I just got the Spider-Man 3 game. On the back of the manual, there is an advertisement for a game called "Spider-Man: Friend or Foe."

It says coming fall 2007. It has an XBOX 360 and a XBOX Live logo. Anybody know anything about this game? It has a web-site:

Spiderman-friend-or-foe.com

...but it doesn't work.:huh: Maybe it will be up when the game is officially released.

hmmm.. That's interesting.. Maybe it's a multiplayer Spider-man Game we've been waiting for. Sounds like it.

RobHimself - did you purchase Spider-Man 3 for the Xbox 360? I wonder if that'll be for an upgrade later on that might allow you to play as the New Goblin? That's one of the features for the PS3 version, so it wouldn't surprise me if Xbox managed to work it out, also. Also because they did upgrades for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. But if there's an Xbox Live logo, then it means you'd be able to play against other people online... hmm...

Actually it just mean it may use Xbox Live. Like Achievements. Because Dead Rising has that logo, and it's used for acheivment.. that game obviously isn't multiplayer.

Actually, Dead Rising is coming out with a XBOX Live Co-op update soon.

Just picked up Spider-Man 3 for the 360 & the back of the book does have www.spiderman-friend-or-foe.com (http://www.spiderman-friend-or-foe.com) on it. says :
"A new twist on the legend.
A new take on the movies."
Coming Fall 2007

& it has Activision & Xbox360/Live logos as well. as for what it will actually be .... who knows? the site's still not activated as of release day

I just saw that today too, it had me all curious. The idea of multi-player would be amazing, but you have to ask the question: Who gets to be Spidey?

i hope it is free roam, be able to pick spidey and various villains, and many different costumes for each character.

I also think that New Goblin will be downloadable... i HOPE he is.Not to spoil the game... but we get to play (on XBOX 360 btw) as New Goblin, but for a few mins... Depending how long it takes for you to end the battle.

Theres a section for Playable Characters... so i'm hoping that you can download him in a couple months

I wonder what they mean by "twist to the legend" and "take on the movies". I suppose this IS the SM Trilogy game that was announced a while ago. Though the Green Gobo on that small intro on the site looks... awful. I mean, he's like some toy.

Anyway. Either this twist part is just shameless PR, or they are really planning something interesting storyline-wise.

Searched for it on wikipedia -

"Spider-Man: Friend Or Foe is an upcoming game set during the Spider-Man movie trilogy. It is rumoured to mix all of the movies into one game. It is thought you will be able to play as other characters from the Spider-Man movies, such as enemies. It is scheduled to be released for the PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox360, PSP, and Nintendo DS in Fall 2007. No other information is known at this time.

It was advertised with the game Spiderman 3 with the tagline: A new take on the legend. A new take on the movies. Spiderman. Friend or foe?

In May, 2007, a site launched for promotinal purposes on this game. The original website launched included a look at a possible in game model of Spider-Man and the Green Goblin from the first movie."

Sounds cool but Goblin looks like a midget in a power ranger costume.

I don't get how the Spider-Man could look so great and the Goblin so childish. There's something weird going on here, but all we have is speculation.

yea i saw that when i looked at the site, damn spiderman looks really good but goblin looks terrible hopefully thats not how its gonna look.

It'll be interesting to see where this leads.

But i still wish for a Spider-Man: Classic game, with NO constraints and FULL access to 40 years + of comics.
Costumes, comics, places.....etc.

On the same vein as PS1 Spider games.

I really hope they don't mean by twist on the movies thats its a cartoonish version of them. And I hope they don't do something really lame like make Spiderman the bad guy and GG the good guy like a what-if kinda thing.

A trilogy game would be neat, but seeing as how it's in the early stages I'd be surprised if the model of the Goblin stays Lego-like for the finished product.
