I've pretty much said that I'm talking the responsibility for my posting the pic and info in the first place. But the fact that I had to sit in my boss's office today and explain myself... and the fact that I had to permanently delete my livejournal account really irks me. I'm not blaming, I'm just venting.
Worst. Day. Ever.

Wha? Permanently delete your livejournal? What kind of crap is that??
Well... when hundreds of people know the address to your private blog... including Warner Bros. Including your own boss... You've got nothing left but to delete it.

You can't really be surprised that they found out that it was you though, I mean Batman IS the world's greatest detective, after all, an apparently he's gets quite angry when people mess with his car. and I thought Superman had a reputation for being a dick (http://www.superdickery.com).
I was actually surprised. Maybe I'm gullible, but I did not foresee this thing going the way it did. I thought it would be like 3-4 people on my friend's list reading it... man. God I'm an IDIOT. All I had to do was make it a friend's only post.

It's okay, were it me (or probably anyone here) I wouldn't have just stuck it in my livejournal, I would have flaunted it EVERYWHERE. Plus you got instant respect from all the bat fans here, although that accounts for less than dirt, but oh well... Well there IS one positive that might help you through the day:
Dude... you got to see the freaking Batmobile! Up close and presonal, how friggin' cool is that? It wasn't just some wiener everyman-vehicle it was the B-A-T-M-O-B-I-L-E!!!!!
That work?
Yeah... it was damn cool.
I saw it twice actually. Once when they were driving it into the garage... the drive was sticking out of the "sunroof". It was all battle ready then. Had all it's vents and wings on. That picture showed it stripped. They took everything off of it to work on it and they were washing it when I took the pic.

Hey guys, not sure if this is new or anything, but I just moved back from Chicago, and accidently stumbled upon what I think is the main building for TDK prepping in Chicago.
I went to return my cable boxes and modem etc. and I saw a huge sign for Rory's First Kiss (RFK in big letters) casting. Further down in another building they had RFK employees signs saying to use loading bay 5&6.
The funny part was, this wasn't in a normal studio owned lot. They had bought out a huge space that is owned by a tool Mfg. Co (talk about secrecy).
After getting really excited, I tried to casually walk over to the loading docks and saw that 5&6 were closed, but 3&4 were open. I looked in and you could see the sections for TDK production. Everythign had newly built wood frames and the heavy duty plastic covering it so you couldn't see anything, but it looked like a pretty big space.
I wanted to go in farther and try and look around, but I was scared teh WB ninjas would get me.
I have a couple of pics on my phone of some of the signs, and have the address too. I'll hopefully get the pics up later, but I'm not sure about giving the address out.

Yeah, because I don't want Dima to get into anymore trouble I'm not gonna post any of the pics with addresses or building names. I'll look through them tonight and see if any of the pics don't contain either and then post them.
It's cool since it was confirmed by Dima we know that the batmobiles are in there anyway, so we know what's there.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
If you got photoshop... maybe you can blur out the names of the companies or any distinguishing landmarks...
But either way... there's nothing OUTSIDE of the place. Just trucks and containers... It's pretty ordinary looking. Moderately industrial area. You can bet your @ss that they won't have the car out again... unless they're transporting it somewhere... They got slammed by their own people up top because of this... They've learned their lesson, unfortunately.

Other thing you have to remember is that people other than Batman fans were very apprehensive about Batman Begins. The last Batman movie they saw had a Batman with nipples, gigantic cod pieces and over acting an horrible plot. People that didn't keep up with Batman Begins being made felt this was just going to be another sequal to the last movie an waited to see the movie on DVD hence the box office sales and the high dvd sales. The people I'm refering to are the one out of this group that did go to the theater and were all confused when the Wayne's were killed and it wasn't the Joker that did it. :)
I think now that BB has proven itself you will se a huge box office differince.

