Thoughts about this? I saw the CNN thing a couple nights ago, and she looked like a living corpse...

Why are we talking about vaginas and itchy nipples in a thread on this woman's death?

65 isn't old.......my mom died at the age of 65 as well, and she had many, many more years to spend with her grandchildren......

Very sad for Tammy's family......from the way they speak, they loved her very much.

Although I clearly recall being disgusted by what this woman and her husband did in the 80's (namely, fleecing their ministerial flock of thousands for greedy gains including building an air-conditioned dog house for her pet :whatever: ), my heart does go out to her grieving family.

65 is waaaaaaaaaay too young to leave.

Good point on choosing our words wisely in this thread.

I didn't follow her life closely but it seems to me that she endured more than a person should have to in a lifetime. She always came off as a simple lady, maybe to a fault, who didn't know how to handle fame or being a leader via association. Then she's caught up in embarrassing scandals with money and with her cheating hubby, battles prescription drug addiction then gets cancer. Even though she enjoyed great wealth for a short time, it seems that like was tough on her more often than not.
I saw part of the King interview and she was reflective. I hope she repented the mistakes she made. I also hope that she is enjoying the riches of Heaven. We are all imperfect. She surely was imperfect. Yet she had faith and in the end, that's all that matters.

Sad news. If anything, she was more of a victim thanks to her ******* husband. My condolences and prayers go out, and hopefully she is with God now.

She seemed so hopeful on Larry King the other night. I sort of feel bad for her.

While I never really liked her - she made such a fool of herself - I know what it's like to lose someone to cancer, and my condolences go out to the people she left behind.

She's gone to that big Clinique counter in the sky...

She also deserves credit for her work with AIDS patients. She was one of the first mainstream religious figures to reach out to AIDS / HIV victims.

Wow, i made this thread to talk about the passing of someone, knowing that there are people our there mourning this incident, and people are making jokes. I wasnt even close to being a fan of hers, but jeez guys, show some respect.

Wow, I am not on the Hype for the weekend and we have a new sub-forum. Wowzer, anyways, I saw the Tammy Faye news at McDonald's this morning. She was uber-cool on season 2 of The Surreal Life (a.k.a. the best season).
