That's irrelevant to the question. Saying "her own age" is code for peers, not necessarily denoting exact age. Kids "my own age" range from 18-26.

But anyways, before I get to far off topic, so you think it's possible she had or has had a series of dating partners and or boyfriends in this time?

I am thinking that there is one that is trying to become her boyfriend but he hasnt became her boyfriend yet.

She said 18. Also Superman78 keep your disrespectful comments to yourself and quit trying to be funny because you suck at it and aren't funny at all. Stephen Colbert is funny you arent end of story.

My guess is no.

If she's cute it's guaranteed there are at least 3 guys trying to "be her boyfriend and haven't yet" and 3 more just trying to get in her pants... that really doesn't speak well statistically for ya GR...

I really think you need to learn a lot more about women.

Also you need to stop making assumptions about a person you cannot answer simple questions about.

Ghostrider87
07-27-2007, 04:37 PM
Secondly, do you check your cell and your house line everyday to see if she called?

Where do you get the idea that she's getting over a bad relationship?
Did she mention something about it?

If it's been 17 months since you last saw her, she's no longer 18, she is probably close to being 20 now.

Have you considered that she might have re-hooked up with her boyfriend and is getting banged hard by him this very moment

No I don't check it every day just to see if she called. Also I never gave her my home phone number so she couldn't call me on that one.

I got that idea from the phychic I talked to from www.keen.com (http://www.keen.com).

I really doubt that if he managed to end the relationship very bad.:o

Ok, first off, psychics don't count...inadmissible under the Federal Rules of Evidence

As for the highlighted portion, your assumption: Inadmissible lay opinion...

Thus far GR, your case is going out the window...

Because I never asked her those questions. It would be pretty hard for anyone to talk to a woman that didn't expect on meeting not ask her for her birthdate and expect to know it.:whatever:

There guesses not assumptions.

Also Superman 79 isn't funny at all. Ben Stiller is hilarous and funny, Jim Carrey is also very funny and hilarous, Stephen Colbert is extremly funny and hillarous. They are funny you aren't end of story.

Wow...you told me...I think I've learned my lesson.

And to clarify...guesses are worse than assumptions because at least assumptions have some sort of basis to work from, guesses are as vague as shots in the dark...

If you truly knew her you'd know the answers to these questions. There is not a single friend in my sphere of friends who I could not tell you something personal about. And most of them, yes I would know their birthdays and eye color off the top of my head. It's knowledge you gain from experience, not a list of canned questions. As I say you have a lot to learn about women and relationships.
There guesses not assumptions.

They aren't educated guess or educated assumptions either. They are based on mindless, self fullfilling speculation.

I have more to learn about an actual dating relationship but as far other relationships and women I know plenty there. So quit with this crap you have a lot to learn about women and relationships. It's you who have a lot to learn about not being crude, and a think you know it all.

Um, you can only learn about relationships and women by actually dating. Watching movies, or even from watching your friends isn't the same.

Same way the guy who plays football, knows more than the one who just watches from the sidelines.

"The End", and it's very odd.

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
Ill never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...strangers hand
In a...desperate land

Lost in a roman...wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah

Theres danger on the edge of town
Ride the kings highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...hes old, and his skin is cold

The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and well do the rest

The blue bus is callin us
The blue bus is callin us
Driver, where you taken us

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother...i want to...**** you

Cmon baby, take a chance with us
Cmon baby, take a chance with us
Cmon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin a blue rock
On a blue bus
Doin a blue rock
Cmon, yeah

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

It hurts to set you free
But youll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die

You have a lot to learn about my situation and other people if they are in it.
Actually not really. You've given us plenty of information on your situation when you started all these discussions about it. I know plenty at this point to see exactly where this is all heading. We've pretty much been able to gauge your maturity level based on these posts. Moreover, unless you have been lying to us, the story you've given us up to this point is pretty detailed, including your thoughts on the matter.

And BTW, Superman79 is very funny.
She has blonde hair and is shorter than me.
Okay, so were most of the women at the bar(s) I went to last night. Fairly common hair color and marked by the fairly common trait of being shorter than most guys. Check. Doesn't mean you know her, you don't. She is less of a person to you, and you are less of a person to her than that waitress you talk to.
Quit telling me the crap you asked them their birthdays or you asked a person that knows them. Also when I see her again I will know her eye color.
Again knowledge I gained from experience, not canned questions. And most girls who take you as their boyfriend are gonna want you to know that stuff in advance. They are pieces of knowledge that serve as a foundation for a strong relationship. Speaking of which: How exactly do you think this Jill thing will happen when (and if) it does?
I have more to learn about an actual dating relationship but as far other relationships and women I know plenty there.
You don't know much about women if you don't know much about dating. period. That's how you learn about women.
So quit with this crap you have a lot to learn about women and relationships. It's you who have a lot to learn about not being crude, and a think you know it all.
Well I have a lot more experience than you. Have you ever had sex? I have. Have you ever maintained a relationship with a mate? I have. Have you ever upset someone you liked through your actions? I have done that too. These are some of the many things people in relationships experience and that is how you learn about women, not through watching movies, TV, or reading books even....and certainly not through waitresses and Keen.com (http://www.Keen.com) Psychics.

As for being crude. I'll let you in on a little secret Ghostrider87, women like ass****s. They like guys who are kind of cocky and have that self assured swagger about themselves. What they don't like is little desperate co-dependents who take (very little of) their affection as immediate cause to to start treating them like goddesses.

No I am not clueless another thing you are wrong about. Also saying I don't know anything about anything another thing you are wrong about and quit trying to be a know it all because you aren't. You may have believed Bruce when he said he was the star of Spiderman when the fact is he wasn't it was Tobey Maguire playing the lead Peter Parker Spiderman in all three films. Also Bruce Campbell saying he is going to kill Spiderman in Spiderman 2, you may have believed only to find out once again wrong his character didn't kill Spiderman nor did he attempt to try. Also Bruce needs to stop using this type casting as an exscuse Tom Cruise is still type cast but he has still been nominated more times than Bruce has for the oscar which for Bruce is 0. Also Leonardo Dicaprio has passed the type cast test by not having been cast in the same kind of roles as Titanic. In just17 years of acting Leo has 18 award wins of 43 nominations 3 times for the Oscar. I think it's safe to say he will have more than 25 before his 20 year of acting. I think this Bruce b stands for Bad while the L in Leonardo Dicaprio stands for Legendary. He is a rising star in Hollywood that could win the oscar, will get his name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and get the lifetime tribute award while Bruce Campbell will be lucky to get any of those and get to 2 or more award nominations before his 40th year of acting.

He's just a guy that works his ass off, loves his job, and appreciates the fans like me that respect him for lying in front of a camera. Take away the acting part and he's blue-collar.

This is why I haven't done it yet. It is like going all in on a bet.

1. If I lose. I lose everything.
2. But if I win. I gain everything.

Such a conundrum.(sp?)

Gotta go with Jag (again)

Don't fear rejection. Rejection doesn't mean anything, you lose absolutely nothing, and there is nothing worse than building rejection up to more than it is. Guys, often those who are referred to as "Playas", who cast a wide net and talk to girls get rejected a lot. They just learn to brush it off, roll with the punches. However, they realize not trying is the ultimate form of rejection.

Even if you DO get rejected, remember that trying builds confidence. The more women you talk to, date, and have relationships with the easier it becomes to engage and start new relationships with new people.

True.

