View Full Version : I Can't Find 'Bumblebee' or 'StarScream' Anywhere?!? ... :(

First of all, DANG IT! :cmad:
I should have known that these two (Bumblebee & StarScream) would be hard to find, but JEEZE! I've been to Wal-Marts all over the city and nothing! :(
But of course, everyone's got the fugly copper SS that was made b/f the actual character concept was realized :whatever: ...no thanks. :down
And Bumblebee, he's even MORE elusive! Of course, there's a BAZILLION tanks (WAY TOO SMALL IMO), and Hasbro obviously isn't fooling anyone when it comes to the toys that weren't in the movie: "Wreckage", "the Red Sportscar", yeaaaaah riiiiiight  :whatever:.
So, is anyone else having a rediculously hard time locating a specific model?

I went to TRU on my lunch break yesterday, and they have LESS than Wal-Mart AND Target combined (if that makes sense )
I'm looking for the $20 Voyager Starscream, and the $10 Bumblebee that's the next size below that. I've looked EVERYWHERE in the city! Plus, I even looked at Target's & TRU's websites. They don't even have those listed there anymore!?

Well if you wait until this weekend on July 14th the 08 Camaro version of BB will be released or its supposed to be and it should be in good supply. If your looking for the 74 version of BB you screwed because I hear they stopped production on him and he wont be released in future waves. So either keep looking behind all deluxes pallets for him or just get the 08 version. Ask you nearest WM or TRU when they restock and just try to get there early.
SS Shouldnt be that hard to find. He will be released as a repaint Target exclusive with a new head and maybe the old version will be restocked in your area soon. Just keep looking, find out your areas shipping schedules or just wait for the new versions. :ninja:

Oooh yEEEAAahhhh! My throat has been starting to bother me again for about a day and a half, so I took a 30 minute break at work this morning to go buy some Airborne & Ricola at Wal-Mart...
It was PORING rain and I dashed in with enthusiasm, smartly heading to the toy section before the medicine area (boring!)...Well I went straight to the Transformers and they had a FULL STOCK and brand new toys!!! And at least FIVE Bumblebees!! :wow: :o WHA-WHOO!
So I bought a Bumblebee and a Jazz for the collection!! How sweet is that!? Now all I need is the Voyager Starscream! :)

Good thing I got mine when I had the chance. All that's left at Wal-Mart now is like a million bonecrushers and swindles, 5 leader Megatrons, and maybe four Ratchets and Ironhides (two each). I seriously don't know when the next shipment is going to arrive, but it's becoming rather apparent that Bonecrusher is not a very popular figure, most likely because he's too small.

Man, I better continue to keep my eyes pealed for said BB! Yesterday at Target, I noticed that they've released an entirely new wave of TF's with the "Movie Graphics" on the box (like the others), although every one of the new ones are TF's that didn't appear in the movie...."Oh, that Habro!" :whatever:

I checked out this other Target hoping they'd have the Robo Vision Prime. Unfortunately they didn't but they had EVERYTHING except Megatron, either Prime, and the 77 Bumblebee. They had the new ones (08 Bumblebee, movie-designed Arcee, and Dreadwing).
I picked up Blackout, Ironhide, Ratchet, Starscream, Brawl, 08 Bumblebee, and Bonecrusher.
I'm only getting the ones in the movie except Megatron and Scorponok. Megatron is a huge pain in the ass to find and I've never been crazy about him. Scorponok just does not appeal to me at all.
Now all I need is the Robo vision Prime and I'm finished.

I just opened Ironhide and his transformation is probably one of the worst I have encountered in a Transformer in some time. I can't get the pegs on his crotch to fit into the slots one his arms so his arms can fit underneath cleanly.

Yep. I also had like a gift card for $60 so it only cost around $75 for all of them.
BTW, I hate Ironhide's transformation. I got him to robot mode with no trouble, but getting him back to vehicle mode is a major pain in the ass. I can get to the point where I have to put his back end to the front part. I got the arms in the pegs but when I did, it seemed too forced and I put him back in robot mode b/c I was afraid he'd break.

