From Dark Horizons:- (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news07/070324e.php)
Dark Horizons scooper 'Indiana' visited California Adventure Park today and met actor Matthew Modine at the Ariel's Grotto Restaurant.
Aside from questionable taste in cuisine, Modine apparently revealed the following which would indicate he has a role in the upcoming "The Incredible Hulk":
"He said he's in town doing a bit of work on a new film called "The Neighbour" - which he said is going to be very funny - and then he said he's doing something else with the "makers of the Transporter movie that I did". I pushed... and he went "[made funny growling noise] he's big and green".

He'd be Doc Sampson I'd imagine but he's not exactly built like Doc. Hmmmm. I can't see him being Ross.

Too old for Banner? Blonsky??? I think a young Doc Sampson might come off as strange in this film so I'm gonna have to say Doc.

I really hope he's not Banner. But I could live with it if I had too. Isn't he like 6'2"?

My bet...this Wed or Thur at the analyst conference we'll here something about Hulk casting. I've said this before but at the last conference they said they were close to casting news. So it's only logical. :)

That would make sense as it would be an event that could have a positive effect on the share price. If there is nothing said that would mean that nothing has been signed quite yet.

Who the heck could be excited about Matthew Modine being the HULK though LOL!! Even if that were true and he did a great job I think it would take seeing footage to excite anyone about said actor...
AD, this is a question you could possibly answer. How does the studio gage a feel for who is interested in pursuing such a role? Do they send out feelers to people they are interested in or is it they just call the individuals agents they think would be a good fit?

^ I'm sure the studios consider everything. Does the actor have any baggage or would the decision be type-casting? The salary, popularity, too famous, too much of a personality, acting ability, etc...I"m sure they look to see what the fans want as well. At the same time the director might already have strong ties to certain actors he/she wants and the studio knows that. Some actors might actually approach Marvel for the role too. :) Then the typical casting call.

AH, that makes sense... So the process is there IS no process. That's kind of cool, tonight or tomorrow I hope!!

I'm hoping tonight. If we don't hear tomorrow I'd be kind of surprised.
