well now my mom knows too, and there planning on telling my whole family :dry:
so im like zomg no.

but im trying to convince them smoking weed is not as bad as they once thought, i told them i have a beeter chance of getting hit by a car or by lighting than dying from smoking.

i also old them weed is only illigal in the states because governmeant cant tax it, or use it as a cash crop.


so plese help me explain to them and convince them to get off my back and let me do what i think is ok.

anyway there kinda warming up to the idea of me smoking, i do it in moderation now, as its realy noi bif deal to me, i just like doing it as it relives me of my stress. and it also helps me think alot, i smoke than write music, or play guitar, it actually made me some what better at it. i shreded that axe like nobodys buisness a few nights ago.

Ice, seriously here is a point that I think you are missing. It is illegal. I am not going to argue the whole "pot should be leagal" stuff. That isn't the point. The point is that it is illegal. Weed isn't evil, I mean it's definately a gateway drug, but even then it depends on the person. The problem with weed is that like all types of drugs, you do end up building a tolerance to it, so you end up having to buy more and more, and you end up wanting to be high all the time so what starts out being $10 here and there, ends up consuming most of your money. For example, let's say you get this job, what's going happen to that paycheck is it's going go all towards weed, and the point of having a job in the first place will have been useless. You'll tell yourself things like, "Well I don't have anything else good to spend my money on" to make yourself feel better, but in the end you'll have join the lovely group of potheads. Trust me I've seen it happen too many times with too many fans. I'm not going bull****, and say I don't take a puff from time to time... also if i were to move out it would be at one of my own apartments that i currently own with my dad, we own fife 2 family houses, and two 3+ family houses, and a small apartment complex.

im set, i can choose any one of them to live at, most likely it would be the Atlantic beach house. rent is cheap, and i own it, id take care of the tenants and collect their rent.

i had 2 choices when my mom caught me smoking weed at 16...i could either 1) not EVER smoke again (or atleast get caught doing it) or 2) get kicked out of the house....no trying to convince them it's ok. also, i was grounded for 3 weeks, and that meant no tv, no telephone, no video games, no guitar, no music no anything but books (no comics mind you), homework and the company of my mom and stepdad (as long as they weren't doing one of the things i wasn't allowed to do).

So most of the kids were really well off, my family by no means "in the money", however they felt it was a good idea I should go. The law is like this for a reason. Despite what you may think, children and adolescents are generally not considered mature enough or experienced enough to make life decisions and act in a responsible manner all the time. 1. were not rich, were wealthy, my dad works his ass off providing for his family, i got 2 sisters too.

Pros vs Cons

If I do pot at home:
- it will make the house smell different and maybe my parents will enjoy the smell.
- if I accidently set the house on fire my parents will no longer have to feed and clothe me and if my parents have decent insurance they will be able to get the house replaced / remodeled

If I do pot at someone elses house:
- I won't get caught, and if I do I won't tell anyone who I am or where I live. so my parents won't receive any nasty phone calls about the behaviour of their child and won't have to pay my bail

If I do pot out in public:
- I won't get caught, and if I do I won't tell etc...

If I do pot:
- My bad grades can be blamed on the pot instead of my lack of intelligence and lack of effort
- I won't have to work, because I'll smell like pot and people with any sense will know better than to hire me, so my parents can count on me staying at home and doing household chores

Words are indeed a powerful thing, they allow us at indivuals to see into a man's soul, actions mean little, it is the motivation behind them that means everything. If a rich person gives millions for taxes, sure it's nice, however how nice is it when you find out, they did it to save a ton of money off taxes? And also something to ponder about, think about how it's quite a great deal easier for you to be charitable than someone else? Tell me are you a better person than say the single mother who struggles to raise a child on minimum wage simply because you gave more to charity?

yes im the same kid and im 16, ill be 17 on haloween.

im not as lazy anymore, trust me, i cant sit on my ass all day i get bored, i just spent quite a few hours putting some outdoor furniture set together, than i had to lift evry heavy piece and set it down, than my mom was all like i dont like how u set it up I (nag nagity nag nag) , than i re aranged it.

i almost have a job, my frient tommy told me there looking for more party helpers at this jymnastics place called 5 star, they only hire people who are friends with current emplyees, and well 6 of my friends work there, im basically garenteed the job, im also good with waching kids, and im very friendly and will always do what im told, when there is money involved lol.