Me too! I hate when people are all like "I hope this movie flops!" and stuff like that. Because 1. If a movie about some generally unknown hero is successful than the studio will start to be more ambitious and try out things they never would have before like Ant-Man and JLA. and 2. I think that every comic book movie is connected, and that if even the bad ones start to bomb, than it shows that the public is starting to reject superhero movies and soon they'll ALL do terribly and this era of film domination will come to a close.
Now that's not to say I don't hope the good ones do BETTER though. $900 billion domestic box office for The Dark Knight, please?

All kidding aside, unless WB marketing is REALLY bad (it's significantly improved the past 6 months), TDK has a very good chance of at least $500M total (domestic and international), well up from the $380M from BB. Hell, if it really impresses, it could go up to $600M
I heard them calling extras today. I guess filming is imminent.

My problem with Hulk was it's messy fusion of psychological storytelling and cartoony action.
It had such a dark and though-provoking edge, which was abruptly lost once Josh Lucas is blown literally off the screen.

While I see where you're going at, the public consesus has been mix on Hulk. And that's almost a fact.
I mean, Marvel's 'remaking it' (or whatever they're doing with the new movie), so in some ways, "Hulk" lost some crediblity there.
Did I like "Hulk". Not really but I do admire what Ang Lee was trying to do. Is a re-ramp needed? No. Marvel should of continued with Lee, and anything that was flawed in the first movie could of been improved upon.

Just a tiny bit of news really , our local paper the Times and Citizen had an article about Hanger number one being converted for a film studio in Cardington as part of a new housing development behind the huge hangers.( just think you can live in the Narrows! , well near them ).
The article also mentioned the Warners Brothers are ''believed to currently be preparing Hanger number two for the sequel for Batman Begins ''
The other week the ''T.I.G'' sign was still up and some SWAT vans from Begins were parked outside , so I'll have to take a wander and see if anything is going on .

Special thanks to Bats9099 over at the BOF forums, who saw a film crew.
Hello all. Lifetime Batman fan here. I think I may have found one of the Chicago locations the film makers are going to use in "The Dark Knight." I'm not entirely sure it's them, but considering the crew was just here scouting locations, it could be them.
Anyway, I was near the old post office and noticed a crew outside building something. The post office has been abandoned for years now and they normally have it all closed up with barriers all around. Last week, all the blockades have been removed, the widows have all been washed and the doors are opened. Judging by the crew outside, it's not the city doing the repairs. They have a state-of-the-art facility next door and hardly use the old place. Anyway, judging by the pictures I took, it looks like a movie set. Could it be for The Dark Knight? I hope so.

02 April 2007
Tinseltown could move in again at Shortstown with the hatching of plans to convert the rotting Number One airship shed into a film studio.
The neighbouring Number Two Shed has already been leased by Warner Bros, who built the Gotham City set for Batman Begins within its massive walls and late last year were in there again to film scenes for upcoming movie Fred Claus.
Now Frontier Estates has lodged an application to change the use of Number One Shed to film-making as well.
But development director Mike Mansell stressed the 250-metre long structure might have to be put to a mundane use if the studio idea did not come off.
He said: "What we have always tried to do is make sure the shed could have some use that will earn its keep. We hope it will be something interesting and exciting, but the bottom line is that if no-one wants to use it for something like that, it will have to be for boring old storage or some other light use appropriate to that location.
"We hope that Warner Bros will continue to use the other shed and they have asked all the right questions in terms of when our shed will be available, but we have nothing formally agreed with them.
"Filming would seem like a suitable use for a historic building, but it could yet be used to store cardboard boxes."
Frontier has said it is prepared to refurbish the dilapidated Number One Shed – erected in 1916/17 – at a cost of around £6 million.
But to do that it says it needs permission to build a mix of up to 425 terraced, semi- and detached homes at the back of the sheds, with a legal agreement linking the two projects together.
The residential scheme – which has also been submitted for planning permission – has replaced an unpopular commercial proposal, under which Frontier was pressing to build a warehouse on the land.
Mr Mansell said he was hoping to get the green light for the housing from the borough council in May, allowing refurbishment work to start next year.
He said: "A lot of people suspect that we are trying to get a use for it that they won't like, but nothing could be farther from the truth. We hope it will be exciting and interesting."
Mayor of Bedford, Frank Branston, said he was pleased by the possibility of Shed Number One following its neighbour to Hollywood.
He said: "Two or three years ago I was trying to urge Warner Bros to look at permanent studios, but didn't get much information or joy out of them. The fact that they are continuing to film in Shed Two is a good sign."
Warner Bros is believed to currently be preparing Shed Number Two for the sequel to Batman Begins.

