McGahee has been poor all season and he still found a way to run over the Patriots. As for Parker, he still has over 90YPG(second in the league). They will use Parker a lot next Sunday. He also only has 2 TD's cause the Steelers pass more when they are in the red zone.
I cant see how you can say that Willis has been poor all season when he is 4th in the league in rushing yards .

And now the Ravens are blaming the game on the refs, *****ing and whining. What really kinda struck me was that one of them said something to the effect of:
"We wanted to win the game for Sean Taylor. We won the game for him. Its a shame the refs took that win away." And then there was the other predictable whining about the NFL wanting to keep Brady winning or whatever. Same bull****.
But that stuff about Taylor was kind of over the line.

Oh come on Fran, the Patriots had a 100 yards worth of penalties.
Umm..no, they didn't.
Pats had 4 penalties for 30 yards
Ravens had 13 penalties for 100 yards

The refs blew two calls in that game, possibly more....the defensive holding in the endzone was a phantom call, and that Gaffney touchdown wasn't a TD. He DID NOT have control of the ball, he was switching hands when he went out......
I feel bad for yah Kaleb and the rest of the Ravens fans, you guys played amazing up untill that last drive.
BTW that timeout Rex Ryan called..right then and there the spiral began.
At least this game shows that The Patriots aren't "The Best Team Ever" and its no longer a forgone conclusion that they win the Superbowl either.

Yeah, I didn't like seeing that crap either. :down
Baltimore just lost. Boller's bonehead toss toward the end zone, that timeout Ryan called on 4th down, choosing not to bring the house on Brady late and shooting themselves in the foot with all the penalties didn't help. There were certainly some questionable calls (Gaffney was clearly juggling that ball and trying to secure it when he went out of bounds), but this conspiracy garbage needs to stop.
"It's hard to play the Patriots and the refs. They put the crown on top and they want them to win. They won."

Im not calling conspiracy, but those calls were bad....watch the replay of the goal line play that was called defensive holding, there was none, there was contact towards the end of the play but the ball was over Watson head and didn't look catchable.
I give it to The Patriots cause they do find a way to win, but "Best Team Ever" they are not.
I disagree. You can see some holding at the beginning of the play, past the ten yard cut off. It didn't take place in the end zone, but it was there. But even if it were bad, some of the calls against the Patriots in the first 3 quarters were bad. Its just the way the game goes. You get some for you and you get some against you.

I wasn't aiming the conspiracy stuff at you, Donnie. I'm talking about Baltimore's players. Just from what I caught on Mike and Mike this morning, those guys are out of control with some of the stuff flying out of their mouths. The defensive holding call was ticky-tack and I cursed when it happened (same with Gaffney's TD) but for Suggs and McAllister to act like that stuff just happened because they were up against 'Tom Brady: Golden Boy and the Pursuit of Perfection' is weak. They played a hell of a game and now they wanna cry as if the Boogeyman was out to get them. Ridiculous.
Especially when everyone knows Peyton Manning is the NFL's golden boy where as Brady is the guy everyone wants to see lose. :cwink:

ok ok. I do agree that excuses even my own are just that excuses. Baltimore still should have executed. Didn't they go three and out three straight drives in the 4th. They showed a break down of Willis' carries, I think he got 5 in the 4th, they should have just continued to pound it.
Radio reported that Bart Scott's outburst was because the ref made racial slurs at him or Samari Rolle....wasn't the ref black?

For all you folks out there talkin' about how the refs gave the game to the Patriots, if you can, you should go back and watch the first 3 & 1/2 quarters of that SAME game. There were so many holding calls and pass interference calls that WEREN'T called towards the Ravens. The Ravens played a HELL of a game and I take my hats off to them, but to say that the refs gave the Patriots the games because they want them to go undefeated, please. If anything, the Patriots have had so many bogus calls this season, it's a surprise they are undefeated. Like the "Push-off" call that negated Randy Moss' TD in the Philly game last week or like the whole damn Colts/Patriots game from a few weeks ago. The refs didn't throw that last Boeller interception. The refs didn't get three-and-out giving the Pats the ball again. The refs didn't call a stupid time-out on 4th-and-1. You make mistakes on the level that the Ravens did, you're gonna lose, especially to the Patriots.

