Plus I saw a pic of Saudi F-15's painted cream/brown for desert deployment. But the internet is turning up nothing. Also the darker blue is the most common colouring for a service F-15. It's what led Takara to colour Masterpiece Starscream the way they did.

Fair enough, but I was thinking today, the cartoon and the toys were huge abusers of the palet swap. I think with the movie series, in order to avoid confusion, they should avoid simple palet swaps to create new characters. If you actually look at the transformers in this movie, none of them were even the same color, let alone the same vehicle. I say, new character, new vehicle.

Personally, I'd rather see Thundercracker as a F-117 stealth fighter or something cool like that. I would not be content with a simple recolor of Starscream. The same goes for Skywarp. The "jets" should all be different models to give them each a unique appearance.

There's actually an Eleta 1 (not sure if i spelled that riight) that's a female Autobot, that changes into a bike that came out with the movie toyline. Saw it in Target today. Her tech specs say she's 'the first' female Autobot.

Most of the one's used in that little film have already been done in the Alternaters toyline.They wont do it again.

I like the fact they used really custom vehicles, such as Ironhide. That style Topkick was built just for the movie, same with Jazz being a hard top Solstice. They need to keep that up, lot's of custom cars. As much as it would be the same as Bumblebee, they could use the Year One Trans Am concept.

They said they couldnt do Arcee because a motorcycle transformer would be to small to fit the average height in the movie, right. What if this was a transformer it has 4 wheels each moves freely. its larger than any pro or street bike and they say in theory with the engine it can reach "According to the official specs 0-60 mph times have been estimated at 2.5 seconds, with an estimated top speed of 300+ mph."(according to dodge)IF U dont believe me look it up 2003 Dodge Tomahawk.

Personally I'm interested in seeing if any new motor companies decide to jump onboard for the next movie, with all the success of the first one and the way GM played there marketing it would be in there best interest, that being said GM could sign a deal where only GM or american vehicles are allowed in the movie which would be a bummer. Lucky there is still a large range to choose from.

I agree that this definately would make a kick a$$ bot...but unfortunately, and consumer grade car or truck, is going to be a GM...

You might get the exception with a Peterbuilt, but I see GM using more concepts for radical bots than actually cars (that's why hot-rod as a ferrari & lambo would be very unlikely)

Although hot rod as a vette (zr1 or the new C7 coming out) wouldn't be unlikely...or, knowing bay he might go GM but old so he can make the flames stick...such as a 63' or a 72' Vette

I'd Personally like to see Wheeljack, Prowl, Hound, and Sunstreaker....but i'm sure they'll weasle hot-rod and grimlock (i personally hate the idea of a dinobot being anywhere close to this film, takes the whole robots in disguise thing in a wacky level...the only time he'd not be noticed is if he was in a museum....although it would be funny if he picked that form to begin with and he got razzed so he walks outside the museum and scans a garbage truck...lol)

for decepticons...we need more air power...but i definately want to see soundwave (a must) I would like a non humorous small bot (a soundwave minion like laserbeak(maybe a predator drone with a vulture paited on the side?) or ravage) and then throw a triplechanger in there or the constructicons, or a new group like them...

much as i love hot rod/rodimus, it seems to me that the reason people would like to see him in the sequel is that they'd like to see his car mode, and not really interested in the character that he is. i hope all of you who'd like to see hot rod/rodimus in the sequels would truly go beyond the fascination with his car mode and get into his character. this also goes for all the other bots that everyone has requested to be added in the sequels. it would be really sad if it were only all about the fascination with the alt modes and not the characters.

Thanks dude!:up: Well of course I would want all of the Stunticons to appear [as they're IMO one of the few LAM-realistic combiners, as far as their respective scales to one another is concerned], and I understand that it would be that much more expensive to have multiple gestalts in the films [I'm talking about Devastator].

There are SO many other plot holes in the movie and in the original show, i don't think anyone would even notice. I would treat it like the TX and Cameron from the terminator frachise. Not necessary, just happens to be another type of robot, that in our human eyes, happens to look like a female and act like one. While you have a good point, i don't think it should stop them from bring in Acree. If you think it will a big issue, then drop em completely, but if they do bring them, not to explain it and further complicate things, but instead hope that no one picks it up.:woot:

I'm really hoping that they find some way to giving life other than the allspark. The allspark makes the Transformers nothing but machines that were given life...and without the Allspark they would cease to exist beyond the robots they currently have. :down

the problem is, they showed examples of it...the mountain dew machine, the xbox360, cadillac. SO they may have shot themselves in the foot there, i think it's too late. they already established that the allspark gave life. From the mouth of OP himself, that their race exist because of the allspark.

There was only one origin for the Dinobots in the cartoon.After finding some dini-bones in their volcano HQ Spike taught the Autobots about Dinosaurs by taking them to a musem.

Afterwards Wheeljack gets the bright idea to create robot versions of them.

But the consept of Prowl did not become Barricade.

