did anyone used to watch this guy? i used to all the time back when i was a young young chap. his voice is one of the more relaxing things ive heard in my entire life, used to put me right to sleep and im certain that he contributed to my love of art.

Oh, he has a soul, it is just a snobby one when it comes to art. You have to realize that Bob Ross, as sweet a guy as he was, was not a "Great Artist" to other artists because there was little innovation to his work. He could paint a beautiful picture in 30 minutes, but seriously, his landscapes all looked very similiar to one another and did not show anything that was remarkable or different from any other mass produced artwork. Artists in general, btw, are very critical of each other and are, usually, by nature vocal about their opinions.