Moss gave ST a nice nod; after the td catch he patted his helmet and point at the sky.
The prob. is weve gotten so pass oriented; they have gotten pass defense oriented; hence why pqassing the ball to Maroney 5 yards out become 2 40 yard plays.

Just thinking about last night's game and realized the best thing that can happen for New England is they loose next week to Pittsburgh. That way they can start resting players as soon as they lock the #1 seed. I really think they're offense playing at the level it plays until the clock runs out every game is starting to take it's toll on the defense.
They spent the off season building a team that could out score Indy and San Diego - Good job! You proved it! Now remember you play in Foxboro in January.

Reprieve: Travis Henry wins suspension appeal
NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Travis Henry has won his appeal of his one-year suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Upset of the year. The Broncos were confident all along, but it's extremely rare for the NFL to essentially admit a mistake this big. Henry, who was slated to backup Selvin Young last week before Young was hurt, should step back into the starting lineup this week. If Young or Andre Hall get healthy, Henry's recent ineffectiveness could lead to diminished playing time. For now, he's a solid RB2 against the Chiefs this week. Dec. 4 - 5:01 pm et

Chargers pay a visit to the Tennessee this weekend. 1st time they've been there. Titans are finally healthy on defense again and Young is actually passing pretty damn good...and the recievers are catching the balls. Williams helped this past week. Good aquisition.

They want the big market teams... yet they take them when they are playing ***** teams... I don't get it.
And as far as the Pats... I said it in preseason... I'll say it again... they'll be one and done in the playoffs... they can't run the football for the life of them... and Moss will fade down the stretch... and that defense made Kyle Boller look like a pro bowler... those linebackers can't play anymore... and Harrison is shot. LT will have a field day on them if the lightning bolts can get through to that round.

I think it's ridiculous that people think that New England will be one and done in the Playoffs just because they are no longer blowing people out in their games. Look folks: now that the Pats look like they have a shot at going undefeated any and every team is going to play them like it's the Superbowl. Did you see all that emotion from the Ravens? You could swear that they thought they were gonna get championship rings by beating New England. The Patriots play every game "the same." Everybody else is circling their games with the Pats on the calender because they want to take that opportunity to end their undefeated streak. They are throwing EVERYTHING AND the kitchen sink at New England and playing with more emotion than most teams play all season...and the Patriots STILL win. The problem with playing with all that emotion running high all game is that sometimes, most of the times, you end up making emotional mistakes that can cost you the game. Case and point the Eagles and Ravens. They both made mistakes because that were riding a wave of emotion that can cloud your judgment. THAT is why New England keeps winning. When the game is on the line they remain calm, collected and stick to the plan. The Ravens and Eagles not only got beat by New England, but they beat themselves as well. You have to play a FULL 60 minutes of perfect football to beat them and there aren't many teams that can do that. The Steelers have a really good chance, but they have to be mistake-free, cause Brady and the Bunch will take advantage of EVERY mistake they make and it WILL cost them the game. New England never said they were invincible...everyone else did, they are just playing to the best of their ability and trying to win...one game at a time.

So now the Ravens are a good football team? Cmon... that defense is decent but no where NEAR what it once was... and the offense is a joke... Mcgahee was never a big time consistent back, but more of a streaker. And Ogden as just a shadow of his former self and Todd Heap isn't a big time tight end anymore... was he or is he injured at any point this year? His numbers are atrocious. And lets keep in mind A.J Feelerception picked that defense apart a couple weeks ago. The Pats defense is not a big time defense anymore that's all there is to it... Samuel and the defensive line is all they got... and the linebackers have been getting exposed the last few weeks.
And the offense has zero balance... their running game is less a threat than the Packers running threat right now. I like Maroney but he isn't gonna wear defenses down with 30+ carries. He is a finisher don't get me wrong... but not a guy you can consistently pound it with. Not that they need that, but still... holes are holes.
I am not writing off any of the division leaders off in the AFC... Pitt is legit but we already knew that... and all the Chargers need to do is win their next two (or one of two if the Broncos slip up again)... and then beat Denver. If they can rest LT a week before the playoffs and get healthy... they could be dangerous. Its not how you start but how you finish... if the Chargers get hot over this last month they'll be a tough out.

