I just want to say: my beef with Kara's flying is the takeoff. Clark's takeoff (inspired by the '40s cartoons, STAS, and maybe Bryne's MOS) was a real jump to get airborne. Kara's just happens. It seems she jump puts her hand up and she goes up, up and away. That's what I hate.

Grant Gabriel redefined douchebag in a span of a minute. I mean, he was just....a complete jerk. And then the whole calling Lois just "Lane" thing? Made him sound like a young man trying to sound older. :confused:

I hated Lex in this episode. I just don't get what they're trying to do with him. He was going on such a great path and now they've just thrown a curveball, and it ain't a pretty one.

And just when I was all ready to be cool with the Lana clone thing, they're actually going to continue to play on this throughout the year?

I'm pretty sure the clone arc is finished. I haven't read any spoilers indicating that clone Lana is alive. The preview was just saying don't expect the nice Lana you've known for years. She's still pissed off with Lex and Lionel, IMO.

yeah that's what I think too. But I don't think he will stop loving her, I just think they realize that they can't be together. Clark will understand her anger, IMO. He hates Lex too.

I liked tonight's episode. I'm still not crazy about the whole Kara flying before Clark, though. It seems as if it's almost become a self-parody on the show, now that every Kryptonian but Clark can fly. Oh well. It is, what it is.

I liked Laura. I thought she did very well. I don't get some of the complaints about her acting though. Not sure what people we're expecting from her performance but I enjoyed her scenes with Tom. The good thing about having Kara on the show is that (hopefully) it will lead to more mythology based episodes and that's always a plus.

Something else that I thought was interesting was when Kara was telling Clark about a civil war on Krypton led by General Zod. That seems like a cool angle to revisit. I wonder if that war led to Krypton's destruction? Interesting stuff.

Why cant we get more mythology based episodes WITHOUT Kara being on the show? The show doesnt need Kara for Clark to learn about his past, present, and FUTURE. Thats what Jor-El and the Fortress is for.

Actually, it's fairly logical. People from the East Coast say things differently than those from the West Coast. Accents are regional.

The one thing that bothered me about Laura is the way she said "Kal-El" but I guess I will get used to itHer acting is hit and miss. She was good in a few scenes, but seemed to be struggling with others. We'll see how she does after she's had time to settle in. I wasn't too impressed with Justin Hartley's performance the first time he was on the show either, but he improved *very* quickly. Could have just been new show jitters the first time. So we'll see.