My mom works at city hall and is giving me all the shooting times and locations when the list is finalized, anyone is welcomed to join me - My ultimate goal is to become an extra, though, so be prepared to get aggressive. It works. As my Batman Begins and several ER cameos will attest. Most of the filming is going to take place around 300 N. Dearborn (according to my mom) and Wacker drive. Also some spots around Harold Washington Library (600 South State area). Mostly Sunday nights/early mornings if the last movie is any indication.

People on this forum have a tendency to blatanty violate copyright laws. If you have suffered any pecuniary damage b/c of this, I suggest you file a claim.
And some people in this forum have a tendency to blatantly throw around unsolicited legal advice. Dima should sue you for your libelous implication that he's an idiot. You think he needs you to tell him that if he suffered monetary damages from someone that he might have the right to file a suit?
They had long since smoothed things over, then here you come offering sage legal advice and trying to stir stuff up. It's apparent from his subsequent posts that Dima still has his job so how could you think he'd have a basis for a suit? You think WB fined him? Get real. And get a life.

I guess she's got a liability suit then!:whatever: And he had the audacity to call ME 'genius' in such an acrimonious manner! He should have been banned for his mere insinuation that I've ever even watched one episode of Law and Order! Indeed!:oldrazz:
I seriously doubt he's a lawyer...maybe a failed law student. I mean it looks like it took him nearly an hour to edit his reply to me. That would be just enough time to look through some legal textbooks, pull out a few legitimate legal terms, make sure he was spelling 'indictment' correctly, etc. I don't think a real successful working atty would have much time to hang around an internet forum.

So, are you going to be a history teacher, or do you teach students about the future? I think that second option sounds cool.

Well I'm gonna be a history teacher but I feel that kids need to understand history in order to be better prepared for the future. Thats not always the case though, take Hitler for instance, intelligent, knew history and loved Napoleon but didn't learn from Napoleon's biggest mistake, you never invade Russia in the winter......but yeah you have to prepare kids for the future and maybe even teach what COULD be coming, no way to tell really.

What's the Dark Knight Doing at a Post Office?
Source: NJS April 16, 2007
Scooper 'NJS' told Superhero Hype! more about the scene for The Dark Knight that is being filmed at a Chicago post office:
A very good friend of mine is a stuntman working on the new Batman film currently on location in Chicago. He is playing the role of one of Joker's clown goons who robs the "Gotham National Bank" set-up inside the old post office. The clown escapes by crashing through a nearby high rise 20th-floor gliding across the city on a cable to the 9th floor of Chicago's Union Train Station ...I hear this scene is being shot tonight Monday April 16th.
The Dark Knight opens in theaters on July 18, 2008

They called me about being an extra ... but I don't want to do it. And I don't know how to dress in the syle of BEGINS ?!?! I'll just wear normal clothes. I'm not dressing up in alot of clothes, and be uncomfortable. Being an extra is the pits.
I'll just be there with my friend from last time, filming, and taking pics. Hopefully I get to meet Bale again for the 3rd time if he is there. I don't really want to meet Ledger, cause he seems like a prissy actor *****. I'm sure he's one of the biggest ***** around. I rather get some pics of him as the Joker, however.
