Everyone, except me, hated Spider-Man 3.
Shrek the Third was a letdown.
Sopranos finale was a piece of crap.

If Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer ends up being a masterpiece it will be the most shocking year since `99 when a white man (Eminem) dominated the rap world.

This has been the year of the divided sequels. SM3, Shrek 3 and PotC3 have all garnered such divided opinions from everyone I've heard. Half of the people like it, the other half hate them with a passion. So weird. I've only seen SM3, I liked it but I can see why others don't. I guess its all a matter of expectations.

Spider-Man 3 was a huge disappointment. I have a feeling Rise of the Silver Surfer will be just what I expect it to be- a marginally better film than the first that may not be worth watching. Transformers is one where I may or may not see it. We'll have to see how the reviews go. I heard Shrek the Third was a see or a miss from my family, so I chose the latter. I was explicitly warned not to see POTC3 and don't feel I'm missing out on anything after seeing how POTC2 played out. None of the Ocean's interested me, and neither does this one. Ghost Rider was okay, though now that I have time to mull over it I don't think it was quite as good as I first thought it to be. I still feel 300 wasn't the masterpiece everyone claimed it to be, though it was good for the most part. I want to see TMNT real bad and will be renting it soon, so the verdict's out on that.

Paris Hilton made my year entertainment-wise. Not that I care, just that Paris crying about imaginary injustices and the media scratching it's head as to why people don't seem to care is a kick every time.

I don't know, it's been a good year so far in my book.

Ghost Rider (Good mindless fun)
300 (Freakin' awesome movie, my fave of the year)
Vacancy (Another awesome movie, great atmosphere on that one)
SM3 (Up there with 300, amazing end to an amazing trilogy)
POTC 3 (Great but had its flaws)
TMNT (Great to see the turtles back in action!)
Smokin' Aces (Another awesome movie)
Music And Lyrics (A funny Rom-Com)
Disturbia (Pretty good)

So far so good, plus there are a lot of other good films to look forward to as well.

The heroes season finale was a let down????:wow: That was the best season finale of them all. Now 24 was a real letdown imho.

Moviewise-

Spidey3- Bleh no where near as good as Spidey 2 and although i get the reasoning for the cockyspidey dance, i hated that part of the movie with a passion.

POTC3- 2 convoluted, they FKed up the best entrance for Jack so far, Many of the individual resolutions were poor in my opinion. POTC2 was far better.

TMNT- only complaint was that it's too short.

Transformers, Live free or Die Hard, Underdog and The Simpsons are the only movies i'm really looking forward to.

FF2:RSS is getting panned universally by the critics, Shrek 3 will only be seen by me if they have the exclusive TF trailer.

honestly, the best music I've heard this year is very far removed from the mainstream

as far as movies, I haven't felt interested in seeing many of this year's blockbusters, although 300 was mind blowing

I feel disappointed with the people who didn't take the time to actually take the effort to think through the Heroes season finale

as far as the whole paris hilton stuff, really? who cares? why should we? is she that much of an empathic individual that people should devote so much attention to her every fart? **** paris, I've got important stuff to do

a friend of mine told me how he though I'm getting way too detached from a lot of stuff, but I really find a lot of stuff to be banal, superficial, lacking in substance and honesty and it seems people's perceptions of reality have stopped involving anything that does not directly affect them in a beneficial way

and people worry about the transformers movie?

I don't think this year was that bad. It's just that all the things that should have been great, were trash. Look at SM3 and Sopranoes finale.

But as for movies, I 'm very pleased. 300, Zodiac, 28 Weeks Later, Mr. Brooks, and then Transformers, 30 Days of Night, The Mist, and I am Legend are still coming out this year.

And less we not forget the brain-explodingly awesome Lost season finale.

My rundown of 2007:

Films:

- Ghost Rider sucked.
- Black Snake Moan was good.
- Zodiac was great.
- 300 was good.
- Spider-Man 3 sucked.
- Shrek 3 sucked.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End was decent, with some redeeming qualities, but compared to The Curse of the Black Pearl, it sucked.
- Ocean's Thirteen was great, and broke the "third movie curse of Summer '07".

(I haven't seen too much this year, YET)

So far, Summer 2007 really sucks. I haven't seen Knocked Up yet. For the up and coming, they better be good. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer better be good (but I am sure it won't be, making Marvel 0-3 this year). 1408, Evan Almighty, Live Free or Die Hard, Rescue Dawn, Transformers, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, The Simpsons Movie, The Bourne Ultimatum, Rush Hour 3, The Invasion, and Halloween all look promising, and will hopefully be great. After hyping up Summer 2007 all last year, I feel like I have a bad taste in my mouth.

:csad:

TV

- Prison Break was great.
- Heroes was great, until I saw the season finale.
- Boston Legal has been nothing but great.
- House has been great.
- The Dresden Files was a great new show.
- WWE has been between good and terrible.
- This years The Ultimate Fighter has been pretty good, so far.
- Smallville has probably had it's worst season.
- Reality/Competition TV has started...

...yeah, kinda disappointing.

Bizarro appearing out of no place is why I felt Smallville could have been loads better. There's also a difference between 'things left untied' and how they left things at the end. It could have been better by loads, plotwise.