Think about it; if you make no effort whatsoever and don't even try, you've basically defeated yourself. You're answering FOR her by deciding that she would probably turn you down when you really don't know what she'll say. At least give HER the chance to decide whether she wants to go out or not instead of just assuming the worst. Worst that can happen is she says "no", which is basically the outcome you are at by not even trying. Sometimes in life you have to be willing to make an effort and fight for what you want. If she says "no", then move on and find another who strikes your fancy with which you may have something with. If she says "yes" then you got what you went after. But to stand on the sidelines refusing to ever get in the game and wonder why you never, ever score a touchdown....ludicrous. Someone once said "Nothing worth doing is ever easy". You'll find a lot of truth in that as you get older. Go ask her out. You've got nothing to lose.

I think you're missing the potential. He's obviously easily manipulated by women and highly malleable. You could train him to your own specifications and liking and basically keep him as a faithful pet who would do whatever you wanted. I would suggest investing in a good ballgag if you go this route, though, because I don't think he'd be quiet when you wanted him to be (which would probably be all the time). :hyper:

i did'nt know how socially awkward i was until a girl sat next to me and decided to have a chat with me. i noticed that i would mumble words as i spoke and actually said one line sentences, with a big pause in between. she was chatting me up and i took it as a sign she liked me(at first i thought she was just being very friendly, she offered me chips). Anyways, her ride was goinmg to come soon, so i figured i might as well ask her name and phone number, until i noticed she had a ring on her(wedding finger?), and i was like damnit! i decided to not even bother. she was very cute too:(

I like this guy. Let's call him Calvin. Well, Calvin is the son of one of my mom's friends. She goes over to Calvin's father's house a lot, and I tag along and hang out with him and his siblings. Well, Saturday night when my mom and I were over there, I asked him if he wanted to go to Lunch on Sunday with me. He said sure. Sunday arrives and he tells me he can't do Lunch because he has things to do with his Grandma that afternoon (his father can confirm he wasn't lying), so he asked me if we could move Lunch to Monday. I said OK. He calls a few hours later to tell me he doesn't think he'd be able to get up in time to do Lunch (knowing Calvin, this is true. :oldrazz:), so he asked me if I would go see Underdog with him and his Grandma on Monday evening instead. I said yes. I considered this a date, and Calvin's father kept referring to it as a date when he'd talk to my mom on the phone.

Well, Monday arrives. I show up to the theater all dolled up and I see he and his grandmother...ALONG WITH ALL OF HIS SIBLINGS!! I sat by him during the movie, but it was only because I asked his little brother's friend to not sit next to him so I could. He only said a few words to me, and payed more attention to his step-sister (Who has a crush on him, apparently. Must put a stop to that) than me. What should I do?

My issue:

What should I do?

hmmm . . . first off, there are a few variables . . . how old are yous? he could be a bit on the shy side if he didn't say much; I mean, sounds like you have a decent rapport w/ him but it's a little different when there's all the family hearsay and whatnot . . . .

on the other hand, plans were cancelled twice . . . not the best sign

I would pry just make other plans and see how it goes  something that would involve only the both of you, and where you can get a chance to talk openly (nobody wants to go on a date w/ their grandma and siblings hanging around :()

^ok . . . now this actually is important, and it's what Weyseed asked . . . are you good looking? Is he good looking? cuz although we hate to admit it (some of us at least), most guys are pretty shallow . . . especially in adolescence . . . .

now the weird thing is what you mentioned about the stepsister . . . . what's the deal w/ that!? have they been step-siblings for a long time, or is this a newer marriage?

yes . . . it works now but the pic is a bit small . . . anyway, you're a cute girl, so like I said; I would try to plan something more personal between the 2 of you, and just be yourself . . .

if you guys seem to have stuff in common, go for it!

but if he pulls the same thing as last time, move on . . . don't wait around for him to 'make a move'

oh yeah, and if he brings the whole clan again, he's not interested; he'll find a way to make it just the two of you if he really likes you ;)

Best general realtionship advice ever:

1) Give in, Give out, Give up, it's over.
Why even bother, when you're always wrong.
So much for trying, it's time to move on.

2) Run for your life!!!

I wouldn't post my picture on here, that's for sure...