It's true that this might be the most sophisticated line of Transformers maybe ever. And I've experienced similar frustration in terms of speed, with Baracade. But don't give up on ole' Ironhide, maybe he'll grow on you.
Spidey-Bat
07-17-2007, 05:51 PM
Barricade is hard? I can do him in a couple seconds.
I hope Ironhide can grow on me. I just hate how they made the arms. There's too much "this has to fit perfectly into this" for me. I'll have to try again because I got it but it seemed forced and I think something was not done correctly.
I opened Brawl and his arms a little pesty to get in the holes. I'm probably going to open Ratchet up next. I'm hoping for a smoother transformation for him.

I still can't get Ironhide to transform back to his vechile mode smoothly. I have no clue what it is I'm doing wrong. The windows don't touch the roof and the front of the car is crooked. I almost want to return it or buy another so I could have 1 in vechile mode and 1 in robot mode all the time.
I opened Ratchet and I'm satisfied with him.

transforming ironhide back to alt mode is tough for me with his arms and his cannons....besides that I can transform all my movie figs (leader prime and megs, ratchet, starscream, both bbs, barricade, jazz, bonecrusher, scorponok and blackout) with ease
Spidey-Bat
07-18-2007, 12:55 AM
I finally got Ironhide's windows and all flush with everything. I'm not really sure how, I just played around with how the crotch went when I connected it to the front and eventually found a way. I leave the cannons off of him in vehicle mode since they touch the ground just a little bit which annoys me. In time I'm sure it'll be a breeze for me like all Transformers have been.

The Target I checked didn't really have a whole lot. They had 1 08 Bumblebee (which I bought), 1 Arcee, and 1 or 2 Dreadwings. Everything else was Swindle, Jazz, Brawl, or Bonecrusher (mostly the latter 2). They had 1 of each of Starscream, Ironhide, and Ratchet (all of which I bought) and 2 Blackouts (1 of which I bought). Ok. When I do it do everything best you can. Then move that piece to where it is suppossed to be. It will offset the rest, but its ok. Then try to connect the side door parts to the body of the truck. Make sure those click into place, and try to keep the windshield part in its proper place. Then try to push some things in or around all over the whole thing and all the internal stuff should right itself. If this fails, I'll get mine and try it so I can better tell you. Also, be sure not to put excessive force. I am always fearful of breaking a non fixable part.

I like it a lot. My biggest beef is, like the others, his size. For the biggest Decepticon and most likely biggest transformer in the movie (second to prime maybe) he is the smallest voyager. I have heard no permanent plans for a leader class Blackout, so settling for the voyager is not so bad. Overall the figure gets a 8.5 out of 10 from me. I am really strict, so keep that in mind. Scale is a big deal to me. I would reccomend Bonecrusher, but his size is way off. I do like him, but I wish he was an ich or so bigger. Also, have you considered Rachet? Cause he is great too. Only problem, no weapons besides his axe and "cannon." Where the hell his gun and saw from the movie are, who knows. But his transformation is smooth, his robot form is pretty good and his vehicle is excellent.

If you don't have Scorponok, check out Toys R Us, they have an exclusive 2-pack with Blackout and Scorponok. I'm glad I did not pay the full price on Scorponok because he is a VERY vanilla figure.

I want to get them all at one point. Ratchet seems like a cool figure. Bonecrusher looks complicated, and what is with that rake thing?
I just got Blackout today. He's a nice figure. Size is never a real problem with me. If the figure is good, I couldn't care less. They can't make them to scale with the movie. If you don't have Scorponok, check out Toys R Us, they have an exclusive 2-pack with Blackout and Scorponok. I'm glad I did not pay the full price on Scorponok because he is a VERY vanilla figure.
I'll keep an eye out. Is it true the propellers fall off though?