Barricade was the name of a G1 Decepticon Micro-master.

The name Barricade was also used in the "Transformers Energon" line as a military missle lancher.


The Insecticons are how i would picture them, because Skorponok was attached in Blackout and didn't assume any ''humam'' form.

Skorponok's toy did have a robot [humanoid looking] mode but it was never shown in the film.

Then, based off of Michael Bay saying that they were going to have a geriatric autobot, and the almost inclusion of Arcee in the first movie, I included both of these. I have tried to stay with just GM automobiles, but in the case of Arcee (GM has no motorcycle) and Ultra Magnus, I did stray, but, as you can see with Ultra Magnus, I used an independent manufacturer and as I always saw him as a mix between Optimus Prime and Ironhide (strong leader with an attitude), I figured that this would be perfect for him as it appears to be situated between the Topkick and a Peterbuilt. Enjoy. Oh, please keep in mind that many of these would have to be re-painted.

They got to get around more names then that to use the Constructicons.

I think that "Scrapper" & "Long Haul" are the only names they can still use besides the ones already used in the first film.

Are there any that you absolutely agree with or absolutely don't like? I really want other people's feedback on these choices..... Especially the Autobots. The constructicons are easy because, well, you just get matching construction equipment and you are good. I haven't really decided what vehicle forms I would like for my other Decipticon choices like Soundwave and his two - three minions Laserbeak, Rumble and Ravage, nor I have I figured out about Shockwave. I feel that those, combined with Skorponok (who was still alive) and Starscream who brings these fellows back should be a good battle for the group.

I think Shockwave should definately be a huge tank if he is going to be in the sequel.

Ultra Magnus needs to be a truck like Optimus also IMO.

What about, and this would be an amazing visual, a standard issue 5-ton military truck troop transport with a towed howitzer cannon behind him. When he transforms, it all merges together? I'll try and find a pic of one, maybe even from my days in the Marines.

As far as Ultra Magnus, what are your thoughts concerning the original show. Unlike OP, Ultra actually merged with his car transport trailer which, in Michael Bay world, would make him so much larger than OP. Would you like to see that and make him a larger robot, because, let's face it, they are not going to want to do two robots that look similiar like having two rigs as robots. There would have to be something different. That's really what my whole approach was. What are your (and everyone else's) thoughts?

Lets say the Soundwave or in a twist the government take's whats left of the Tanks brain and the remains of the other dead Decepticons and creates the Constructions.

The Tanks brain [Devastator] could be the combined personalty.

Not if the transport trailer fits over his body as a exo-suit.

Well i would rather that Shockwave, like Megatron, (seeing as Shockwave is the only real pretender to Megatron's throne, and the only one powerful enough to take it from him, sorry Starscream) shouldnt have an Earth form. The way Megatron was a futuristic/alien jet, i would like to see Shockwave as a futuristic/alien tank. I think it would suite him perfectly.

As for Ultra Magnus, again i think he should stay a truck, maybe he could be more like the truck Optimus was in the cartoons? That he would be different and around the same size as Optimus also.

I will agree with you on both accounts. Shockwave doesn't really need to have an Earth form and a Cybertronian Tank would differentiate him from Devastor and definately be able to keep his design cues from the cartoon/comic books.

As far as Ultra Magnus, that is a brilliant idea. Making him the flat nosed truck would make him shorter (which is why Bay didn't go that way with OP) and then add the car carrier as an exo-skeleton or battle suit would not only put him back up to the right size, but definately make for a different look.

I agree. An alien tank would be the best choice for Shockwave. And one idea that has been proposed that I liked would be to make Ultra Magnus a firetruck.

Now I like this one. This is a good idea. It does however, infringe upon the classic G1 Hoist, but it's still a rig. Are you opposed to what the previous poster said about a flatnosed rig with a car trailer? I think that's a perfect idea for Ultra because ultimately, he will be shorter than Optimus and yet, have an exo-skeleton made up of his transport. Think of the transformation possibilites on that one. I would love to see a mock up of that..... Any graphic designers up for the challenge?

Just so everyone knows my stance, and why I keep turning down some ideas, like the firetruck or tow-truck is because just as this movie is adding new robots, it is very possible that the next movie will also add new robots. I don't want to limit possibilities of seeing old favorites because their vehicle mode has been taken. Some, like the sports cars and vans, etc., can easily be changed, but things like a firetruck or a tow truck, etc. are kind of who the charachter is. A lot of the Decepticons are forced to take on new modes either due to their outdated status (a microcasette recorder) or that the writers do not want to get into too much mass shifting (a microcassette recorder or a handgun)(although, wasn't there a little bit of mass shifting with the Allspark there at the end?) so they are forced to change. I think for the most part, they have kept pretty faithful to the charachters, so if the option is there for them to take on their old self, close to their old self, or not step on the form of another autobot that could potentially be in a sequal, they should respect those posibilities. Many times on the cartoon, their alternate form was based on their personality:
