If you start breaking it down enough, word by word, eventually it comes to your own deffinition. We could argue what every word in the deffinitions means. Or, we could take it as your deffinition, and mine. Everyone interprets meanings differently.

Oh, right. Yeah...that could pose a problem. Switching narrators can get really confusing. I have no other ideas as how to explore them unless Torment explains or thinks to himself. But how much does he really know? If he's a demon, he should technically know everything. Angels were in heaven before some left and became demons. I forget how yours matches with the original idea. Is it close?

It was pretty good. Looking forward to what Cody will call himself, and why he'll go evil. If you hadn't explained Matt's story before the experiment, and why he was in that positition, I'd have thought he wasn't even in the same ballpark as Cody was in. i mean, Polio kills. Good work.
Thank you sir. Now, get your ass working on a Blackheart post!! :cmad:

Hey Kaboom, if you wanted to do a shout-out for me, I've got one. You could mention Alpha and Omega. They were genetically engineered assassins who became superheroes in Steelhammer. They both died, however. Alpha was the father of my 2nd character, so I'm going to have to mention him anyway.

As brilliant as my idea for a second character is, I don't think we should bother talking about 2nd characters for the meantime, it'll prob be a season 2 thing :)
BTW, how old is STRIKE? I was thinking it was founded in the fourties perhaps?

The reason I mentioned the age of STRIKE, is that the whole creation during WW2 seemed like a good idea, obviously wait for Ef on that one, but I have plans for like season 2 involving a small connection to the begining of STRIKE etc.....

If we're gonna have it old, then we should have it REALLY old, as in established by knights in medival times etc. It's a massive worldwide organisation, either it's been there for a long time or as a reaction to the biggest war of all time, WW2.
EF's choice though, just stating the options. :)

I like having it be formerd as a result of WWI or a precaution before WWII. That way, during WWII, they had been operating. Could make stories as to why after WWI it was made. Like when the American airforce came to Europe and fought the german planes and such, some soldiers were flying but not in planes. And have other weird occurances during different portions of the war. My few pennies here.

The Question
06-28-2007, 08:46 PM
Create a Hero/Villain RPG SEASON I
Screen Name: The Question
Character you have created: Erik Lund
Alias: The Amazing Giovanni (stage name), The Magician, Crowley (nicknames), John Arnold (false identity).
Speech Color: Gold palatino Linotype
Character Alignment: Hero
Identity: Secret
Character Personality: Erik is, generally, a good person, but is often fairly distant and cold. He has friends, but feels fairly detatched from them, and has a hard time opening up to people and feels uncomfortable explaining himself, his interests, and his beliefs to them. His most prominant trait is his tendancy for sarcasm and witty remarks. He is also a fairly skilled manipulator, and has used people to further his goals in the past, although to what level he enjoys it depends on how much he likes the person. His main driving goal is fulfilling his True Will, or his ultimate destiny, although he's not yet entirely sure of what it is. Because of this, he can become fairly self obsessed and oblivious (possibly intentionally) to the ramifications of his actions. He does, however, find a great deal of joy in making people happy, although this is mostly from a preformer's standpoint.
Origin Info/Details: Erik was born the son of two teachers in Las Vegas. At an early age, he was drawn to the preformances of stage magicians. He longed to learn their secrets, and got his hands on every book relating to stage magic he could get his hands on. He becames a highly skilled illusionist and escape artist, and by the time he was in college he was preforming in bars and clubs in Vegas. However, by this point, he had entered a sort of spiritual crisis. He felt numb, and had become dissillusioned with the world. All the magic and wonder he'd seen in the world as a child had been replaced by cold, material, day to day existence. It wasn't that he no longer believed in God or magic or any of that. More like those things had abandoned him. So he decided, instead of wallowing in depression, he'd search for answers. He starting reaserching religion and theology, and eventually stumbled across the other kind of magic. The one with a k at the end. So, as his success as stage magician sky rocketed, his knowledge and skill as the other kind of magician grew. However, while he know had a better knowledge of the immaterial world, he still hadn't found any true inner peace. And so he has become somewhat more proactive with his craft. He has collectied and reaserched several holy objects and texts, in hope of finding his True Will. He has also become somewhat well known in the paranormal circles, albiet through his alias of John Arnold, and has gotten caught up in things like paranormal investigations and exorcisms in the past. His main goal is to atain spiritual fullfilment, and feels that the best way to acheive this is to increase his power and skill as a magician (the kind with a k again).
Hero Type: Mystic
Power Level: 1. Street Level
Powers (Be Specific): Erik is well versed in the mystic arts, ranging from Kaballah to Wicca. He is, however, first and foremost, and adherent of Thelema, the teachings of Aleister Crowley. He is more sensitive to the paranormal than the average person, and is capable of perceiving demons, gods, angerls, and ghosts that are otherwise hidden, although that depends on exactly how well hidden they are. This ability can fail him if the entity in question is particularly clever, or is expecting him in some way. He is capable of atral projection, although he will be the first to admit that it is one of his weaker skills. He is quite capable of exorcisms and banishments, and summoning spiritual entities for various reasons, although the level of success depends on the power and skill of the individual entity. A ghost or low level demon, he would have no troubles with, but Satan or the Norse god Odin, he would have some troubles with. He is skilled in the art of divination, and generally uses tarrot cards. He also occasionaly has prophetic dreams and visions, though these are rare and usually out of his control. He usually wears a metal pentacle around his neck for protection and luck, and has tattoos of mystical symbols all over his torso for much the same purpose.
Because of his training as a stage magician, he is highly adept as sleight of hand, picking locks, misderection, escape artistry, and pyrotechnics.
Attributes:
Strength Level: Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human
Agility: Normal Human
Intelligence: Genius (when it comes to magick, religion, and demonology, at least)
Fighting Skill: Trained
Resources: Average
Weaknesses: Pretty much your normal human weaknesses. So, bullets, for example. Also, his mystical training, while making him better prepared for magickal atacks, makes him more susceptiple to them in the first place.
Supporting Characters: There's his manager, Vincent, but they're not particularly close. His two stage hands, Al and Dillon, are his only truely close friends. Anoth sometimes ally of his is Dane, a slightly above average paranormal investigator who sometimes asks for his consult. He also has two mystical companions: William, a demon he once captured and tricked into pledging loyalty to him, who usually apears in the form of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and his Holy Gaurdian Angel, who usually appears to him in the form of Jesus Christ wearing blue jeans and either a "Choose Life" or "Frankie Say Relax" T-Shirt.
Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1. You always hear about very skeptical and atheistic stage magicians like Penn and Teller and The Amazing Randi, so I thought it would be interesting to have a character who's the exact opposite.
2. I like the idea of a person motivated not by greed or a sense of justice or revenge or any of that, but by a quest for inner peace. A bit different from the standard "You killed my father!" and "The same thing we do every night, Pinky: TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!" crap you see.
3. Ummm...smartass rich jerks are funny?

Oh. I'm on the "Drakon Hype" skin for the Hype. Shows up as white for me, and there was a bit of an error with the color on my part. Sorry.

That was sort of the idea. Plus, personality wise, I was going for a cross between Dr. Faustus and Dr. Cox.

Well, eventually, he is going to go on a mystical quest to become the equivalent of Sorcerer Supreme, and will pick up archtypical allies along the way. He could always use a world weary stoic warrior. And hell, they could meet before that. I had a story in mind about a cursed Japanese sword that's sort of like an evil counterpart to the Grasscutter Sword.
Glad to have you on board Question.
Much thanks.
Also, if you don't mind, I'd prefer if his name on the roster were just Erik Lund. The name "The Amazing Giovanni" isn't connected to his mystical dealings in any way.
