OH! And who's heading to the "Candy Factory Kaboom" on Wednesday? :ninja:

As far as we know, time hasn't been revealed for detonation so whoever goes out there has to be able to go early and stay there for the long haul.

Any Unemployed Volunteers? :woot:

Well, I am not unemployed...but I may be able to miss a day...I have this bad cough coming on :cwink:

AMH in chicago...very nice!

Sorry everyone. I'm the one who started the "Candy Kaboom is this Wednesday" Goof.
The Factory will actually be blown up NEXT Wednesday, August 29th.

However, what's the shooting rumors for THIS Wednesday, August 22nd?
I'm guessing/hoping there'll be some Anthony Michael Hall sightings this week.

http://batman-dark-knight.moviechronicles.com/2007-08/report-from-tdks-august-19th-shoot/

This has just come in from Brett,
It was around 8:50 am Sunday 8/19 on the corner of west Monroe street and south Canal street. Block away from Union Station. Looked to be round 30 extras. Never did see any lead characters. The security exclaimed “pictures up,” and the extras began to walk around as random people on the street. I think they were filming inside the building or just on the corner. Not sure what building it is. Anyway, the people were just walking around then I heard two gunshots and extras began to run everywhere. What’s more is I did hear a loud sinister laugh, which was without a doubt in my mind, the Joker ala Heath Ledger.
And these are the pictures:

http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/thumb/tn-IMG_2232.jpg (http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/IMG_2232.jpg) http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/thumb/tn-IMG_2236.jpg (http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/IMG_2236.jpg) http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/thumb/tn-IMG_2237.jpg (http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/IMG_2237.jpg) http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/thumb/tn-IMG_2238.jpg (http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/IMG_2238.jpg) http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/thumb/tn-IMG_2240.jpg (http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/IMG_2240.jpg) http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/thumb/tn-IMG_2241.jpg (http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/IMG_2241.jpg) http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/thumb/tn-IMG_2242.jpg (http://host.trivialbeing.org/galleries/tdk-aug19-shoot/IMG_2242.jpg)

Rory (http://www.flickr.com/photos/11673231@N06/sets/72157601553896017/) was also on the scene to capture some GCN images in the pouring rain.
Alright, so I went back down to the set in the pouring rain and got some pics. Due to the rain they stopped shooting so all of the extras were sitting around the lobby of the building… which is now the GCN, which I am guessing is “Gotham City News” or “Gotham Cable News” (though I favor the first). I was able to walk right up the building and started taking photos. There were a lot of PA’s and Extras around but they didn’t seem to mind me too much. I got some courage and walked right into the lobby. Inside it was dressed as a TV station with GCN and tv screens all over the place. I didn’t stay too long and didn’t snap any pics for fear of being caught. It was cool to see though. Also saw the official set photographer who looked a bit bummed…maybe because of the pic leak.

Sunday

I am a citizen of Gothem City

Hellz yeah. I was an extra in the new Batman movie today. It's fake name is "Rory's First Kiss" which, while filming in Chicago, everyone clearly knows is "The Dark Knight" for real. ANYway, I signed a confidentiality agreement so I can't tell you anything about the scene that we were filming plot wise, but I can tell you that I met Anthony Michael Hall...well more like he talked to me and two other women for like a minute. Totally cool because I have been watching "The Dead Zone" with my mom since is started and there he was 3 feet away from me looking right at us and talking to us. Of course, it seems I lose all powers of proper speech when this happens so I just nodded and smiled instead of engadging in the conversation. But nonetheless! it happened, and it was totally cool.

