My hopes for the Superbowl

How about them "PACKERS"!!!!! After the first 4 minutes of the game, I wanted to puke. I watched the game with my 80 year old grandmother, who's about as diehard Packer fan as the come, and she threw the remote after the 2nd fumble. :woot:

Then the Pack righted the ship and whipped the Seahawk ass.

Now, hopefully the Giants can pull off the upset and give the Pack home field for the NFC Championship Game. Eli would **** himself playing at Lambeau in January and in those conditions (weather + plus Packer fans).

Green Bay getting to the Super Bowl would be good enough, but the Packers being the only team the Pats lose to all season would be absolutely amazing and great way for Farve to retire.

Moss better drop that ego down a lot of notches. It's not over yet and he'll end up looking extremely stupid should they lose in the playoffs. I love Patriots and want them to win the Super Bowl undefeated, however, Moss really needs to tone it down.

What? All he said was great game, the team played great, well keep it up ect. He did his part even though I didnt catch too much, his blocking and hard route running opened up the running game and thigns for Welker, Stallowrth, Faulk, Maroney 33 yard catch.

Yes-he is wearing a Superman sweatshirt-but hes not T.O.

Reggie Nelson on Tom Brady: "Ha int all that....anybody can go 26-28 in a check down game"

Down the hall, "he ain't all that" dumbfounded Randy Moss.

"What?" Moss said. "It wasn't impressive? When you lose you're going to say things that (are) really inappropriate. You're talking about the MVP, that's Tom Brady.

"I'm not even going to respond to that."

They are starting MBIII today. It's about time. Can't wait for the game. Our secondary better make some plays. I'm talking to you Newman.

Starting dont matter, its whoever gets the most touches though Jones has looked aweful this season; what happened to him?

the NFL wants the largets tv markets.....and NY is definitely a larger tv market than Dallas/ft worth

No, LIke I said....Dallas Cowboys game have the highest ratings EVERY week. They truly are Americas team.

Gates active, starting against Indianapolis

Despite coming into the game listed as "doubtful," Antonio Gates (toe) is active and will start Sunday against the Colts.

Just having Gates around as a decoy would be a huge benefit for the Chargers. Gates passed the pre-game warmups test and is ready to at least try to play. We'll have to see how effective he'll be on a toe that may require surgical repair once the Chargers' season ends. Jan. 13 - 11:00 am et

Since the Dallas Cowboys were involved in the most watched Superbowl of all time in 1996, I would say that the Patriots/Cowboys would score a pretty good viewership. It doesn't matter why they are watching, it matters that they are watching. Same can be said for the Patriots, there are alot of people watching, wanting them to lose.

The Cowboys are always involved in the "most watched games" when they are a good team, primarily because their fans, the lowest forms of band wagoning scum on the earth, tune in when they are good. So with Dallas in the super bowl look for huge numbers.

Cowboys fans are worse than Philly sports fans?

Cowboys fans dont even exist if the team loses. I realize a lot of Philly sports fans are arrogant even know they haven't won anything. But at least there is loyalty.

Dallas is the cockroaches, they're everywhere in ideal circumstances, but when that light comes on and the Cowboys hit the skids they take off running.

Michael Turner-RB-Chargers Jan. 13 - 12:56 pm et

The Chicago Tribune's David Haugh believes the Bears will consider signing Michael Turner in the offseason.

Turner is a Chicago native and went to Northern Illinois. The Bears have roughly $20 million in cap space and want a running back with big play ability. Cleveland, Oakland, and Houston could also have interest in Turner.

Related: Bears, Browns, Texans, Raiders

I also just read about a Jonathan Vilma for Roy Williams trade possibly happening.

He threw the ball instead of gaining an easy 1st down by running, he will not take a hit. Plus he can't manage a game. Now he's done better, but that doesn't make him good.

Because Buddy Ryan placed a cash prize on the Cowboys kicker and whoever could injure him would receive it. Jimmy Johnson learned of this and called out Buddy, "calling him fat" like Buddy didn't know.

Buddy was a bad coach but games were fun when he was in town.

Jimmy Johnson won two super bowls so he got his revenge.

But at that time the Eagles were better, the Cowboys were whiners and the fans threw snowballs. Certainly nothing to be proud of.

If Rivers stays out, this Volek guy ain't gonna be able to lead them to a win. Unless the defense just goes crazy and shuts down Indy for the next 10:50. I'm not the biggest fan of Rivers (he just comes off as a rude frat boy), but he's definitely a large step up from their backup.

Nope, they also threw snowball grenades at Jimmy Johnson when he went for it on a 4th and 1 in the same game.....

Buddy Ryan also put at a $500 bounty on the Dallas kicker one season to his players....

Honestly the Dallas hatred is more for Buddy Ryan than the team itself......but the Eagles still hold many a grudge from the 70's when Dallas was winning and they weren't.....but its not near as bad now....

The Knicks and Sixers have both lost a finals. The Sixers were terrible in the 90's and the Knicks choked every year with Patrick Ewing.

The Flyers and Rangers choked many times in the 90's. The Flyers more than the Rangers because the Rangers finally won their cup in 94. Then they missed the playoffs 7 straight times.

The Mets haven't won since 1986 the Phillies since 1980. Mets have been more successful.

But for New York a city with twice as many sports teams thats nothing impressive. Even though New York fans are SO FRIENDLY and NICE......