Hmmm, If it were me, I'd just go for it and tell him what's on my mind. We wish more girls would do that actually.

New Development:

I called Calvin and invited him over to my house to eat some pizza. I heard him ask his dad if he could, but his dad said he couldn't because the family is going to a baseball game and if I wanted to go, I could. I said I'd go. So, any tips on what I should do? The game's at 7:15 Mountain Time.

stop beating yourself up man! just . . . just stop being a pussy, easy as that! you are a MAN . . . it's in your nature to get the #!!! it's the lack of confidence that's fuacking you up, dude . . .

there is no guess-work here . . . you have passing conversation cuz you enjoy what each other have to say . . . it's not out of the ordinary to say this simple phrase: "Maybe I could give you a call sometime"

and if she says no, WHO CARES!!!?!?!?! and it doesn't have to make things weird in the future . . . just act like you don't really care; it's her loss if she doesn't want to call . . . don't be a dick about it or anything but if she turns you down, be non-chalant about it . . .

all in all, you need to boost the confidence man, then things will happen naturally

I am trying to boost my confidence. The main problem is there are other people around her. It will be like asking her out in front of an audience.

then DON'T wait two weeks . . . take your ass back there tomorrow and say "I've been kicking myself for not asking you out . . . . but I think you're a cool/interesting (insert appropriate adjective) person and I'd like to give you a call sometime"

I was going to say the same. Quoting Nike: "Just do it". C'mon man... I know you can!

I take the bus, so after I left the store. I was literally pacing outside the store trying to pump myself up to go back in, & just do it before the bus got there. I just couldn't that pissed me off more than anything.

^man . . . it's seriously hurting me by him not doing it . . . . I think he just needs to do it, and not tell us he's going to do it, but just do it and then post once he's gotten the number . . . I think he builds the pressure in his head too much . . . he has to think about doing it all the way there, and all the way home he's thinking "everyone on SHH is gonna be sooooo disappointed" . . . lol!

Its not you all. I am disappointed in myself. I used to be a very confident person. Some where along the way I lost my self worth, & it is a real b**ch trying to get it back, because once you lost it. You start to realise just how many people try to keep you from getting it back.

maybe we should like... you know, stop putting pressure on him?

I'm sorry if we did...:csad:

but DV8 has point...just do it Max, and don't tell us untill after you've done it...

That is what I am going to do. Aside from givine advice to other posters in this thread. I am not posting a damn things until I do something.

^yeah . . . wheretf did he go, btw? here are my 3 guesses:

1. He's in a gym training w/ "Eye of the Tiger" blasting on max volume
2. He committed suicide
3. He's crying in the shower
4. He saw my post and decided to take his ass back to the pharmacy RIGHT NOW!!

I'm hoping for the last one, but he's pry doing #3 :(

Number 5. I was listening to metallica, & crying.:csad:

Oh man... it'd be awesome if it was 1 and then 4

Nope sorry.:csad:

I've come to the conclusion that Internet dating is the easiest and fastest way of finding dates.

Even then, its a ****ing difficult mess. You gotta find a half decent profile site, wade your way through hundreds of ugly girls, whore girls, poser girls, etc etc to find someone that seems like they'd be your type, read their profiles just to realize they're idiots (favourite book: i don't read teeheehee), wade your way through more crap, until finally you find someone that might be 20% compatable with you.

And then you have to come up with a message interesting enough to stand out from the dozens of messages they're sure to get. But how tough can it be to beat "OMG wowz ur pwettiful!"?

And if you seem to hit it off okay with the girl, you still have to meet them in real life to see if there is anything there or not.

I'd prefer meeting and dating girls in real life to seeking girls on the net. But I just don't know many girls in real life. None at work. Bars and clubs are horrible places to meet women. What other options do I have?

yeah, that's rough . . . you have to focus in on your convo w/ her, and let it come naturally . . . try to block everything else out . . . like it's just you and her; not an easy thing to do, trust me I've been there