I was also 5 feet away from Gary Oldman several times during the day and it was just cool to see him up close. What seemed to be his two sons where running around the set beating eachother with empty water bottles. Shmamazing. And, above all, there is a decent chance my stupid face may make it to the big screen (insert scream here). Sortof. In some small capacity...perhaps. But regardless, I was there and I had so much fun!! I am officially a citizen of Gothem City and in about a year, you'll find out where I was! (maybe, if you can't see me, I'll be sure to tell you what scene it was and you can know that somewhere in the crowd...is me...with frizzy hair because it was raining....ugh the rain). It was SO much fun and I made a nice little chunk of cheese for it to, teehee. :-D

Bow down to the awesomeness that is my day today. And, fingers crossed, they will let me do it again before they leave. It would be nice to round out the star sightings with a Christian Bale, or an Aaron Ekhart, or a Morgan Freeman,...or (gasp!) at Heath Ledger! But another big crowd scene would be just as pleasing without them if they feel so inclinded to call me.

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ogID=301264714

absolutely 100% sure. this was saturday morning, the 18th, at around 11:00 or so. we left union station and walked towards the building where my friend works, and he said we should drop by the lot of trailers. there was a trailer on the street, inside there was Gotham City police uniforms, and in the lot there was rows and rows of trailers. some of them were facing the sidewalk and had stars with names written in them, but I didn't recoginize any names. just about right as I passed by a trailer, I saw someone step out, and walked about another 10 feet before looking back and recognizing him as Anthony Michael Hall. dead on it was him, and my friend confirmed. I got a look, and he was wearing a purple business suit... though not a dark purple... it was a lavender-ish kind of color, with either black or dark purple pinstripes on it. I dunno if it was a full on costume or what, because two ladies were by him, and he was making movements like he was trying it on. one was adjusting the sleeve, the other was looking at and adjusting the lapel. we walked up the street and down a bit to underneath the El and saw signs for shooting from 3am that night to 8pm on the 19th (today). I was just in town visiting my friend, so I don't know the streets well enough to know where we were at, but we walked by again later and didn't see anything except inside the trailer again, and got a better look at the gotham city cop uniforms.

Here's that original stuff AMH said that got everyone guessing who he plays:

Dead Zone" star Anthony Michael Hall reports the plot of the latest Batman saga, "The Dark Knight," is so secret he's forbidden to even say what character he's portraying. "I signed a confidentiality agreement, and I can't say which part I'm playing because it affects the story," says Hall. "I can't give away the suspense — it's a $200 million surprise, and I don't want to be the guy to ruin it."

He adds, "I'm excited about it — Christian Bale back as Batman. Heath Ledger is joining the cast as the Joker. Of course, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine return, and they're great."

Hall, who's in the midst of shooting the sixth season of "The Dead Zone," which returns to the USA Network June 17, says his TV series cast and crew bent over backward for him to be in London for the first day of "Dark Knight" production the weekend before last.

"My crew agreed to take a three-day weekend so I could fly Friday to go to London," says the actor, who's also one of the series' producers. "It was just a thrill. I felt like a rock star leaving the set, flying to London, going to shoot on a Saturday, you know?" He adds, "My crew really gave me a gift because they had to all vote union-wise to agree to not take a day's pay to help me out. I felt very honored that they did that for me."

He says he's not scheduled to rejoin "The Dark Knight" shooting till August, after "The Dead Zone" is wrapped. "They're shooting in London, Chicago and Hong Kong. My next dates are in Chicago, the third week of August with Morgan, then I get to go back to London." He adds he's never been a comic-book fan, but "I loved the 'Batman' series, so Batman has truly always meant something to me. It's really been one of my dreams as an actor to become Batman."

For now, he's just happy flying in the same airspace. "It's really a great role. I'm in throughout the whole movie, and I'm really looking forward to working with Christian and Morgan and all these real Hollywood heavy hitters."

I don't have a good guess as to who he plays ... I'm just throwing it out there again to see if this helps in figuring out when and where he might show up for shooting here in Chicago.

Didn't it say somewhere that Nolan is behind schedule? Maybe this is the week (4th week in August, not 3rd) that AMH will do a bulk of his shooting, to help them get back on schedule.

Who knows.

