Alright, I made a DVD cover here. Now, this is my second manip ever, and I just started using Photoshop in its entirety last week....so go easy on me. :)

Anyways I tried to be original with it by not using 1 set picture for the front cover. Anyhow, I'm sure it would've been a lot better if SpideySuperFan would have sent me his tutorial like he said he would. ;) :woot:

Program called IMANDIX Cover Pro. I read about it in Asteroid Man's DVD Art thread. It makes making DVD covers really simple....if you know photoshop.

What you do is you make the whole cover (front,back and spine) in Photoshop as one image, and then load it into this program where it allows you to customize the type of DVD case, background image etc. You can also make Blu Ray and HD DVD cases with it as well. Its pretty sweet! :woot:

And I'm like you...I love collector's stuff, I'd buy it all. But for the time being...I just make what I'd like to see lol.

i use the lasso tool, and then feather the edges. it's hard work, but i do it so often that it doesn't take me long now.

I know my look for Carnage isn't for everyone, and I totally respect that. I just feel like Carnage's look should reflect his personality. He's a twisted, terrible individual and it shows through when he has the symbiote covering him. The camparison I made previously is like this; if Venom is a massive, powerful lion, then Carnage is a mangey dog who's missing an ear and is blind in one eye.

My other thought about his face is that maybe when his mouth is closed, the black areas cover his teeth and nose. It's only when he opens his mouth does the black area peel open and the skeletal look of his face is revealed.

I actually gave him sharp teeth in my older pics, but I thought about it and figured that since he didn't have as much of the symbiote as Venom, he would not be able to produce as many sharp teeth. Therefore, only his canines and the teeth right next to are produced by the alien. And you'll definitely see the distorted web design on the body. It's only a little bit on the face (around his lower jaws specifically), but I added a lot on the shoulders.
