I really need help deciding. Robovison is closer to the actual movie design yet leader is a nice big transformer. I like big. I also don't too much like the back of Robovision voyager prime yet this prime that cooler looking guns. These will be about the only movie toy I will buy and I want it to be the right one. If anyone can help lead me towards the right desicion I would gladly appreciate it. Thank you.

Personally, I'm gonna go with non-robovision Voyager prime. I'm pretty sure that robovision Prime doesn't have canopy glass on his chest, which is a slight annoyance to me. The colors are a bit more vibrant, but I'm okay with how standard voyager looks.

How big will the robo vision optimus prime be? Will he be more like the classics version or bigger? Does anyone know what robo vision prime will retail for?

This is a pic of Voyager OP next to Classics OP from thedeadite's TFTM collection thread. It would seem that Voyager is indeed larger than classics Prime.

I would recommend the Robovision Prime from Target. He is in scale with the deluxe figures incase somewhere down the line you decide to bulk up your collection. He stands in at about 8 inches too so he won't take up too much space. The only thing you sacrifice is detail on the figure but honestly he's 20 bucks cheaper so you can't expect the world from it.

Leader also doesn't have the annoying "back pack" that Voyager has. I'll pay an extra 20 bones for total movie accuracy. Don't pass on Leader simply because he's 40 bucks, he's the best Optimus since 20th Anni Prime.

robo-visions back pack isn't that bad at all compared to the leader version, i'd have to say that the leader version is very bulky looking. Now for me i'm a big prime fan so no matter what i will still buy the leader version no matter how much he is. Check out the pics.

This is my dilema too... The voyager is less bulky then the leader... But the leader looks like it has a cooler transforming action...

Are there any side by side pics?

Really the Classics voyager figures should have been what used to be call Mega size class which had a $15 price point. They where actually to small to be actual voyager size class.

Oh and I have the Voyager RV Prime he's a pretty good figure, but as soon as i got mine I changed the head and put Alt Prime's head on the body and added more paint apps.

Leader class Optimus all the way.

It looks nice next to my MP-04 & Cybertron Optimus Prime. :trans:

The answer is Voyager Optimus Prime, by far and away. Not only does it actually look more vibrant, it is less clunky and not just like a huge block with a head. OP in the movie looks fairly thin and athletic, and so does the Voyager OP. Note that the Leader version has a much bigger back pack, and the most important of all, the Voyager OP is in scale with the Leader Megatron, and the rest of the autobots and decepticons in terms of their scale and size in the movie. If Voyager Optimus Prime is about 9 inches (28 ft in the movie), then Megs has to be bigger (34 ft. in the movie), and the Leader Megatron is 12 inches. So if you match them up against one another, it matches the respective scales of the movie counterparts.

I wonder if there's going to be a Japanese version that's better than both of them....

Today I got my leader prime and my opinion on him really did change. For the extra 20 bucks you don't get much, besides lights and sounds, but his robot mode is so rediculously cool. Comparing him and the voyager won't work, you need to check both out in person and decide who ya want. Leader fits in scalewise a bit better with the voyagers and deluxe too which I didn't think he would. As much as people hate leader megatron, I'll be getting him next

One minor complain on Leader Prime though. His lack of weapon. He just has a small gun. Voyager Prime's twin rifles, now that's sexy! :D

the twin rifles are awesome, but I love the automorph gun prime has too, so badass haha

Picked up robovision today.

Sweet toy. The $40 is too much of a transformer. Too big and clunky for me to keep around in bot form. I'm sure i'd have him in truck form most of the time. The robovision is sweet, and you will not be disappointed for $20.

That Leader class Prime looks badass but nothing like he did in the movies.

Leader Prime is much more movie accurate (looks wise) then Voyager Prime. One thing you have to learn as a Transformers collector is scale doesn't matter to Hasbro...never will.

Leader Class Prime is a replica of the 3D GCI movie model.
