KC won't. Jacksonville will fight for a wild card.

The way the AFC West is going, count on KC making it.

Feh, this is what the Chargers do most seasons. They go on brief hot streaks, but not enough to count in the post-season. Only difference last year was they were able to keep it up most of the season.

What bothers me about him is how damn arrogant he comes off. He always has an air of superiority about him. Plus little things he has done over the years. Publicly blaming a loss on his offensive line, overriding his coach by sending the punt squad off the field on 4th and 7. Stuff like that.

Broncos and Bucs were the last teams to get a full makeover,
others teams like the Rams, and most recently the Chargers, have just changed their colors a litle bit.

Do the original Browns to Ravens and Oilers to Titans count as makeovers?

Broncos and Bucs were the last teams to get a full makeover

And talk about a makeover. Broncos get bolder colors, new uniforms, and a new logo. Bucs get a totally new color scheme, uniforms, and logo.

And what happened? Both teams won Super Bowls AFTER the switch. ;)

It's funny, because you always say that he's done all this crap over the years, but you always state the same two examples, of stuff that happened maybe 2-3 years ago. Just admit, you just plain don't like him, at least I'm man enough to admit that about Tom Brady because he cries like a little ***** on a false start when he's up by 35.:cmad:

Maybe he should:

Hold some dog fights.

Date super models.

Have babies out of wedlock.

Beat his wife.

Get arrested for drugs.

Get some Tattoos and piercings.

Not study to be the best QB he can be.

Then maybe you'd like him more. :yay:

Boy...you are desparate aren't you? You mean to tell me that if something was up that it wouldn't be heard in on Pluto?? Every TV network and some not created yet, would have that story going 24/7. :woot:

Unless he loses. Then he is suddenly scape goating anyone he can find IN PUBLIC.

And you're right, his stats will show him as one of the greatest QBs. But of course they will ignore that he has always had a strong line and strong recievers as opposed to someone like Matt Hasselbeck who on a pure talent level is probably Peyton's superior but never had the support cast he has.

Perhaps. But Barry Sanders never won championships for his team like Hasselback has. Matt Hasselback led the Seahawks to a super bowl (and with a couple of upsets can do it again this season) with absolutely no recieving squad, and not that hot of a line either. I'd argue that Hasselback is probably the second best QB in the NFL (ranking them Brady, Hasselback, Manning) simply because Hasselback can get the job done with no weapons and has far more natural talent than Peyton.

Yes, he is. And you're right, he will. My point is, without his recieving squad and line (which have always been great, his entire career) Peyton would probably be at best an average quarterback. Look at Brady. Up until this season he did not have decent recievers and simply an average line. He still won 3 Super Bowls. Peyton could not do that. Hasselback has made the Super Bowl and if I'm not mistaken a couple NFC championships without a recieving squad or line. I doubt Peyton could do that. That is all I am saying.

Peyton has a line and recievers that are on a different level than Hasselback's. All things equal, I believe Hasselback would be the superior quarterback.

This is the reason I give Brady ultimate props and place him higher than Peyton

Likewise. Peyton has choked in all but two major games (last year's AFC Championship and Super Bowl). And in all those chokes, he was surrounded by all stars. That is why I question how well he would do if he was drafted by a team like the Cardinals.

This is the annoying thing I hate about some pundits. If you have a great player on a bad team, that's held against him since he could have accomplished more if he had a good supporting staff. Then if you have a team with a solid lineup of players with one that stands out, THAT's held against him since you wonder if he could have done what he's done without the good supporting staff.

I would argue that Manning's weapons appear to be so great, in part, because of Peyton Manning. The relationship works both ways.

Simply put, you don't throw for the numbers Manning does - even with top talent - and be an average QB. Especially when it his ability to run the offense of the Colts that makes him so special to begin with. His naturally throwing ability combined with his smarts is what places him amongst the Best of All Time and without a question the best of right now.

Speaking of passing...I love what the Steelers are doing this year. Last year all you had to do is double team Heins Ward and you essentially shut down their passing game. I love that Ben has made Heath Miller his number 1 reciever and Santonio Holmes is finally coming into his own and hanging onto the catches. It forces defenses to spread out and allows Heins (like last week's game proved) to be open when it comes time for the big plays.

To quote that astute, ghetto philosopher, Deebo: "Beat him down, I beat you down."

