. No real long term answers. This team has the parts to win right now and maybe for a few years down the road, but to start over at the most important position is going to make it all the harder.

HALL BEAT UP IN FALCONS LOCKER ROOM?
There are uncorroborated rumors making the rounds that Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall was beat up, presumably by one or more teammates, following a Falcons loss that was fueled in part by Hall's inability to control his emotions.
After being flagged for a total of 67 yards on a second-half drive that the Panthers used to tie the game, Hall got into a sideline confrontation with coach Bobby Petrino.
We don't know for sure whether Hall was indeed roughed up or otherwise accosted by teammates after the game, but it wouldn't surprise us to find out that the rumor is true. Hall is a brash and outspoken member of the organization, and his Virginia Tech ties to Mike Vick probably have prompted some in the locker room to view him differently in the wake of Vick's legal troubles. Today's actions would have potentially been enough to get a frustrated Falcon to convert hostile feelings toward Hall into action.

The 0-3 Rams learned they lost Steven Jackson a day after guard Mark Setterstrom
was lost for the season with a torn left knee ligament and cartilage damage. Setterstrom is the second lineman the Rams have lost this season, after seven-time Pro Bowl tackle Orlando Pace injured his shoulder in the opener.

They have really soft schedule the rest of the way. Only 3 games even come close to looking like challenges.
Bengals
Browns
Dallas *
Phins
Skins
Colts *
Bills
Eagles
Ravens
Steelers *
Jets
Phins
Giants
The last 2 they might mail in because home field is wrapped up.
I don't think their schedule is soft, I think it just looks that way considering the amount of talent on the team and they way they have been playing. Hell, the Eagles and Ravens might give the Pats a good run for their money. By the way, Belichiek doesn't phone in any games. Last year, Brady played almost the entire last game of the regular season. If the Pats go undefeated for 14 games, you know he's gonna want to put those last two away and make history.

well....the Rams are out of it this season. 2 great players out for the resat of the season. bummer. they looked pretty good this season.

Why would they want to 'bury' last season's accomplishments. You acknowledge that kind of stuff, take pride in it and build on it.

Cream of the crop continues to rise to the top, New England Patriots, Colts, and of course the Steelers, while the pretenders keep on pretending, Saints and Chargers.