Personally I think people should be able to smoke cannabis if that's what their heart desires, afterall tobacco and alcohol (both which are known to have a higher abuse potential than many hard drugs) are legal. But that's another debate altogether.

Btw, I am in no way advocating that ice man should or shouldn't be smoking cannabis, I shall remain apathetic to his plight, just wanted to clear up some facts.

Pot is a "gateway drug" because people build up a tolerance to it and start to realize that the high they get from it is both harder to reach and not as great as it was when they first started smoking weed. So, these people turn to stronger drugs such as heroin or cocaine in order to get that high that weed no longer gives them. Whoever told you that bull about pot heads turning to harder drugs simply because they have a way of obtaining them is an idiot.
Well joker is correct as well, im sure availability of harder drugs can play a major role too, but most bored potheads I know didnt turn to cocaine or heroin, most just tried magic mushrooms and soon got out of the drug phase after college. Both heroin and cocain are things that nobody should **** with, ever, simply because of how easily you can become addicted to them and how easily you can die from them. i have as much rights and freedom as my parents, the only constraints are the laws, you must be 18 or must be 21 to either move out, or consume alcohol.

Yeah, I understand. The answer is to move out and become totally independent from tyrannical Mom and Dad.

Really, the nerve of them to think just because you are their child and have raised you for 16 years and have provide for your every need, they think they can make you operate under rules of their household.

Once you move out and get a place of your own in society, it will really be great since there are no rules to live by.

Except of course, the rule that you have to pay your rent on time every month, and the rules of your lease that prohibit certain things, like playing really loud music or taking illegal substances, like pot.

There is also the rule that you will have to pay for the food you want from the store. So you will have to get a job to pay for the things you want and need.

Oh, did I mention that your employer will have a few rules too, like coming to work when you are scheduled, and coming on time, and going on break and lunch at a certain time and length of time?

There are also rules on what your job functions will be and the exact procedures they you will have to perform on your job. How much vacation time you will have, if any, also sick pay days, if any.

You will probably need a car too, so unfortunately, there will be rules of the road and you will be required to have car insurance on that car.

I'm sure you'll have to finance your car, so you will be required to make car payments on time or they will come and get it.

Oh, by the way, there are rules against smoking Marijuana, SO If you get caught, you'll go to jail and to get out, there is the rule that bail must be paid.

Of course you'll probably have to stay in jail until your courtdate, since you no longer depend on your parents for anything. There may be strings attached if you accepted it.

lol srry chaseter but that really is BS, oh did you know that drinking leads to alcoholism and date rape :whatever: :woot: There are some guys in jail for driving into cars or ppl while drunk, and others for doing other stupid **** while intoxicated, but that can't be you, you only drink casually, while anybody who uses pot becomes instantly addicted and cant even control themselves! I hate it when drinkers look down on those who smoke, in reality you can be as casual a smoker as anybody who drinks (despite the fact that alcohol can create physical dependence much more easily in teens than in adults, while the THC in MJ has no such effects) Oh and massive amounts of many substances can cause irregular hormone levels, even soy is shown to cause similar "side effects" but in reality its still complete bull. it's funny that the government isn't having that problem with tobacco, or barley which is used for beer, or corn, potatoes, or anything else that is grown.

for starters most people wouldn't bother to grow it if it were legal. not to mention you would need a permit, which would be extremely expensive to the point that it's only financially worth it if your a corporation selling it.

It wouldn't be legal for minors of course, which is all the more reason people wouldn't be growing it in their back yard.

If the government legalized it they would probably bring in a hundred billion annually in tax revenue and save another hundred billion on the cost of keeping it illegal.
