Ultra Magnus wasn't in the first 2 seasons but did play a very big role later ................... I would certainly like to see him in the next film. I personally think he would be a great second-in-command to Optimus Prime, they could write him in as having been left on Cybertron to look after things while Prime and the others go to Earth.

Personally I'd love to see the Autobots establish some kind of base on earth and use this an excuse to introduce Metroplex, but as Bay is going for the realistic approach I doubt that they will have any fixed abode on Earth - I'm sure the government would constantly be trying to break in.

If the rumours of Unicron appearing in a sequel are true, then there's no reason we can't even see Megatron become Galvatron as in the original 1986 film.

Speaking of the sequel, is it just me or didn't a few of the Decepticons survive? Scorponok as far as I can tell only lost the back end of his tail - however if he was supposed to have like a symbosis type of thing with Blackout I can accept that he's dead. Also, Barricade didn't get involved with the final fight. He helped chase them down but never participated in the actual fight at the end, and never got killed correct? I could even see Frenzy still being alive after some repairs. Obviously, we all know Starscream shot out into space so I wouldn't mind seeing him bring back an entire fleet of Decepticons back fora full scale invasion on Earth.

It sucks that Megatron died, but I don't think I can even see how he would be brought back as Galvatron. I mean, I don't see how - just for arguments sake - or why Unicron would choose to pluck him out of the ocean, dead, just to reformat him as his general or something.

I would love to see the Decepticons and Autobots team up though, that would be great.

Oh yeah, Grimlock has to be in sequel. I don't even care if he's not a tyrannosaurus, make him a tank or something, just give him that rebellious attitude and speech impediment.

I'd also like to see some kind of boat transformer, and a motorcycle would be hot.

I hate the whole 'bring back Megatron as Galvatron' idea. Bring him back as earth-mode Megatron. He looked more Galvatron-ish that Megatron anyway. Besides the whole Galvatron tie in with Megatron was something the animated movie did, because they couldn't kill off Megatron like they wanted to (to bring in the new toy line) because he's indestructable , so they writer of the movie wrote it in as him being changed into another character, and everyone else ran with the idea.

As far as i know, and as far as Hasbro initially knew when they created the Galvatron toy/character, Megatron and Galvatron are two complety different Transformers.

I'm of the firm belief that Autobots should primarily be land vehicles, and Decepticons should cover everything else. While I'd rather they fleshed out the Autobots they've already got than introduce new characters, I have a feeling we'll see Arcee in a sequel. Perceptor as a communications vehicle would also be pretty cool.

The Decepticons actually need screen presence. Barricade and Frenzy were the only two that seemed like actual characters, and even then just barely. I'd like to see Starscream take charge leading some new Decepticons. Shockwave, Hardtop, and Longarm, all re-imagined of course, would make a pretty decent roster. Give Blackout a little more character, and they might actually be a threat. We'll probably end up with Galvatron, though.

Grimlock - His alt mode should be like almost like the T-Rex equivalent to a Terminator endoskeleton. The explanation should be that he came to earth when dinosaurs were still alive. He would have had artificial flesh, but it rotted away because he's been "asleep" for so long. And he wouldn't talk like "ME GRIMLOCK! GRIMLOCK AM STRONG!" He'd just have a big tough guy voice, like Michael Clark Duncan or something.

That's the ONLY way I can see having a dinobot in the movie working. And it would have to be just one I think, or else it ends up becoming too big of a gimmick like it was in G1. And they shouldn't call him a "Dinobot" either, because that sounds silly IMO.

Thundercracker needs to be in for personality alone.

According to his expanded Transformer's Universe biography, Thundercracker is unique among his fellow Decepticons in that he has a certain amount of pity for the humans they continually endanger or kill. He doesn't see the point of killing humans just to kill them as some of his fellows do, although he is very careful not to reveal this. No matter what small amount of sympathy Thundercracker feels for humans, his sense of self-preservation (and fear of what Megatron would do if he found out) outweighs it.(from his bio)

While on the subject of an Earth alt. mode for Megatron, I think the A-10 would be a solid choice. That jet is built around a canon that fires depleted uranium shells. They could pay homage to G1 Megatron's design by mounting the canon on his forearm when he is in robot mode.