Brawl definitely sucks. Bonecrusher is decent, Blackout is cool but he could have been bigger. Scorponok is VERY basic and not worth the $10 seperate. If you can't find the 2 pack, I'd suggest passing on him unless you REALLY want him. Starscream I haven't opened yet. Barricade is the best Decepticon I have.

TFarchives movie line check list. It says that RR and T-cracker are wave 4. And that they, along with wave 5 and 6 of the deluxes are coming in September/October. It also lists leader Brawl as wave 3 being September. But "September" probably means the last week or two of August. They also don't have the Blackout repaint. I donno, maybe as a small child I would've liked them. But they're pretty hokey. :o

Eh, I would say he blew some, lol.
I was thinking of getting both leaders plus 4-5 voyagers, but then I saw the Ultimate BB and am holding off for that.
Did you open your toys already? For an entire set of Transformers, I'm not so sure I would've, but then again I still haven't opened my robovision OP and find it VERY hard to resist.
Syn (Mercenary)
08-02-2007, 10:27 PM
I don't plan on selling them. I have loved Transformers since I was a kid. The point was to transform and display them. May even pass them to the kids. But I plan on getting most of the transformers movie toys. I got tons of old beast wars toys too. Still got them and always will. But when I get doubles, I sell that.

Yeah I think. But they are small. They might already be out. I'll put the link on here.

6" Titaniums=Transforming, and decently articulated

Hi everyone. I'm new here and have located all the movie Autobots except the '08 Bumblebee. I live in Tampa, FL and have scoured all the TRU, WM, and Target's in the area. Any other suggestions? I've written Hasbro about it and the bastards won't respond. I don't want to pay $50 on eBay if I can find it for $10.

Well, i work at Target, as some of you know, and i found out today that they are starting to "phase out" the wave 1 toys. Meaning a lot of places haven't gotten wave 2, and phasing out the wave 1 toys so they have room for all the new ones. so if you haven't gotten some of the wave 1 toys yet, do what you can to get them because if you're able to find them after teh wave 2 start flowing in, then there won't be many.
that's what i understood, anyway.

Haven't found the new set of toys yet, but was glad to have picked up an Ultimate Bumbelbee at Target. I had already given up since I couldn't find any of the 1st wave of figures. I went into Target without any intention of buying anything since I knew they'd still be out, but ran into 1 Ultimate Bumblebee sitting on the shelf.
I had bought it last Tuesday...

^ Yeah I really slept on the 1st wave. I remember before the film released, Walmarts, TRU, Targets were just stock full, but I didn't think of them really selling out dry. Once the film released, I went to check it out and they were all empty. Only ones left were those figures that transformed into the small electronics like the fake looking PSP thing.
I'm in California and we don't have "Shoprites" I'll probably just get them off Ebay. I guess if folks want them that bad then I guess I we can pay the extra they charge on Ebay.

I was lucky enough to pick up a '74 Camaro Bumblebee today at Toys R Us, but whats wierd is I've been looking for Scorponok for a few days and the last two times I went to Target, Walmart, or Toys R Us, they were cleared out of any of the action figures. I mean they had absolutely nothing. Weird, considering they were stockpiled when the movie had just come out. I was also lucky enough to get Starscream the day after the movie came out, too.
Spidey-Bat
08-15-2007, 12:44 AM
That's because they're resetting. They're letting everything clear out on the shelves and then putting the new stuff out. It sounds weird but it's what they do. They let everything clear out and then rearrange the shelves. In my Target, they used to have all the action figures in one aisle. Now they shrunk the Hot Wheels section in half and put like TMNT and Power Ranger figures on the other half of the aisle.

I liked the Scorponok toy as well. His robot mode is horrendous, but it is not in the movie, so I can see why they did a quarter ass job. But the beast mode is very articulate and cool. There is also a battle ravaged Prime repaint coming out for voyager.
