Byron Leftwich is gonna start for the Falcons on Sunday. Yay  :csad:
I seem to remember a good chunk of yall claimin that Joey Harrington was better than #7-yea as if, when the crap was hittin the fan before the season.
A lot of conjecture about numbers, and he got weapons now and a whole lot nothin, Detroit this and MIA that, well it took Joey a whole 6 weeks to get benched, and if they had Byron, who will only do marginally better but at least noticable, earlier Joey would have sat before this.
Sure the team was supposed to be custom for Vick, but Harrington while a kick ass DUCK, ain't made the transition.

Err, they weren't good enough four weeks ago. And it ain't like Chambers changes the paper that much.
People were saying the same thing about that Pats as they were saying about the Colts a couple years back... SD and Pitt will be very dangerous come playoff time... heck the Colts could lose this week and one of those teams can slip into the two seed even. I am not counting anything out. I just don't believe we'll be seeing both the Pats and Colts in the AFC championship game again. Just my take on it.

Bob Sanders is going to wear an american flag on his sleeve for the rest of the season, in order to commemorate keeping the Superbowl in america. Here are some quotes from Sanders on the subject:
"I have no problems with London man, they have some great tea and crumpets there. Man I love those crumpets." I brought some back for Peyton, he said he was suprised."
"London is for vacations, for tea and crumpets, and for those red solider statues, but not for football. Man those statues look real."
"They already have football in England, except they are playing it all wrong. Why would we play football all year long, just to go to London for
the Superbowl and have to kick checked balls into nets man? That doesn't make sense. Bob Sanders isn't wearing those short shorts."
"The flag will be made out of some Kryptonian substances I found while
digging for Plutonium in Area 51. Aliens are just out there man."
Glad you're on board Fran.

Chiefs have been patching up a lot of their problems, plus it's a rivalry game that EVERYONE takes seriously.
And the Raiders are even worse than the Chiefs at their lowest. Sorry. No upset this weekend. It's been years since the Faders beat KC, even in Oakland, and there's no reason to expect them to do it on Sunday.

The last time the Dolphins looked this anemic, they were in the AFL.
When they've given the Patriots trouble recently, their hallmark has the defense. This is the worse Miami has looked on that side of the ball since Marino had to carry the franchise. It'd be a ridiculously huge upset, given how the disparity between the two teams this season.

That's one game though, in NOVERMBER... outside of that none of these games have any juice... it will be exciting (as well as excruciating) at the same time if the Eagles Redskins Giants keep it close in the East with me being the die hard Cowboy fan (well maybe take out the Skins... want them to go 0-16 every year)... those are the only matchups that draw any juice... I can't get wrapped up in small market teams like Denver / Jacksonville / Baltimore and plenty more... even if the division races are tight... I guess that's just the typical east coast bias fan in me talking. But some of those teams are just brutal to watch.

I think that Cowboys vs Bills game was one of the best games of the year, the matchup looked horrible at the beginning, but look how the game turned out.

Really? Cowboys v Bills was a game for the ages. There have been plenty other NFL games that are great as well.
Buff was 1-3 going into that game. That is not exactly a lucrative matchup. It was a good game... but that was about it for this month really. Last night's game 6 was a blowout... so were games 4/5 really. The pitching matchups have not lived to expectations.
Guess that the Rockies story hasnt been good enough for you, or the 7 game Indians v Sox series.
I honestly think no body outside of Denver cares about the Rockies.

Everytime we get close something happens.
Last drive we had a fumnble on the 10 that led to a turnover-td.
Before that we had a penalty that dropped us back first and 10 on the 35 instead of first and 10 on the 20, which lead to a missed field goal.
We had an amazing first half except for the first few minutes which lead to a 10-0 lead.

And if you wanna talk system and supporting cast, Manning is still throwing to Harrison, Wayne, Clark, and Addai, not to mention he's been in the same system with the same coordinator since 1998.
And now that Brady actually has a crew to rival Manning's, he's putting up even better numbers than Manning did.

You can't win games when you fumble the ball at the goal line. 2 turnovers, a blocked punt, and a missed field goal were the story of this one. The Bucs defense played rock solid, and the offense ate up the clock. But if you turn the ball over, your drives mean nothing.

Brady's teams have always been better than Mannings overall.
Yes, offensively Manning has always been blessed - but his performance was always ungodly high as well.
Plus, its hard to really look at Manning's weapons and assume that their production level would be the same if they were with another QB, while they are without a doubt talented - the fact they have a QB like Manning giving them the ball certainly makes them look good.
Yes - Manning has had the same coordinator since 1998 - but he also has the most control of his offense than any other QB. They Colts would not be the same team if Manning was replaced with any other QB in the NFL - including Tom Brady.
They are both incredibly good - however Manning's extra responsibilities in game give him the nod in my book.

Brady is better, now we are just seeing a superhuman version of him with actual good receivers to throw to. Before that he was still better than Manning.
I think every time that a team just kicks it out of bounds and takes the penalty instead of kicking it to Hester, the Bears should on the first play of that drive just bomb it out to Hester. Just let him outrun everyone down the field and throw it as far as you can. If you can keep the ball inbounds, I don't think you can overthrow Hester.

It's not about jumping on his bandwagon, it's about appreciating his 'talent' and how well his team's been playing. I already have a team that did well against yours today. :o

Today should have been a blow-out over Oakland, not that ugly slugfest, but I'll take the win. KC goes to the top of the AFC West, if only for a week.

You know what I love? Common Sense. Bless Dbella for recognizing that it's incredibly okay to appreciate greatness without being some kind of bandwagoner.
Also, Boo fran for not realizing this.

which one of these coaches should be fired
Brad Childress ( for thinking Travaris Jackson can lead his team and for continuing to give Chester more carries than Adrian Peterson yet Peterson is the leading rushing in the nfl)
Scott Lineham ( rams are 0-7 nuff said)
Cam Cameron ( how this guy got a gig as the head coach is beyond me)