Just one of the many gems Deebo dropped in the movie "Friday," but it's appropriate to recollect for this column since it sums up what we've seen from Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots as they've cruised to 8-0.

Bill Belichick

AP Photo/Reed Saxon

Suge Knight probably wouldn't wear this shirt,
but you can't deny Bill Belichick's street cred.
The Patriots, who prepare for Sunday's midseason Super Bowl against the 7-0 Colts, have redefined pissed off. No one thought better of poking the bear earlier in the season, when the media and other NFL players took shots at the Patriots for Videogate, questioning their championships and calling them cheaters -- even though New England engaged in a practice as common as corsages at the prom.

But like a man once told my trash-talking momma after he whipped her in a game of pool: "Ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun."

The NFL world is considerably brighter since the Patriots assumed the role of the strapped rabbit. The venom the Patriots have displayed the past several weeks has taken them from boring, goody-goody multi-Super Bowl winner to the most interesting, reviled NFL team in years.

In fact, Belichick is no longer just a genius coach with a ratty hoodie. He's added an element of pure gangsta to his already impressive game. He is officially the NFL's Suge Knight.

From here on out, he's Suge Belichick.

This is not a rip on Belichick or the Patriots. This is me fully appreciating their contempt and sense of revenge.

Suge Belichick doesn't care if you like him, his team or his methods. He'll ring up 52 on you, beat you like you stole something, and if the media dares question him about it, he makes Barry Bonds' interactions with the press seem like International Coffee moments. And, according to the tabloids, Suge Belichick will steal your wife, too.

Straight from the Book Of Suge.

Has any team gone from beloved to be-hated like the Patriots? And I thought dogfighting had the real staying power. Turns out, nothing has traction like *****ing about the Patriots.

Bill Belichick

AP Photo/Stephan Savoia

This is the man who might just steal your wife.
Who will be the next player to call the Patriots classless? Who will be the one to question a Patriot flea-flicker at a supposedly inappropriate time? Who wants to be the sacrificial lamb to ensure that another team on the Pats' schedule gets its hind parts rearranged?

People don't seem to understand that the more they criticize the Patriots, the more it fuels their vengeance.

Concerns about whether the Patriots are setting themselves up for a costly cheap shot at one their best players are overblown. Far more disconcerting is the possibility of Belichick exerting more of his Suge-ness.

Ever hear the story about how the real Suge Knight allegedly dangled rapper Vanilla Ice from a 20th-floor balcony to coerce Ice into signing over royalties from "Ice, Ice Baby"? If someone else calls Belichick classless, I'm afraid he might do the same thing to LaDainian Tomlinson, the first to publicly make that statement because New England players stomped on the Chargers logo after disposing of them in last season's playoffs.

The attacks on the Patriots' character are certainly amusing and highly hypocritical. Naturally, Tomlinson failed to mention what teammate Drayton Florence reportedly told fans at Gillette Stadium following San Diego's 41-17 win in 2005. "[Expletive] New England and their team," Florence said, according to the Providence Journal. "Get that look of shock off your faces. Don't be shocked. We beat your ass."

How could the Chargers ever single the Patriots out for cheating -- "I'm not surprised," Tomlinson said when asked for his reaction to the videotape scandal -- when their best linebacker, Shawne Merriman, went to the Pro Bowl after a suspension for violating the league's steroid policy?

Yep, you stay classy, San Diego.

The Dolphins and Redskins, the latest crybabies, should be more embarrassed by their play than anything the Patriots did to them. Miami is pathetic, and the Redskins looked like they checked out of that game in the first quarter. How is it the Patriots' responsibility to have more respect for these teams than they have for themselves?

Besides, it's not in Suge Belichick's nature to care about offending anyone's fragile sensibilities. In fact, if you think about it, how he's handled the Patriots this season represents some of the most masterful coaching ever demonstrated.

All that these controversies have done is give Belichick an excuse to operate in a bunker mentality. Suge Belichick is proving to his guys he will ride or die for them, rejecting the same NFL fraternity that played innocent while his coaching methods and Super Bowls were being deemed a fraud.

So many have risen to demean the Patriots. Now Suge Belichick demeans you. And he loves it.

