I can't see the gold logo myself. This suit screams The DARK KNIGHT.

Jett and I have discussed the picture. I don't think it's gold.

Black, same colour as the suit, like BB. It does now look like the promotional symbol though.

I'd say the cowl was sleeker actually Jett and not as clunky. More like a streamlined BB cowl without the angst and the bulky neck.

I was never sold on the BB suit, but this is just beautiful. This is mark 2 of the BB suit. I LOVE IT!!!

Jett, have you noticed he's stood on top of a police car.

There are elements which will remind people of the Green Goblin suit from Spider-man 1 (only it looks good)

The rubber haters will be happy, the rubber lovers will be happy and the fabric guys will be too as it mixes all of these elements.

(Referring to the cape)Still draped over his back unfortunately, but the cape clasps appear gone, or at least smaller and better intergrated into the rest of the suit.

No puffiness in this one, anywhere!


The cape shown in the pics is not as long as the BB cape and looks to have scallops. Looks like the same material though, although I could be wrong it's hard to tell.

Ok, here's my description.

Cowl - Similar to the BB cowl, but less of a frown this time around and much, much sleeker. At a guess I'd say this part is still foam latex. The neck is much slimmer and lis now separate from the head.

Cape - Looks like it's made from the same material, but it's much shorter in this pic and it does look to have scallops. I think the clasps are still there, but it's hard to tell. If they are, they are much smaller and better intergrated into the body armour, rather than looking out of place like they did on the BB suit.

Body armour - In this pic it looks grey, but then so did the BB suit in certain light. This armour is basically made up of lot's of plates, like the Green Goblin suit and is a mixture of rubber and fibreglass. These are all mounted to an undersuit which looks like chainmail. Very cool.

The symbol is exactly like the promo symbol but in 3-d and is much smaller than the BB symbol.

The belt - The same

The boots - The same

The gloves - Look like motorcycle gloves with the padded, hard knuckles.

The forearm section is completely different from the BB Gauntlet and is very much part of the body armour. The Guantlet, looks to have SIX scallops on it, which I would suggest fold together into a firing batarang.

That's all I got.

Overall I love it. It's very utilitarian and looks like they wanted to represent batman as a true Dark 'Knight'.

Having just re-read that part of the description, it seems that in the full pic, you can see that he's standing on a police car.

i was a little worried when i heard about the "chain-mail" element when i first heard about it. i'm glad the cape is essentially the same from Begins (why fix something that isn't broken?) but i dont think i'd like a goldish bat-symbol (let's save that for Barbara, shall we?). the wrist blades as weapons would be interesting to see too.

oh and i'm glad they figured out that "problem with the graphite" :woot:

The symbol is at an angle, and is outlined on the left side of the pic. The line on the right shows the separation of his arm, with the bicep facing down. The arrow illustrates the downward angle of his shoulders, so that only the one closest to the camera is visible. The pic is obviously at an angle that is below and to the right of his stance. Hope this helps.

maybe you should crank up your monitor's brightness controls ;)

the major part of the picture is the chest area taken from the side, so you see only part of the batsymbol which is now in 3D (think SR chest symbol), on the narrow right side would be part of the shoulder (where the joint is), and the narrow upper part would be Batman's chin. msotof the left side is just space (dark background).

Long time reader first time poster.

I'm 4 hours away from Chicago. I just enrolled as a grad student at BGSU and I'd be lying if I didn't say one of my reasons for going here was that I was w/in range of Chicago. So here's my question:

When do I visit Chicago? I can miss work two days a week, so maybe go some thurs-sun or fri-mon trip, but when do I go? I don't wanna make the trip unless I know I see something. I'm thinking I'm gonna wait till I hear something about the Batmobile showing up.

THOSE OF YOU IN CHICAGO, PLEASE HELP! Help a fellow Batman fan out, let me know when you think I should go!!

Just got back from the parking lot/rooftop set. No filming but someone was rehearsing on the level below. There were 3 pitbulls and the guy was dressed in all black almost like a SWAT guy with heavy padding. The dogs attacked but that was about it. No trailers or anything. On my way back home, I came across the area where all the equipment is being kept(Franklin and Randolph). There were a couple of floodlights, stands, a lot of cable and one security guard that wasn't being very cooperative. Some time soon they should be filming like everyone has been speculating.

Batman stole my parking spot.
They were shooting the next Batman movie next to my office. You can't see it but that license plate actually says "Gotham" where it should say "Illinois." I couldn't get closer because there was police tape blocking access to the Batman cars. The taxi also says Gotham Taxi on it. Gotham's taxi fares are more expensive than Chicago's.

I think they may be filming at 111 Wacker pretty soon, after they weren't filming last night it became pretty clear that this weekend will be when they're filming. Tons of trailers, the set's pretty much complete, all the lights are up. It's ready to go.

I just got back from taking a walk around Chicago to the sets. I went over to the rooftop/garage set and saw them unloading a trailer. I spoke to one of the guys and asked him:

Me: "When do you start filiming?"
Him: "Wednesday"
Me: "Here?"
Him: "Ya, in the garage"

Not sure if he was telling the truth, but I'm pretty sure they'll be shooting the penthouse tonight. When I went by there, I asked one of the union guys if they were filming tonight, and he said yes. They had the set looking as though a cocktail party was about to happen.

Ok, me and my friend are going there tonight. We will be runing around from sunset to sunrise trying to see whatever we can. We will visit the GPD rooftop set, the Penthouse, and Gordons place. Then, they reset the shot and Oldman was there, comforting the crying woman.
He tried to get pics but his pics sucked he said, due to the fact that the PAs were in his apartment and had eagle eyes.
Pretty cool.

I'm all for shooting holes in suspicious reports, which I was why I was wary of posting this in the first place, but I like my shots and the shots of others to at least take into consideration things like our limited to access to production and the idea that we MAY not have the inside track on every shot or plot point.

Thats true, but at this point we don't know for sure. Nolan has so far incoporated many aspects from stories from the Batman lore and not focused on just one story.

Nice one. Looks nice and roomy compared with the last roof, which I think was the wall to the left in the first picture. Or that could have been the cape flapping in the wind scene, I get confused. The surroundings match up well with the trainline below.

Breakaway wall/SWAT and dogs stuff/suspension wires/purple truck are completely puzzling. Best guess is a police chasing Batman scene

Just came from the Wacker location. There were quite a few extra extras waiting outside. The green screens cover everything so you can't see anything from the ground. I could get pretty close and was about 10 feet from Eckhart (at least it really looked like him...it was dark). Defintely saw Michael Caine but never saw Christian Bale. I was able to get a little higher up over the green screens and observe one scene being shot but it was very uneventful. Caine is walking around with what looked like a serving tray and then everyone turns to look at someone as if they were listening and then the scene ends. Hopefully the dr will get some good footage tonight.

Are they still filming? I had to leave for a few hours around 10pm, I'm thinking about going back out there if they're still filming.