On the set with Batman in Chicago

By Ruben V. Nepales
Inquirer
Last updated 03:58am (Mla time) 08/19/2007

CHICAGO—We knew we had entered the set of the new Batman movie when an area of this beautiful city was suddenly littered with rifle-carrying National Guard troops. These were extras dressed in fatigues, of course.

When we got off a shuttle and entered the IBM building, a Chicago architectural landmark by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, our exclusive, day-long visit to the set of “The Dark Knight” began. On our way up the fourth floor, we saw Batman himself, Christian Bale, dressed in a suit and waiting at the lobby for filming to start.

But what caught our eye first in was Batman’s newest toy, a gray and silver motorcycle equipped with cannons, machine guns and hooks known as the Batpod.

Creating Batpod

Production designer Nathan Crowley, who made the Batmobile for “Batman Begins,” created a mock-up of this mean-looking bike from materials bought at Home Depot (the home improvement store) with director Chris Nolan in the latter’s home garage. It fell on Chris Corbould to actually make the Batpod.

The first scene that was filmed took place in the lobby. Aaron Eckhart, who joins the cast as District Attorney (DA) Harvey Dent, addressed a press conference attended by agitated journalists and hostile onlookers. He assured the public that everything was being done to stop the killings by the Joker (Heath Ledger) and that Batman, for some reason, was ready to turn himself in. We watched Aaron placate this angry crowd again and again, take after take. It is a tribute to Aaron’s skills as an actor that he was compelling to watch each time.

Standing on the side with extras playing onlookers was Bale as Bruce Wayne. When Aaron stepped off the podium, he put out his hands to show that he was ready to be handcuffed and made a dramatic statement, “I am Batman.” Gasps from the crowd greeted this startling announcement. In the story, Aaron’s DA character later becomes Two Face, one of Batman’s nemeses.

Crowd reactions

Then it was time to shoot the reactions of the crowd, including that of Christian. With Aaron still saying his lines but this time in the background, the camera panned the throng of extras playing the media and then slowly zoomed in on Christian’s face. Trying to be un-ubiquitous as Bruce Wayne in this crowd, Christian’s acting was all in his eyes, his strongest asset as a thespian. There’s soul in those eyes.

After finishing their scenes, Christian and Aaron also went up to our room for interviews.

Then we headed down to watch a spectacular scene—two National Guard helicopters carrying troops flew so low and close together over the Chicago River.

It was a Sunday family affair for the Nolans or a movie family’s version of it— Emma, who is married to Chris, and their kids watched the choppers scene as he gave directions.

We’ll write more extensively about our set visit in a future column.

Hmmm ... maybe he slipped right there and is in fact saying that.

But we also know that he didn't get to Chicago until recently and the "Faux Batmen in Garage" scenes were filmed way back. Something tells me AMH's roll is multi-layered.

A picture of him on set would help, of course. :cwink:

It was a Sunday family affair for the Nolans or a movie family’s version of it— Emma, who is married to Chris, and their kids watched the choppers scene as he gave directions.

We’ll write more extensively about our set visit in a future column.

Nice find!....

Hmmm ... maybe he slipped right there and is in fact saying that.

But we also know that he didn't get to Chicago until recently and the "Faux Batmen in Garage" scenes were filmed way back. Something tells me AMH's roll is multi-layered.

A picture of him on set would help, of course. :cwink:

Me thinks this will be a big shocker, Nolan-style.

Now, just need to get a pic of him....

I'm not saying I like it at all, I'm not supporting it, but I have this sneaking suspicion that a lot of the AMH hints point to JP Valley (as people have mentioned before). Maybe not in the same capacity as he was in the comics, maybe without the Azrael bit, but when I think of a character who might have a hankering for Research and Development, who might want to pretend to be Batman altogether and who might be considered good or bad depending on the source quoting (as those have been four hinted directions for his role), the target centers on Jean Paul.

Please someone disprove me. Please, I really don't see how they could use him effectively in the story.

8/24-26. Maybe more they said if I am available now that they have a police uniform in my size on set. The form I originally filled out had me committed to the 8/29-30 shoot too. But the description I was given for those days was not a candy factory going kaboom...