-Belichick is one gansta-mofo. All other teams should watch their backs :)

You're right. His numbers are great. Though Brady's numbers with the kind of recieving squad and line Manning has enjoyed throughout his career are certainly telling. Not to mention, there is more to football than numbers. Look at how many times Manning has crashed and burned with a team of pro-bowlers at his disposal and compare that to Brady's 3 super bowl rings with a team of at best mediocre to average players.

Here's my take on the whole situation. A great QB is not all about numbers & stats. It's about leading your team to victory and ultimately winning the Super Bowl. The reason why Brady ranks above Manning is because it took Manning a helluva lot longer to reach that goal than Tom. Brady came off the bench and then months, MONTHS, later is the Super Bowl MVP. Brady then went on to win two more times and become Super Bowl MVP one MORE time. Until recently Manning and his Colts were consistantly defeated by the Patriots. Now, yes, they have been then 3 times in the last two season, but it was a team who had sub-average wide-recievers. Manning has NEVER had sub-average WR's. Now that Brady has Moss, Welker and Stallworth, he's showing people that not only is he a better leader as a QB, he can put up better stats than Manning or anyone else for that matter. So those who believe that Manning is better, and I ain't sayin he's not a great QB cause he is, they need to understand that Brady beat Manning for years with WR's who were worse than the ones Manning has. Hell, in their last meeting, Brady had recievers dropping passes left and right, a tired and sick defensive line and a running back with butter fingers....and the Colts only won by 4 points. Now, I'm not picking a winner for this Sunday, because that's bad karma, but I'm only analyzing history.

Brady's teams, however, have always been better than Mannings.

Not as talented necessarily, and while Manning always (until this year) had the superior offensive group, Brady's defense and special teams have always been far stronger. The Patriots became a dynasty not on the arm of Brady alone - its always been a TEAM effort.

The problem with that theory, is that when Manning faced the Patriots on the big stage, he was the one who was taken out of his game for the most part. Last year was a different story, obviously, but I think Manning having off games is a big part of the equation. He is the quarterback.

They've also both won at least 5 games. :) The titans have a better run defense, I think better TOP, and have greatly improved year over year. We're just rebuilding around Young in his 1st full year as a starter. I also think the Titans have a better running offense...though I might be wrong. The Titans problem is passing offense. Vince has been injured so I'll give him that, and I also think Chow is limiting Vince and forcing him to go against his instincts which might be bad. When Vince was improvising and making his own choices the scores were higher.

DJ Gallo's AM Jump: Patriots vs Colts

You have probably seen a bit of coverage, here and there, on the upcoming Patriots-Colts game. I was going to preview the matchup for you, but what can I really add at this point? Instead, I decided to tell you some interesting facts that you may not know about the TWO GREATEST TEAMS IN FOOTBALL HISTORY!!!

(And, please, if you know any facts about the Patriots and Colts that I failed to include, add them in the comments section below.)

• A Toyota Tundra traveling 400 mph while towing 12 cargo planes once tried to penetrate the Patriots' offensive line. The convoy exploded on impact.

• When Stephen Gostkowski kicks the ball, he kicks it so hard that every pig in the world suffers a broken rib. And footballs aren't even made of pigskin anymore.

• Peyton Manning has a lifetime $100 trillion contract to be the official endorser of canned Whoop-Ass.

• Human growth hormone didn't work for Rodney Harrison. He is a god, not a human.

Peyton Manning

AP Photo/Rick Havner

There is no doubt, Peyton Manning is indeed a deity.
• When Peyton Manning mooned that girl in college, he did not show her his butt. He showed her the actual moon. He holds it, and the rest of the universe, in his right hand. Every pass he throws is a shooting star.

• At God's right hand sits Tom Brady. At His left sits Peyton Manning. At His feet sits the entire world, worshipping him. And above Him is Bill Belichick, moving God around with marionette strings.

• There are four primary sacred texts in the world: the Bible, the Koran, the Torah and the Patriots' playbook.

• How do you know the Patriots aren't running up the score? Their opponents are still alive.

• The U.S. Navy has a top-secret destroyer-class ship that is invisible and annihilates anything in is path. Its name? The U.S.S. Tedy Bruschi.

• Bill Belichick is such a genius, he nearly compiled a .500 record with the Cleveland Browns.

• A perfect quarterback rating is 158.3. Tom Brady's is infinity.

• A Marvin Harrison football card is worth more than the U.S. dollar. Soon the Euro will be replaced by the Harrison.

