Downloading the actual video is kinda useless at this point because it's not a video format, it's a java applet. We need to capture it with a DVR or something because downloading it is no use.

It was an unfortunate let down out here in San Francisco at WonderCon, as the Spider-Man 3 panel consisted of one measly 2 minute trailer and no celebrity appearences at all. However, it did have a few new scenes and a bit of exciting new footage, which we have details of here!

It starts with Eddie Brock going into the church and the “I want you to kill Spider-Man” line. Very dark trailer, all about the symbiote. The Columbia logo turns to black (like black Spidey). There's a new scene with Dr. Connors (aka Lizard) with Peter and they have a small sample of the symbiote and the catch it in an upside-down beaker, and it jumps around. Connors says “it seems to like you.” Another new scene is an extended one of Spidey in his black suit webslinging through some building with subways going by with the camera following (awesome shot) and he ends up right at Sandman before it cuts. Another new line from Mary Jane: “I'm worried about you.” And another cut where Peter says “I need your help.” Near the end it has the text “a hero must fight” (from the other trailers) but then says “the venom within” instead and it cuts to Peter ripping off the symbiote in the bell tower and extended catch scene where a lot more of the symbiote falls onto Brock than just the drop. Then it shows the zooming into the mouth scene we've seen before. Then it shows the title and “May 4″ and fades slowly into the last scene. Then the newest part is it shows Peter ripped up and battered, half of his Spidey suit on his face is torn off, and he's looking around the construction area, confused and beaten, and all of a sudden Venom's hands come down and grab Spidey and pull him up out of frame.

The actual .viv file will be saveable like all files are but it will be useless

A) The vivdas format is a very old format there are absolutely no programs out there to view it or convert

B) You can save the actual .viv file when NBC.com has it online but it will be useless

C) The only way that before the clip is taken offline we will be able to view this file is if somene has a powerful enough PC to capture the video stream or they connect their PC to their TV & record it to DVDR or something

Now, this thread is very long and I don't feel like reading it all, so I actually have no idea what is going on with the teaser or trailer or preview or whatever the hell is going on. But I have read that many people are spazzing out about capturing the trailer. I think that I could do this, but don't count on it. I'll give it a try though as long as I know what is going on :P But I'm sure everyone will be raving about it tomorrow, so after school it wont be that hard to find what all the commotion is about and give it a try.

Well if we look at what Sam did in the first 2. Spidey and the Green Goblin are almost born simutaneously. When Doc Ock is futhering development of the machine for the second time Pete is starting lose his ability to focus on being Spider-Man. So as a threat begins to increae our hero begins to disappear.

In this one I reckon we will have the Pete and MJ happy scenes contrasted with the Harry deciding to become the New Goblin.

It wouldn't surprise me if at the start we have Sandy's origin and his transformation, just to get it out of the way. Although the last 2 started with Pete in someway and so this is unlikely, but it would be extremely cool.

I've always been under the impression that it was very similar to a split personality; Peter Parker is your Everman, but when he dons the red and blues (black and whites, in some cases) he does indeed act very differently -- shooting off his mouth with no regard, with one-liners galore.

I don't know what's the big deal in wanting to see him, 80% of people won't be happy with his rendition or look.

If one is secure about the product that you will let the trailers with small snippets do their job (and the spidey team has made some really great trailers for its previous two films as well as its teaser trailer so it shouldn't have anything to worry about.)

True. My biggest worry about the movie Venom was that he was going to be scrawny-looking since Topher isn't a very big guy. Apparently a bigger stunt double or maybe a padded suit is being used for Venom so he doesn't look too small from what I've seen.

If it dissapoints it dissapoints, what difference does it make if you watch the 6 min. of footage or not. Also comparing this to the X3 hype campaign is rediculous. It begins with Eddie Brock in a cathedral praying for God to kill Peter Parker. Next is Spidey jumping off the building window and swinging around the city; enjoying his new black threads. There's a scene where he and Curt Connors examine a piece of the symbiote, Connors explains what it is. The piece keeps trying to jump at Peter, who puts a glass over it. Connors: "it seems to really like you for some reason." Harry Osbourne is once again visited by the ghost of his father (returning Willem DaFoe) telling him "You know what you have to do." This then leads to new footage of Harry as the New Goblin chasing Peter (not Spidey) through the city. He throws pumpkin-bombs at him that sprout wings and chase Peter. Peter: "I hate those things."

There's a series of quick clips with MJ telling Peter she's worried about him, Peter throwing a pumpkin bomb at Harry and it exploding in Harry's face, and numerous other action shots (although NO Gwen Stacy or Sandman to be seen). Then comes the climax as Spidey is in the clock tower pulling the symbiote off. Brock looks up and says "Parker?" As Peter pulls the symbiote off in pieces, some lands on Brock's jacket. He tosses it aside until more lands on his hand. Peter finally gets free as the symbiote (looking like a CG oil-spill) drenches Brock. The screen goes black. THEN--for a good one 1/2 seconds (good enough for the human eye to make out and identify, but not long enough to linger on--in place of Brock, VENOM snarls at the screen. We then get the title card of the silver "3" over Spidey's red colours as they turn black.

But before it's over, a battle-damaged Spidey (with torn mask and costume like in the climax of part 1) hears Venom grownling at him in the dark, but can't see him. Before he can think, two slimy black hands give a lightining-fast grab at his head and pull him upward. THE END. Our WonderCon host proved himself a Master of the Obvious when he asked "Wanna see it again?"

Is the footage shown tonight truly going to be the aerial fight between Harry and Peter or what is described above? Either way I am extremely excited!

Funny how you say that, but Ghost Rider of all superhero movies has made over 150 million. I think the superhero film age is going to be around for awhile longer my friend.

I think the 1min clip will start like the 10sec preview with Peter on his scooter.

It could be the whole fight scene (unless the fight is longer than 6mins) but I would prefer it wasnt cause seeing one of the fight scenes before the release of the movie isnt that good.

Why couldn't the entire 6 minutes be the battle scene? It happened with the train sequence in Spider-man 2, that whole battle is about 7 mins long. This movie is supposed to be bigger in terms of things, and this fight between Harry and Pete has been stirring every since the end of Spidey1.

It's safe to say that superherohype will have up some kind of way or at the least a link to a mirror download page. Also you know it will be on youtube the next day.