A very good question... is it? I intend on going and hanging around the area to catch the action but I don't want to be mugged, shot, stabbed or beaten in the process. Might be good if we get a small group going or something.

I just asked someone in my office (since I'm not originally from Chicago) and she said that it is a bad neighborhood ... so everybody be careful.

Also, she mentioned that the heir to the Brach Candy Fortune (Helen Brach) disappeared back in the 70's or something and they just recently discovered that she was, in fact, murdered.

Has anybody looked at this quote and grown suspicious? Could he have been hinting that he was playing the main vigilante?I wondered that too when I read that quote...his filming dates in Chicago DO match the dates of the faux Batmans.

Or maybe he works for Wayne - he mentions filming with Freeman and Bale.

Never underestimate the power that the "illusion of Hollywood" can create. Just be smart and don't dress to call attention to yourself and stay on main streets.

There's also the reverse. It could create an opportunity for muggers etc to feast on naive, out of towner Bat fans. Besides, there's no telling how close to the crew (and by association, police and security) anyone could even get. There's also the question of actually getting in.

This sounds like it's gonna be an awesome, dramatic moment!

Not many people know this, but no one really gangbangs in Chicago anymore. You can wear whatever color you like, people won't care. The two largest gangs in the city are the Gangster Disciples or GD's and the Blackstones, they wear blue and red respectively, but bloodshed from gang violence over there years has almost ceased to be. Someone might rob you still, but you shouldn't woory about gangs.

I'm suprised many people haven't been going there daily. If I lived out that way, I would.

I got to thinking, what the hell are we gonna do when production here is over???? I wish I still lived out in HK, I know the area they are going to film in and would stalk it out daily. Also I am a foreigner too so I would stand out in the crowd of Chinese citizens there.
Plus all the partying I'm sure the actors would do, I always went to the same night club Orlando Bloom went to when he was there promoting Pirates.

Not sure you'd to see much unless you scaled the walls of the hotel to the helipad they're filming at. Think they're there for 2 weeks, not sure what else is being filmed

Well, hopefully they have more location shooting in the UK so we can hope that there are some Brit fans that will take some pics and do some hunting. Though I bet lots and lots of money that most of their UK shooting will be confined to soundstages. So we're screwed. :csad:

Near Farringdon underground station in the City. They used the same location in Begins for the small "I'm not a criminal" scene and the GCPD interiors. It's some kind of scene with Gordon

5:37 PM TEXAS TIME: New from “A.P.”: A boat scene on the “Wayne Yacht” is on the agenda this week. Also, a big parade, car chase, rappelling from a building, parachute jump (not in Chicago), the “Wayne Helicopter,” and Dobermans.

Question: Is there ANY chance that they would break trend and film on a Tuesday night if:
(A) The production is rumored to be "behind schedule" and
(B) The weekend might have been too stormy for Nolan to get his shots and
(C) It's not raining currently for the first time in days

Or are production schedules pretty tight and they take anything not done at a certain time to the end of the shooting schedule?

Just curious.

It depends if they have a second crew working. I know that there are union rules so I don't know if the two days off is required. I would imagine though that it certainly is possible that they changed filming around due to weather and time delays. It seems like they would want to keep this epic beast tightly on track.

This makes sense with the Doberman post. When I was watching filming on the roof in June at the parking garage at Randolph and Wells, there were Doberman dogs on set.

I understand what you mean. I feel like some may feel compelled to stay low key for a while since the leak was pretty big in the sense that even though it didn't reveal "huge" spoilers it did reveal stuff that would have been better left unseen until a time much closer to the film's release. But since it happened this early some folks may be afraid that they've seen too much too soon, there's still basically a year more or less and its not that they've seen too many spoilers, is more that they've seen too much stuff in in a very short amount of time. Some may be afraid that by the time the film comes out they will be too spoiled for their own good.

No Prob. Word is that nothing went down last night anyway.