It's dumb as hell to think that a team that is consistently finding ways to win was being criticized earlier this season for running up the score and now that they are only winning by like 3 points, they're being criticized for not scoring enough. Its just me sticking to my guns... that's how I had it going down in the preseason... I had the Chargers in the Superbowl... I am still waiting for them to get it turned around... they win their next three I'll be convinced that they can at least be competetive if they find themselves in Foxboro in mid January barring major injury. Agreed; perhaps after 2 game-making catch and runs, Maroney will be a bigger part of the offense; not just running but out there for receptions instead of Faulk, though I think despite only having 6 days instead of 7 AND Tuesday off; the real advantage wil be that its at at 4. I think a big part of why theyve struggled is playing Sunday Night, Sunday Night, and Monday Night. ;)

Exactly why the Pats will go in there with a mentality of having won before the game even starts...and that is a very dangerous attitude to have before a football game.

Gryant Bumble is terrible as a football commentator. No argument there. But, at least he tries to comment on the damn game. I get so frustrated with the jackasses that do the commentary for college games on ESPN because they talk about EVERY SINGLE GAME COMING UP EXCEPT FOR THE ONE THAT IS BEING PLAYED AT THE MOMENT!!!! It's horribly irritating. They'll talk for ten minutes about a completely different game, pimping it up, to the point that they don't even mention what's going on on the field and that includes any penalties, turnovers or anything that happens. I watched them keep talking about another upcoming game while one of the teams playing in the current game scored a touchdown and they didn't even MENTION the touchdown until much later in the broadcast. I think thats more of the Bears bad defense than anything else really. I say if Grossman can't go for a game or two, put Orton in. We know what Griese is. Take the chains from around Orton's hands and let him take his turn getting a beating behind that horrible offensive line and lets see if he fares any better than Griese.

Hope I don't get nachos thrown at me like the last time I went there for a Browns/Jets game when someone threw nachos at my mother...wish I would have seen who did it (no one fessed up when I asked who did it).

Payton did turn down U-M. Schiano was just chatting about it, nothing real serious.
Word is that they're looking at Ron English or Mike DeBord.

What they really need is an entirely new offensive line except for Kreautz. The rest of them are pretty much done for their careers. I get frustrated at Ron Turner for his play calling, but really without a decent o-line, it's tough to call a good offensive game. The o-line is ****ing paper. Not construction paper either, more like tissue paper.

Your right...it makes so much sense, it couldn't possibly work.
But the Bears o-line is a problem, I grant you.

Lance Briggs-LB-Bears Dec. 7 - 6:30 pm et
The 49ers were reportedly close to acquiring LB Lance Briggs from the Bears in the days leading up to October's trade deadline.
Chicago was to trade Briggs for an unspecified draft pick, and the 49ers were to sign him long term. But an NFL rule made the new contract impossible because Briggs was another team's franchise player, and talks were called off. Yahoo's Jason Cole writes that Chicago expects to lose Briggs to free agency and that the 49ers may be the favorites to get him.

Rodney Harrison fined for taunting Billick
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3146636
Rodney Harrison - $5000.
"He said a few things about me, Kyle [Boller], and my team and I just want him to know first, we love you Rodney, and secondly you can kiss my back side," Billick said. "But, I don't take offense to what Rodney did and I hope he doesn't misinterpret my gestures, because he's not that good-looking a guy."

As a global mod, not sure why that is relevant...
Actually I'm perfectly fine with lighthearted fun in here, and definitely fine with it when it is pertinent to the discussion at hand....., but we have had countless irrelevant pics, videos etc....I am simply following the lead of the admin that have modded in this thread recently....
But we cannot deem one's lighthearted pics and videos wrong and delete, and then allow others......
I think I should be an exception. :csad:

I couldnt agree more.......I get tired of all the pic posting in here.....and now you girls are crying over "creativity".......give me a ****ing break....if you can't get your point across by discussion, then get off the Hype and go read a thesaurus and expand your vocabulary some. I'd like if pics being posted in specific threads were banned entirely. Matter of fact, the celebrity thread needs to just be eliminated, it encourages stalkerish behavior and the Hype is enabling it.

No...no.....no................creativity was my word not theres.....some of the pics and videos have been fun to look at, but because some over do it just to piss people off in here, we've had to cut them out. If some are talking about a bad call, for example, and they have a pic or video to prove their point...I have no problem with that...
Now, as far as the celebrity forum, if we didn't have it, ALL of those threads would be in this forum (community)....so having them there in one place out of community is to help community....but I agree seems to be some stalkering going on over there...lol.
