I had to contact a Ms. Glasscock earlier this week.

Nice.

Wow. Gluey's weirdly named contact totally wins.

I don't know, man. Something funny versus a DuckTales character? It's a toss up.

I've seen those in some "specialty" stores before...and in the movies. :woot:

I interrupted two lizards having sex on the way out of work yesterday. I don't know if that counts for anything.

If it was Godzilla, I think it would have made the news. Unless it was in Tokyo, and then it's just old hat.

TheCorpulent1

It was definitely not a Godzilla or a "the Lizard" lizard. Probably closest to a Mondo Gecko, but it wasn't really a gecko, either. How about a 70/30 split between Mondo Gecko and "the Lizard" lizard?

You people can have your "hard water" and ski till your frostbitten members fall off, I get to scuba 24/7 here, surf does suck I agree (except during hurricanes) but you can't really beat living in a place where you can be in key west knocking back some horribably potent rum drink watching the women pass in a two hour drive. Sorry I did the snow thing for a while in NY and Boston, not to mention Ireland where I grew up but one visit to the tropics was all I needed to open my eyes.

Which is like the best place to live.

Cheaper prices, old world feeling, myriads of French cuisine, nude beaches left and right.

I've always found nude beaches to be a mixed bag. I do agree with you about the French food, but I bet your mexican and thai food sucks. Personally if it wasn't for the current gov. and living conditions the place I'd most love to live is Cuba, but that's not realistic so I'm saving up for a beach house in Tulum.

It wasn't the punch system it's our horribably corrupt gov. here. Don't you work for the government?

We have decent Thai food, actually. And European nude beaches tend to be better than the curve.

Yeah, the number of comics that sell out lately must be really annoying to collectors. I'm glad I'm strictly a reader.

No wonder I've been hearing so many Marvel fans talk **** about it. Just read through the first couple of trade paperbacks and it's bull**** pulling moves like bringing Norman Osbourne back from the dead. Like I said in my previous post, I've been out of it for awhile but from what I remember he's been dead for many decades.

Go get "Night of the Goblins" and then get "The Last Stand" and you'll be caught up enough and probably back to liking that lovable prankster.

AVOID ANYTHING WITH THE WORDS SIN IN THE TITLE SUCH AS "SINS PAST" OR "SINS REMEMBERED". IF ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT THIS COVER YOUR EARS QUICKLY AND SING SOMETHING AS LOUD AS YOU CAN BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T YOU MAY NEVER READ COMICS AGAIN.

I was wondering if any of you guys stumbled across this: Mark Millar's original synopsis for Civil War:

http://www.marvel.com/blogs/Tom_Brevoort/entry/814

What I find interesting is that Joe Q and Tom Brevoot make some suggestions for improvements that never actually made it in the series. For example, the scene where Maria Hill (in the first draft it's Nick Fury) confronts Captain America and we get his escape from SHIELD, Joe Q and Tom Breevot suggest this:

[JQ - Mark, to give Cap’s argument weight, I say that one of the heroes that registered has his family killed by a villain. This way when Fury tells Cap it’s all going to be confidential, Cap calls him on it, anything can be leaked.]

[TB - I agree. My feeling when I got to this part of the outline was that there didn’t seem to be enough of a reason for Cap to suddenly go rogue otherwise.]

Some very interesting reading.