• Colts center Jeff Saturday is so good, they named a day after him.

• A rolling stone gathers no moss. That's just further proof that nothing can keep up with Randy Moss.

• Tom Brady's offensive line provides five layers of protection. No one has ever even glimpsed layers two through five.

• Adam Vinatieri is actually left-footed. He kicks with his weak foot so he can keep the ball in the stadium.

• SPOILER ALERT: The final episode of the NBC series "Heroes" shows all the Heroes coming together to form the 2007 New England Patriots.

• Junior Seau doesn't believe in Santa Claus. He killed him for entering his house unannounced when he was 6.

• Bill Belichick is dating your mom.

• Hunter Smith hunts humans. The wall of his den is covered with the heads of punt returners who dared to try to cross the 50.

Tom Brady

AP Photo/Stephan Savoia

There was never a time when Tom Brady wasn't sexy.
• Tom Brady was named People magazine's "sexiest baby" in 1977.

• Bill Belichick is so far inside your head, he knows what you are going to do next.

• Bill Belichick said you would read this line next.

• "Bob Sanders" is not his real name. That's an obvious alias. His real name? Assassin Jones.

• Bill Belichick cuts the sleeves off his sweatshirts because he doesn't want to get blood on his sleeves when he rips out an opponent's heart.

• Bob Kraft has so many Super Bowl rings, he gives them away for free to Russian heads of state.

• The Colts don't run up the score. They dial up the pain.

• Jesus bought Tony Dungy's book to learn how to be a better man.

• Dallas Clark's real name is Andy McGee. He just gave himself a porn-star name so his opponents would be even more humiliated when he scores on them.

• Satellites are not put into space by rockets. Unless you consider Peyton Manning's rocket arm a real rocket.

• Bill Belichick is so good at cheating, we will never know even half the stuff he has done.

-This was hilarious to me. And a bit true :)

The part about Belichick pulling God's strings cracked me up. This game, for all the Hype, even if it doesn't live up to it, is producing some hillarious reading material :woot:

Titans defense ready for Carolina's Foster, Williams By Teresa M. WalkerThe Associated PressNASHVILLE, TN, Nov. 1, 2007 — The Tennessee Titans ribbed defensive tackle Tony Brown mercilessly. Not for his 10 tackles, but for the bigger play he didn't make intercepting one of the balls that bounced near him.

This season, the Titans can enjoy the chance to nitpick.
A defense that gave up more yards than any other in the NFL in 2006 now is the league's stingiest unit against the run and fifth in yards allowed. When Carolina visits Sunday, the Titans (5-2) will be looking to hold an opponent to 14 points or fewer for the sixth time this season.
"They're definitely probably the best defense I've seen on film all year," Panthers quarterback David Carr said.
Nice words, but the Titans aren't listening. They have a goal this season to finish in the top 10 defensively, their way of erasing the ugly statistics of 2006, when they missed the playoffs by one game.
"It really doesn't matter to us what people think of us," Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch said.

This season isn't over yet. This defense is scary though. Titans never had anyone like Haynesworth before. He's dominating and Kyle Vanden Bosch to me is more impressive than Jevon Kearse. He's literally in on every play whether the stats show it or not. This is Vince Young's first year as a starter from game 1 and the TItans sched is not easy. Jags twice, Colts twice, Texans are tough, Panthers, Bucs, etc...

Yes, the D is much improved, but V. Young mann, he shows a lot of immaturity in his passing, he thinks he can do it alone, and that ain't gone get it. I'm rooting for you guys in the Wild card, cause somebody's got to go gainst the Pats.

Would you rather have a QB who puts up gaudy TD numbers, but loses the games when it counts, or one who just wins games for you???

Please answer. I would like to know.

The question is loaded-When was the last time we had that happen, a QB w/ great TD numbers, and then doesn't win, that by def, will win him some games and hopefully the rest can be compensated by the D, or run game to win a playoff series. Manning kind of did that in 2002 when we got beat by Chad Pennington:cmad: in the first round, but that time of performance a good QB, an average QB learns from and overcomes.

I'd rather see Vince do less jive ass commercial stuff and not have him feel he's the bee's knees! J. Fisher has always had great schemes, the way McNair handled the offense was a model for that club.

