I wasn't at all impressed with the quality of the SM3 toys. Then again, I'm not sure how good the ones from the other movies were. Anyone care to compare?

I had some from the first movie, but I don't remember the quality and I don't feel like dragging them out of my closet. :p

pics make the first one look amazing when its not great. heres my comparison for ya.


spiderman 1 vs spiderman 3.

head: hands down spiderman 1. the head on spiderman 3 spidey sucks and its put to shame against the black spidey which is the only figure i recommend from spidey three along with the articulated new goblin.

chest/body: 1. pretty close imo but one was easier to move

weist: 1. 3 is pathetic. it doesnt even move

legs: i like the knees on 3 better but 1 wins everything else.

arms: 1. dear lord 3 gets raped in this


hands: well 3 is in the weirdest pose. his hands i mean. its not that hard to make posable hands, especially spiderman

accesory: 1. i mean come one, 1 came with a piece of a building 3 comes with a plastic web

overall:
spiderman 1: 8
spiderman 3: 4

spiderman one feels loose at times but i know its just the wear from me haveing it a long time. 3 feels more loose and ive had it for a couple weeks. imo only get and ONLY new goblin and black spidey.

i just found the glow in the dark venom tonight, it's real cool. it is black with a gray shine to it, the mouth and eyes don't really stand out too much (which is good, they are the glow in the dark parts), overall, it's better than the purple one.:cwink:

all of them look thinner then the real spiderman in the movies. the one in the movies looks well a little bigger lol not as much muscles in the stomach and chest area.

No. It's not you. These are inferior toys, even by Hasbro's Legends standards! Hasbro reduced costs, increased prices and laughed and laughed and laughed......I'm guessing.
They ought to just write this line off as a failure and start over with a line that's in scale to the Goblin and Ock that I already f---ing have!

My local Wal-mart has tons of these Venoms with the glow and the dark eyes. I should've picked one up since I can repaint his eyes white or whatever. I never found the all black limited edition Spidey and venom. I refuse to pay rape prices on Ebay as well, I don't need it that bad.

I don't think that people who make these general figures(Hasbro? I'm not sure who it is)doesn't really care about making them look really good. I think they figure that these toys will just be played with by little kids and lost or destroyed or whatever. Now...people like Sideshow collectibles and other companies who specialize in collecting have a duty to make these figures as cool and realistic as possible.
