So I know this falls into guilty pleasure territory, but I f-ing love Big Brother.

BB8 starts a week from today. A bunch of info was just released about it...

I decided its time for the summer-obsession to start, so I ordered my live feeds and I started a thread.

Here's the info posted over @ AICN:

* Unbeknownst to most of the cast, one contestant will be able to win extra money if he or she behaves within the house as voting viewers demand.

* Several of the contestants will have real-world “unresolved beefs” with other contestants.

* Only two of the 14 cast members are older than 30. The oldest, a bar manager, is 44.

* All but one of the contestants are single or separated.

Kail my LEAST favorite HG won the first HOH, which is the WORST position to be in, and she didn't seem to realize it yet. IMO, 1st HOH is forced to nominate people based on almost nothing so they make enemies out of potential allies. I'm hoping that trend holds this season and Kail is in hot water, come next Thursday!

The rivalries were finally revealed, and man did they pay off. All of them seem to be VERY real. Based on not knowing ANY details, I tend to side with Daniele, Dustin, and Carol respectively. What's everyone else's take?

My favorite surprise of tonight was Eric. I knew about 'America's Player' before the ep, but I was WAY more pumped about the concept when I found out it was Eric. He was EASILY my favorite HG, just based on first impressions. Seems funny and ready to play! Hope we keep him around so he banks tons of cash!



Final thoughts...

1) I f-ing hate Kail, Dick, Jessica, and Joe already. (to be clear, by 'hate' I mean reality-tv-hate... im sure they're nice enough people, but while they're on tv, I plan to hate them).

2) Its tricky to pick people to actually like this early, but just based on this episode I REALLY liked Eric, I thought Carol was okay, and Jameka seems pretty cool at the moment.

3) I think Nick is retarded but really really hot, so I hope he sticks around, at least for a while. Dustin might be cool, but I can't tell due to all the drama around the rivalry.

Week 1: Sunday edition

So it was a great episode, imo.

While I still am not the BIGGEST fan of Kail, the person, Kail the player is pretty entertaining, while she lasts. She is definately making some crazy moves really early, winning HOH and solidifying the first major alliance of the game. Some thoughts: 1) Kail is being WAY TOO BOLD. She is making herself the biggest threat in the house. The second people catch wind, she's gonna need more the three young guys to keep her in the house. 2) Mike and Zack seem VERY into this alliance, but something tells my Nick is not to be trusted so much... He's very friendly with everyone and I'm guessing he could peal off very easily. In summary, Kail is the best part of the game so far since she's making tons of moves... because she doesn't know better.

Then there's Jen.... HOLY TOLEDO, what a freak. I can't believe what a nut she looked like crying over her picture, and even in the diary. In case you were thinking that Joe was the only loose cannon this summer, think again!

Speaking of Joe, I saw the conversation between Joe and Dustin on the feeds... I love that Joe is the only person of the six that didn't see the twist ans an opportunity to make it further in the game, but rather and opportunity to make his ex look like a jerk on TV.

Nick is still adorable, but he is flirting HARDCORE and he had better watch it... they called him on it on the feeds and he's pulled it back a bit.

Dick's name dropping was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying.

Amber's hair is gross, but at least it holds a lot of butter.

Tiffany's smile when Carol got nominated gave her away... she's a hardcore *****, and should be fun to watch.

Lastly, Kail's noms were smart, but not as smart as she thinks... Amber is pissed and if she stays she will have issues with Kail breaking the 'mom' code... Also I found it hilarious how Joe was all about how 'fair' the noms were... just wait till someone nominates him... Pretty sure fair would come out of his mouth.

Loving the show so far. The feed-peps hate the choice of Eric, as AC. I love it... He is a total moron, but he made me laugh hardest last night when he commented on how insane Jen was for crying about her picture. For that, we should support him!

I did get a chance to vote in the AC poll, but I wanted him to have to pour his heart out to Nick, cause Nick seems like a guy who really wants to be considered a good listener and so Eric might gain an buddy no matter WHAT he tells Nick.

Stategically, I think Nick or Dustin would be a smart move, but it would be HILARIOUS if he had to pour his heart out to Jen.

So Carol got the boot... big f-ing surprise. Apparently Jen was the one vote to keep her... Smart, Jen. Smart. I'm sure Amber, the one STILL in the house will forget that instantly.

Nothing huge to say about this Thurs ep, other than to say that Jessica is coming off like a massive ******, Danielle is coming off worse than Dick (which I admit surprised me), and Joe is a big huge mess...His inability to be nice to Dustin for 2 seconds will be his downfall, whether Dustin gets voted out first or not. Irrationality isn't EXACTLY valued in a reality show alliance.

The other major event was Jen winning HOH. May I predict Nick's nomination, since he doesn't want to make out with her. Just a guess.

That's just beginning of the season blues, espacailly after All-Stars. It's been 2 years since the BB fans have had to get to know strangers... They're all on best behavior @ this point. How can anyone be truly pissed yet... there's only been one pretty non-controversial eviction. Jen will make waves this week, I'm sure. I give it till week 3 or 4 and s*** is gonna be CRAZY.... Drama all over the place.

Last night was hilarious on the feeds cause people were up in the HOH room talking about who to nominate in her place. The majority want Joe nominated, but Eric/Jameka/Jess/Daniele/Nick were trying to push for Jen to nominate Zach in Daniele's place. Jen says she's not nominating a girl because she wants a guy to leave this week. She was thinking of nominating Nick to get back at Daniele since she wanted Daniele gone, but Nick put her into a guilt trip last night and now she's back to sqaure one again.

Yes, the house has agreed that Mike is the one getting voted out because he's more of a long term threat then Kail is. Once Mike is gone, Kail has no one left. She's an easy boot next week.

It might change those since Eric got his America's Player task, and America voted for him to evict Kail, so he's been pretty hardcore about rallying to get people to vote out Kail.

But at this point, yes Mike is the one everyone is voting to evict this week.

So from the after dark feeds last night, Dick wins POV. Although there is heavy speculation in the house whether or not he will use it. For some reason most of the houseguests are thinking that he will leave the nominations the same. I don't know why they would think that.