Cincinati Benglas. 2003. Jon Kitna had 26 TD's vs 15 INTS. Not too shabby. They went 8-8. Granted, 500 isnt too bad, but still, with those numbers, you expect more.

The Patriots are smart in the way they are playing. Think about it. They are playing to their fullest potential, and they look unstoppable. Teams that watch those games, watch Brady going for it on 4th down in the 4th quarter, watch him throwing deep to Moss with a 30+ point lead, averaging 40 points a game and even their rushing attack, which is cast under the shadow of the passing game, is great even without Marooney earlier in the year. They are averaging something like over 130 yards per game aren't they? Opponents know that even if they play their best possible offensive game against a great Patriots defense, they still would probably lose. Its the fear factor, the hopelessness that you have going against them. I guarantee you the defense is still trying to stop Brady in the 4th quarter of the those blow outs because they are pissed. And the Patriots still can't be stopped. The Colts don't have that kind of attitude about them.

Funny how everyone just crowns the Pats after they put together a nice little streak... just remember what happened to the 04 Colts people. Its not what you do in the regular season... this isn't a BCS format. All it takes is one game to turn things around... pretty soon Belicheck's ego will catch up to him... he will lose left tackle or a defensive lineman or a corner here and there... not that those injuries can't happen to anyone... but if he wants to win by 30 and leaves his starters in there for an extra series or two it will eventually come back to bite them. Just remeber how quickly that defense fell apart last year againt the Colts... I can't wait for this season to blow up in the Pats faces... it won't happen this week... but heck wouldn't it be something if a team like the Jets or Dolphins takes out one of their key players in those divisional games late in the year... and it doesn't have to be a Tom Brady even. Ofcourse if they end up with a loss they will rest everyone in the Giants game... and after a three week layoff... that offense won't exactly be lighting it up against a San Diego or Pitt defense in the first half at least... I'll be taking the CHargers in that game no matter what happens by then... but still a long ways to go... and I am not sold on this undefeated nonsense even if they win by 28 this week.

For those folks who are wishing a Pats loss this Sunday, I say be careful what you wish for. If you think they are playing mad now, you ain't seen nothin' yet. If they lose to the Colts, you better believe that every team that plays the Pats after their bye week will be losing by 20-25 points. They will play with such a vengence and then when they meet (and the will) the Colts in the AFC championship game, they will deliever such an @$$-kicking that the league might have to just give them the Lombardi trophy cause the sad sack coward NFC team that wins their championship might just throw in the white flag......just a possible scenario :)

After 'The Hit,' Ravens, Steelers set to clash again

OWINGS MILLS -- The bullying hit is now a memory as Baltimore Ravens linebacker Bart Scott's helmet is no longer attached to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's chest plate.

One year after Scott buried an unsuspecting Roethlisberger with a tackle whose decibels nearly equaled the pain it produced, the Ravens and the Steelers are about to battle again for bragging rights and supremacy in the AFC North.

Can the Ravens (4-3) recapture the intimidation factor against the Steelers (5-2) on Monday night at Heinz Field based on last season's dominance? Or is Scott's dream shot, along with a combined 58-7 margin of victory in two Baltimore wins, completely irrelevant to this year's series between the hated rivals?

"That's gone," Scott said Tuesday afternoon in the Ravens' locker room. "We all get hits, it doesn't follow us. Ben's a great competitor, and I doubt it's lingering on his mind.

"It's the most perfect, square hit I've been able to ever get, to be able to unload on somebody and his body was totally loose. It put a stamp on my season, that I had arrived in the NFL. That was last year, though. If I lived for yesterday, you would get rid of me."

Aside from Scott's oft-replayed sack that ultimately landed him on the cover of Sports Illustrated, the Ravens generated 13 other sacks of Roethlisberger in the two games: a 27-0 shutout in Baltimore and a 31-7 rout in Pittsburgh.

Pro Bowl running back Willie Parker was halted in his tracks by the Ravens' stingy defense, gaining a combined 53 rushing yards on 23 carries. In his 14 other games, Parker dashed for 1,443 yards.

The Steelers only lost two games in the second half of last season, both against the Ravens.

"Man, they roughed us up a lot," Roethlisberger told Pittsburgh reporters this week. "They're a great football team, offensively and defensively."

