I personally liked the SM3 game. Sure some glitches and flaws, but overall the best Spider-Man game right now. I loved the parts where we had to click the buttons when the appeared onscreen so we could get out of certain situations. The action sequences were well done.

i agree, Iron Fist. SM3 was good, but we're talking SM4. Actually, the game should be like this:

Now, that sounds like a good videogame. Mainly because the top three baddies haven't been used yet in a game. I do want to see Kraven, Scorpion, and Lizard as the main villains in the movie, but all the villains you mentioned would make a good game. Hell, someone suggested Hydro-Man and while it would be coming off the coattails of Sandman, as well as Carnage would, it wouldn't be that bad of an idea. But if I were to make the baddies list:

Electro

Smythe and Kingpin
Silver Sable
And a team-up of Mysterio, Shocker, and Vulture after breaking out of Ryker's with plans to kill the webhead.

So, I'd say- same exact system as SM3... just actually use the film's plot and action sequences and then and only then brainstorm other ideas to supplement that, not the other way around. The movie plot just felt tacked on- it shouldn't be like that. SM2 worked with the plot PERFECTLY, why couldn't SM3 have done the same?

I agree with Tempest19 in that it should have more stuff from the actual movie, and I think as some bonus villains (assuming they are not in the film anyway): Hobgoblin, Carnage, Venom, Sandman and Hydroman. i'd also like to see Sandman and Hrydroman linked somehow. Maybe have the same experiment thingy done too Hydroman, but somehow water gets in as well.

I think Carnage should not even be THOUGHT of for the movie or game. Hopefully Venom is around so he can get a bigger part in the game. Lizard of course. Maybe Mysterio or Kraven. Depends which villains they want, though each of them have had a few game appearances. I say Alistair Smythe (becoming all steroided up eventually), Kingpin, and maybe JUUUUUST maybe.....Vulture.

That would mean that buying one now is a complete waste because 2008' is just around the corner and games are still being made for the PS2. So why waste all that money on a system that will be outdone in a year? Those systems are not coming out that soon. No console company is willing to waste that much money putting out the still "new" systems only to have them last two to three years top. That thought is wack. Truth spoken.

Agreed, the Xbox 360 only cameout so soon as competition for PS3. The next generation consoles won't come out for quite some time now, especially since it would be hard to improve anything.

that's not true. Do you have any idea what kind of financial hit SONY took making PS-3? There might not even be a PS 4. They haven't decided if it's worth investing in the research, because SONY is losing a hundred and fifty dollars on each console they sell, and they are still trailing in retail sales.

I visited my cousin who lives in the year 2009 and I saw part of Spiderman 4. Lizards not in it. BMB wrote the screenplay. Its terrible.

Anyway, since this was basically year one for the real systems of this generation, theres no way the next gen will be in full swing by 2010. PS3 hasnt even begun to sell the units they need and start making money off the software sales, so they definently wouldnt put out a new console and go through it all again so soon. Maybe Microsoft will have something new out by then though.

SM4 should not be a free-roam game, it should be a SM1 clone since that was the only good one.

They got SM2 so right all they needed to do was improve the things you can do and have more variety in missions and minigames. Yet the free roam in USM and especially SM3 sucks. SM2 was on the cusp of something great SM3 is as bland as SR game free roam.

usm had a better looking city, imo, if you combined the city of usom withthe biuldings it was missing frm the really ny then give the swinging the same look from sm3 were hes thrown around etc spinning and turning on the webs, and the rest is tken from sm2 thatwould be a great game

I've been thinking suppose the villains in the movie are Lizard and Kraven and they do the Kraven hunts the Lizard storyline. This might be a problem for the game since the SM3 game already did this.