And as for IBM filming ... all I can say is that from my fantage point at my work building (which has a birds-eye view of the river, Wabash Bridge, Trump Tower) there is a steady flow of traffic running on Wabash (the street running past IBM Building).

And before, that street was pretty much closed down both ways, so maybe no filming anymore. Also, I can see Wabash as it continues north (over Hubbard) and again, steady traffic and no parked trailers to signify any filming.

That doesn't mean squat ultimately but those are the clues that tell me "No" for IBM Filming.

Take down the link or you are going to get banned. We're not allowed those particular pics on this board. Check out the announcement at the top of this forum.

Suck about nothing last night. I can't wait for next Wednesday though :D

TDKLeaker, stop posting news that originated from here. Why do you persist in pimping HC when 5 of your aliases have already been banned? If you have a decent story like the AMH thing other people will post it

Walked to 330 N. Wabash yesterday, and the only sign of filming I saw there was a crane / lift vehicle parked doing nothing. No other trucks of any kind were there at all. I'd say they're done there unless they moved the trucks somewhere else on their days off.

I also noticed that they set up lights on Upper Wacker shining down onto the ramps going to / coming from Lower Wacker. This could be for the Jolie movie though.

Okay folks, I'll be heading out in about 45 mins to do some snooping around for locations.

They are done at 330 N. Wabash. I walked vy thee earlier and there are no support trucks and all the cables have been pulled up off the street. Also the four flag poles that they had installed on the South side of the building are now gone (one were the fake batman was hanging). It looks as if there is a fund raising show goning on in the courtyard of the building. Sponsors like RNC, Comcast Merccedes and some Vodka Company setting up booths.

i'm honestly not trying to pimp anything. i just try to share new information. i can't always know when someone else already found it. as for that site, i don't think he ever takes information from here. he publishes info that was specifically submitted to him. sometimes maybe it was here first, but i've been watching him and he doesn't steal.

He posted my pics of the Batman dummy hanging on the side of the building and I never submitted those to him.

I think everyone is very chilled out. I can tell you right now I did not submit my pics of the Batman dummy to him but they appeared there anyway. Either someone did or he found them by searching (this is the internet after all) but it wasn't me. The end.

when i was walking to work today i noticed there were a bunch of generators and lights set up at the entrance to lower wacker in between madison and monroe.

anyone know if those are related to tdk?

Yes - those lights are for Wanted. I have confirmation that Wanted will be filming on lower Wacker this week. Seeing Batman is very cool, but there sure is something to be said for checking out Angelina Jolie!

I headed down to Franklin and Randolph and as someone else said, there are a few lights down there, but not large ones. I went up to the top of parking garage B to see if I could see anything in the garage they usually film in but there was nothing there, only cars. The building right beside it though (I believe a Chitpolte is there?) had two lights on top of it. Also I noticed there aren't as many trailers in the lot as there were before, no crew around, just one security chick who when I asked her about filming pretty much ignored me.

Not much, but its a little something :yay:

It'd be awesome if they secretly casted Angelina Jolie as Selina Kyle and she was able to work out a cameo (for the supposed ending) since she's in town.

Not happening, she's the Fox in "Wanted", plus by the time they shoot Pt 3 she'll be too old for the part, she'll be "the Cougar".

I love her and I think she's the most gorgeous actress on the planet , but unfortunately the camera and Hollywood seem to be gentler with men than they are with women, as they age. Anyway, the Fox is coming and I can't wait for that, let's just hope they don't water it down too much.

So nobody out today spotted any TDK filming huh?

I was kinda hoping something might be going down at night...but if wanted is fiming at night I doubt TDK will.

Maybe they are doing something in or near a neighaborhood? Anyone check the lakefront to see if the yact is around or equimpent tucks nearby?

