They're playing a card game. Poker, probably. And John cheated because he looked at her hand which he was holding; her hand of cards.

Damn, I forgot all about this thread.
Here's a bunch of easy ones to get the brain teaser juices flowing:
A plane crashes on the border of Canada and the US. Where are the survivors buried?
A rooster lays an egg on the top of a gable roof. Which way does the egg roll?
How many of each animal did Moses take on the ark?
It takes 5 men 10 days to dig a hole. How long does it take 10 men to dig half a hole?
Caught out in a horrible blizzard, you come across an abandoned cabin. Inside the cabin is an oil lamp, a fireplace, and an oil heater. But you only have one match. What do you light first?

1. Well, they're survivors. They'll be buried whenever or wherever.
2. Roosters don't lay eggs.
3. That was Noah, not Moses.
4. A hole is a hole. No half!
5. Light that match babay!

The czar of Russia was bothered by a riddle. Too take his mind of of it he went into the feilds and dressed up as a peasent. He passed a peasent who was asking the riddle. Another peasent answered it. he went to the peasent who answered it (whose name was Ivan Kureshky) and said "I am the czar of Russia. I command you not to tell anyone the answer until you have seen my face a hundred times. Otherwise, I'll put you too death!"
He then posed the riddle to his Boyars (russian noblemen) with a promise that the first one to solve it would get 500 rubles . one Boyar went into the feilds and proclaimed "I'll give 25 rubles too whoever knows this riddles answer."
"I do" said Ivan Kureshky
The boyar gave him 25 Rubles but Ivan Kureshky refused too tell.
"the czar said he'll put me too death"
"He'll never know"
"fine. Give me 75 Rubles."
Hesiatently, the Boyar forked over 75 rubles.
The Boyar Rushed too the czar and told the answer. However, a peasent reported Ivan Kureshky too the Czar.
"You are guilty" said the Czar "i will put you too death. Any last words?'
"Yes" said Ivan Kureshky.
He spoke his last words and what he said saved him.
What did he say?

Not really a brain teaser... but I got a good puzzle... a doctor has to treat three patients
"A" "B" "C"
"D" for Doctor
He only has two pairs of gloves. Assuming he has to use both gloves for each patient... how can he treat all three without infecting himself or anyone else? (Hint: Both sides of gloves can be used).

I remember discussing this one at work. He puts on both pairs and treats patient "A". He then removes the first pair of gloves so their inside out and sets them to the side. He then treats patient "B" with the other gloves. He then puts on the gloves he treated with paitent "A" and treats patient "C". Is that correct?

the one you were already using. that's if had isn't bad grammer. or you might not even have to make a choice any more since you only had to use it in the past to survive

Yeah I saw it on youtube... it was then turned into an adult joke as well... a dude has only two condoms. Wants to bone three girls consecutively. Replace the gloves with condoms... save the latex... maximize the resources. Good joke indeed.

I'll give a hint on the second one: it's almost a word-for-word adaptation of the original title.
And I think I messed up with "lapidarian". "igneous", "sedimentary", or "metamorphic" might have worked better.