Pittsburgh managed to gain just 172 yards of total offense, including 21 rushing yards, in the first meeting as Baltimore piled up three turnovers and registered nine sacks to tie the most allowed in a game by the Steelers in franchise history.

Then, the Ravens' offense extinguished the Steelers' playoff hopes with 359 yards of total offense as quarterback Steve McNair put on a rare display of deep passing.

"They want to come back and redeem themselves in front of their crowd after losing to us twice," Scott said. "It's going to be a great challenge."

A year later, it's the Ravens who look vulnerable.

Their four wins have come against teams with a combined record of 6-24. They have yet to play an entire game against a starting quarterback who began the season under center.

Running roughshod over the Steelers last season feels like old news to the Ravens, who are probably hoping that Pittsburgh isn't looking to exact a measure of revenge.

"That's a lifetime ago," Ravens coach Brian Billick said twice for emphasis. "It's a whole new ballgame, and they know that."[/b]

Owning a one-game edge in the division, the Steelers have been established widely as nine-point favorites for Monday night's nationally-televised clash.

The Steelers dispatched the Cincinnati Bengals 31-17 on Sunday, easily handling a team that handed the Ravens a 27-20 loss to open the season.

The Steelers feature the NFL's top-ranked defense just ahead of the Ravens' second-ranked unit, allowing a league-low 256.9 yards per game and 17.0 points per contest. Parker is the third-ranked runner in the NFL with 639 yards.

And Roethlisberger has completed 64.1 percent of his throws for 1,533 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions for a 102.2 quarterback rating, distributing the football democratically to wide receivers Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes and tight end Heath Miller.

"The Steelers are probably the best team we've faced yet," cornerback Samari Rolle said. "Roethlisberger is looking like he did when he was a rookie and they were 15-1."

In particular, the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Roethlisberger has been at the center of that resurgence, making plays with his arm and his surprisingly nimble feet.

Last season, Roethlisberger was recuperating from a motorcycle crash, an emergency appendectomy and a pair of concussions.

Because of the big Ohio native's ability to improvise, it's critical that the Ravens at least pressure him even if they're not able to knock him out of the game.

"If we can get to him early, maybe that will be on his mind," Scott said. "Until we do that and establish ourselves, last year means nothing.

"A hit last year doesn't affect this year. The key will be getting to him again. Hopefully, I've got another hit in me just like that one from last year."

A judge who sentenced Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid's sons to jail yesterday likened the coach's home to “a drug emporium” and questioned whether his adult sons should live there.

“There isn't any structure there that this court can depend upon,” Montgomery County Judge Steven O'Neill said before sentencing 22-year-old Britt Reid to up to 23 months in jail plus probation.
“I'm saying this is a family in crisis,” O'Neill said.
Earlier in the day, O'Neill sentenced 24-year-old Garrett Reid, a drug addict and dealer who said he got a thrill out of selling drugs in “the 'hood,” to up to 23 months in jail for smashing into another motorist's car while high on heroin.
Both Reids can apply for a special drug court program that would require them to report to authorities regularly, undergo rigorous drug testing and hold down jobs. Garrett Reid's addiction persists, according to authorities, who found 89 prescription drug pills in Reid's jail cell yesterday morning. They believe he smuggled them in his rectum when he was jailed earlier this week.

Two of Andy Reid's sons were involved in two separate incidents Tuesday, and one of them was taken to a local hospital for a blood test after police found drug paraphernalia in his possession, according to investigators.

Police said Britt Reid was involved in some sort of dispute with another driver in West Conshohocken Tuesday morning.

The man, a local carpenter, told police that he and a man in his 20s with reddish hair, driving a black SUV, exchanged curse words and hand gestures as they jockeyed for position on an area road Tuesday. When the two stopped at a red light, the carpenter said the man got out of his SUV, threatened him verbally and flashed a gun at him before fleeing, according to police.
Following the incident, investigators filed warrants for the Reid home and SUV.
A source tells NBC 10 News that investigators recovered two weapons; one from the SUV and a platinum handgun from the Reid home. The source also said that police recovered drugs from the SUV.
In a separate incident, a second son of Reid's, 24-year-old Garrett Reid, was found to have drug paraphernalia -- but not drugs -- on him after he was involved in a car crash Tuesday afternoon.
A 55-year-old woman, injured in the crash, was released from the hospital Wednesday.
Police did not receive the blood test results yet and did not immediately file any charges.