On the subject of Megatron and an Earth-based alternate form for him in the sequel, I personally like the idea that he's the only Decepticon without one. I thought his Cybertronian jet form was really cool, and would love to see him keep it if (when) he comes back. It'd be an interesting contrast to the cartoon continuity where it was Shockwave who didn't have an Earth-based alternate mode, and would, I think, further distinguish the movie continuity from its cartoon counterpart(s).

Megatron. he'll be back in earth based form. the reason i say that is because the allspark fixed Frenzy after his mishap. and fixed Bumblebee's voicebox (that's my theory). well Megatron fused with it and ended up blowing up. So if the allspark still works (which it will). then we'll see earth based Megatron. now what will be his earth based form? tank? i know it won't be a handgun.

Since the first movie seemed stuffed and lacking character development in some areas, it is INSANE to imagine anymore than 14-15 Transformers to be put into the next movie. Some people have huge lists of characters and will end up being the same ones complaining about the lack of dialogue and development (Although the cartoons were known to do this as well).

For me, I would love to see the Arcee design in the sequel. Could you imagine this bike transforming while driving full speed? Sure, she would make a smaller robot, but she could act as Mikeala's protector now, since she lost her vespa scooter in the first film...

Recently, I've begun to hope that Jetfire will be one of the new Autobots in the sequel. An interesting backstory involving him as a former Decepticon who switched sides, aerial support for the Autobots, and some fight scenes between him and Starscream, would make him a great addition.

I'm totally down with Jetfire in the sequel. He would be awesome. Except I think he should be more of a spy/recon at first. You see starscream return to earth with 7+ decepticon protoforms and a couple seconds later this other protoform comes down and follows them for a while before breaking off and crash landing into an airport, taking the form of the new boeing 787. He could be pretty mysterious for most of the movie with no insignias on him, but he shows up later and saves Optimus from Megatron/Galvatron or the Constructicons. Later on he'd function as aerial support/autobot transporter.

After just witnessing the best cartoon adoptation ever I can't wait for the sequel (THERE HAS TO BE ONE NOW SURELY?!)

Bay has to introduce more Autobots & Decepticons to the Fans.

I really like the Arcee robot design that they did and used for the action figure. However, I kind of think she should have a bigger vehicle for her alt mode, like a car. If she were a bike then her robot mode would only be about 8 feet tall, making her tiny in comparison to the other TFs. I dunno, hopefully they'll get it right when they get around to it.

I had an interesting idea for how Arcee could actually be a pivotal part of the plot in a future Transformers movie, and to my knowledge it's never been done before in the TF-verse. But it's for that reason that I'm guessing it'd get a somewhat heated reaction from a lot of fanboys, so I may want to keep mum about it for now. :cwink:

Great idea. Unfortunately, with this current group of filmmakers at the helm (Bay, Murphy, DeSanto and co.) they won't look like their classic forms. More twenty to thirty foot tall piles of scrap for the sequel. I'll pass.

I have a feeling we havent seen the last of Megs. You cant just get rid of Megs in the first movie andd leave Starscream. I for one am hoping to see Megs come back, allowing for further exploration into the relationship of trust and betrayal between the two decepticons. That being said, we may yet see Galvatron as Megs revived. But I just want more Megatron honestly, and I never really was much of a fan of Galvatron.

The Decepticons are ones in question the most at this point, seeing as how Starscream was the only confirmed survivor, and Scorponok may come back as well. Soundwave definitely should be in there, possibly setting up a conflict between Starscream's Seeker faction and the Megatron loyalists. If they are going to do Soundwave, he should be pretty big and turn into something sizeable, allowing for the use of his mini-cassettes. They could still be cassettes, just really big, and transform into their main battle modes, which should be about the size of a grown man to solve the size-changing problem the writers talked about.

Constructicons are a must. I dont see a size-change issue here.

The Dinobots are a possibility, Grimlock would be pretty sweet.

I dont know about Autobots. I always was more of a fan of the Decepticons than the Autobots. :trans:

Agreed. After a while I couldnt tell who was who anymore because every damn robot had at least 1 other robot that looked identical minus a color change. Not cool. :whatever:

Hands down I would love to see Sound Wave kickin it with the tunes. Maybe play some Hardcore Techo or something. Also accompanying him would definitely be Ravage and Lazerbeak. Instead of bringing back a character Like frenzy, just go with a decent looking character like Rumble. Though it would be a little early in the Movie, I wouldn't mind seeing Skyfire. Atleast theyd have a decent flying Autobot in their ranks.