Someone call the casting company and ask them for directions to todays shoot..lol

Of course she could. But does she want to? This is a much different OT conversation, but keep in mind that Angelina is currently filming an action/thriller type thing and has not gained weight for that or any other role recently (Good Shepperd comes to mind). In fact she continues to look skinnier and skinnier. If when the time comes Nolan & Co can get her to agree to bulking up then sure she could make a decent Catwoman. But till that happens, I have to agree that in her current state she is no superhero or villain.

Crook
08-22-2007, 04:50 PM
I agree, I was merely questioning the mentality of completely writing her off due to her current physical state.

It's unlikely she'll make an appearance for this film anyway. She's said she's aware of her weight, and it's due to personal stress, so hopefully that'll fix itself in the following months.

I can see it from my office window it was the corner of madison and canal and there is nothing going on there if they did film and it was during the day it would have to be a weekend as the area it's in s a very busy office building

She's actually a year younger than Bale. She's 32. He's 33. Batman 3 will come out in 2011, which means they'll be filming in 2010. She'll only be 35 then. Halle Berry did Sword Fish and she was a Bond girl when she was older than 35 and she looked hot in those movies.

No you didn't, the link isn't even a valid url HAHA. This reminds me of an Adam Sandler sketch with Rob Schneider:

RS:"Dude, that weed has me sooo buzzed",
AS:"That was the weed i sold you, right? Those were pencil shavings, that wasn't weed you smoked.",
RS:"Uhh, then it's totally the beer, man, i'm so wasted!",
AS:"Yeah, that was the beer i gave you, huh?, Yeah, that was non-alcoholic beer, so once again, i have to bust you on that. You're lying.",
RS:"...You guys are d**ks. (starts crying)"

082207: NOTHING! in the loop anyway.

The entrances to lower wacker on upper wacker (on washington/wacker) do have lights, but they're small and cheap looking... like it's for a cheap movie like Wanted. :) The GPD department is still there, but all the white trucks are gone except for one and a lonely yellow sitting in a chair. Where else could they be filming? If on the lake, how far cuz I don't wanna walk there for nothing since it's freakin hot outside.

The trailer park is quiet and the fridge trailer is gone...

Okay, here is the scoop...well sort of:

First, it is Wanted that is filming this evening around the parking garage on Randolph. If you want to see Angelina Jolie, I suggest you head down there this evening. Also, a lot of the trailers in the lot for TDK are gone. And I have no idea where they went. As I walked by the lot today I also noticed something interesting. There were a few cars that had "producer" permits on them that said valid through Oct 1. Could filming in Chi-town have been extended because of the rumored falling behind schedule?

Also, seems as if they were filming on the lake today (the Wayne Yacht stuff). The black camera copter flew overhead today around 2:30pm and headed out along the lake for a bit. It made several passes going back to the old PO area and then back out to the lake several times.

That's it for me folks....

Thanks Sasquaths for the back up man  I emailed that guy a few time now, probably the same guy posting the stuff here. Anyway, he claims someone else sends hime the pics and he just puts his copyright stamp on them and re-posts them. Someone is turing them in and it is probably someone here (not to mention any names but I think you know already...day late and a dollar short). I know they are my pics and so does everyone here so thats all I care about, you guys seeing Bale and Nolan was all I wanted anyway, so oh well.

L.A. everytime I go to that damn ChicagoNews sight my internet gets stuck and when I close that page it closes every page I have up as well and boots me off.

I SUGGEST NO ONE GOES TO CHICAGO NEWS ANYMORE, he is rehashing our good scoops and giving other people credit for them TDKLeaker needs to stop telling us to go there when if he reads this message board he will get the same news and pics and WAAAY more insight into things. If you want to provide something new TDKLeaker, then you need to grab a camera and get to Chicago somehow...thats about the only way. You have been banned like 5 times apparently and you are messing up peoples computers over old rehased news that we made. Please stop! You don't have to contribute to be cool....you just won't be as helpful. Be like the rest who are far away from Chi-Town and let us do all the work. Cool?

FROM NOW I ON guys, I suggest you stamp all of your pictures so people really know where the came from......if you care about that stuff.
