Hype Deathmatches 3: Round 1 Match 21: Canadian Rider vs. Calvin

Welcome to Hype Deathmatch 3! I am carrying on the legacy left by Toven. I also like to wish her luck on her way to Miami with her newly shaven head.

To you newcomers, what are the Deathmatches? Well, they are a list of all the popular posters, mostly from the Hype Community Thread. Most of the players are picked from the first 5 pages of the Members List, well known posters/posters with high post counts/mods/trolls etc. Don't be discouraged, there's always Hype Deathmatch 4.To sum up, this is a popularity contest.

Each match will get its own thread and last 2 days. Whichever poster has the highest votes gets to move on to the next Round.

Multiple votes by the same user on different names is not allowed.

Game Outline:
Round 1: 60 players/ 24 matches => 24 winners move onto Round 2.
Round 2: 24 players/ 12 matches => 12 winners move onto Round 3.
Round 3: 12 players/ 6 matches => 6 winners move onto Round 4.
Round 4: 6 players/ 3 matches => 3 winners move onto Final 3-Way Match.
Final 3-Way Match: 3 players/ 1 match => 1 winner

Helped me get to the final four of the first deathmatch. Unfortunately everyone started using those after me and ran it into the ground :down

Calvin is probably the best poster on here. He's definitley among the greats. Nothing against Canadian Rider, he's an all right cat, but he pales in comparisson to Calvin.

In his absence he left some wanting his wit. There are only a few others who have that kind of effect on the rest of the community and CR is not among them.

I came on here in November of 06 and have pretty much posted in the GR thread, the Combat Chamber and various other threads.

I am definitely not known for my witty sarcasm, as I am sure Wil and Kip can attest, however I can argue and dialogue with the best of them.

I don't feel the need to slam people on a message board or be an a$$. I post about things I like, particpate with friends in threads in the GR section, post in the Chamber thread ... and flirt with the ladies of course.

If I see someone being a racist or posting things I don't agree with I will try and dialogue with them and share my thoughts for what they are worth.

My country is a great one and if I lose because I am the "Canadian" Rider, well that sucks but I am proud of where I live and the history of my country. We have lost many of our young men and women to fight against those who mean harm for the world, including those who have died in Afghanistan.

I was never prouder of being a Canadian then when we pitched in to help our neighbour on 9/11. Gander was awesome and took in thousands of stranded passengers. Firefighters and volunteers raced to New York to help. 1000's of units of blood were given in a few short days to help out if needed ...

Was I ticked when we weren't mentioned by the president? Sure. Do I get ticked when people dis my country on a board? Sure.

He's also not in his early-mid 20s and full of sarcasm like most of us intelligent posters. Not saying that older people are bland but he has kids and whatnot. He's in a whole different world that I can't even relate to.
