Britney Spears got a break today -- whether she knows it or not. A judge just ordered Adnan Ghalib to stay completely clear of Brit for three years.

You'll recall Brit's conservators already got a temporary restraining order prohibiting Adnan from having contact with the famous conservatee, after Adnan allegedly tried torpedoing the conservatorship.

Adnan was a no show for today's hearing, so the judge gave the green light for a permanent injunction.

Fred Durst is a lot of things, but he's apparently not one to hold a grudge. The outspoken artist recently made peace with guitarist Wes Borland to re-form the classic Limp Bizkit lineup, and if he has anything to say about it, Britney Spears could be next.

The story begins in 2003 when Spears tapped Durst to pen songs for her next album. The collaboration then allegedly turned into a romantic fling, with Durst telling fans in a statement that Spears "happens to be a person that I [wouldn't] have thought could make me feel this way."

In the resulting paparazzi firestorm that followed, the exact details of the relationship became muddled. On "TRL," Spears declared not only were they not dating, but that she barely knew the Bizkit frontman. Durst then took to the airwaves, telling Howard Stern that it was "unbelievable about this crap she's saying," and swearing on his child's "blue eyes" that he was telling the truth.

Whatever transpired, life quickly moved on. Spears married her hometown sweetheart and divorced after 55 hours, before marrying Kevin Federline and divorcing him two years later. Durst, for his part, continued making music and pursuing a directing career (his latest film, "The Education of Charlie Banks," stars Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Ritter and opens March 27).

But the alleged Durst/Spears dalliance remains a curious sidenote in both artists' careers. So, six years later, what does Durst make of the situation?

"It just became a fiasco of madness," he told MTV News this week. "[But] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar."

The confusion over the affair still remains with Durst, and the rocker points to the episode as one of the first in a long line of erratic episodes for Spears. "I look back on it as very interesting [in terms of] how things have been sort of unraveling for her since," he said. "[But] it is what it is. I can sleep at night knowing I made decisions that I wanted to make. [Still], I'm a supporter. I was then, I guess I am now.

"Her own decisions and different things in her life, people can judge her all they want, but she has an extreme presence and when she's giving it, it's really good," he continued. "I don't think you can really write her off and I just think it'd be silly for people to think that they could. Everything kind of works in cycles and I think she's an example of how those things work."

For Durst, summing up the incident may all boil down to one underlying theme. "I just guess at the time it was taboo for a guy like me to be associated with a gal like her," he laughs.

Apparently Britney Spears' father, Jamie, is forcing one of the biggest BritBrit fansites to shut its figurative doors.

According to Jordan Miller, owner and webmaster of BreatheHeavy.com:

Dear BreatheHeavy readers,

I, Jordan Miller, Owner & Webmaster of BreatheHeavy.com and BritneyRes.com, want to thank you with all my heart for the loyalty and support you’ve shown over the last 5 years BreatheHeavy has been open.

We are all here for one purpose: to support the icon of our generation, Britney Spears, and to continuously stick by her through the good and bad.

I have been battling the conservatorship Britney is currently placed under for months now. When I did not conform to the requests and demands Britney’s management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they in turn became angry and malicious, launching, what I feel is an unjust attack, against me and my website.

As a result, I received a legal notice from Jamie Spears’ lawyers pressuring me to close BreatheHeavy.com by 3:00 p.m. PST today, March 27, 2009, or face an injunction, claiming they will pursue legal action by Jamie Spears, who, as a conservator, is legally allowed to act as Britney and sue using her money and lawyers.
“Britney doesn’t control her affairs,” said Brad Rose, the lawyer representing Britney in this case in a telephone conversation.

“You are an uber fan who’s gone a little too far.”

The legal notice states BreatheHeavy is not in compliance of Copyright Infringement laws, violating Britney’s rights of publicity and privacy:

"Ms. Spears will pursue damages and injunctive relief in connection with the blatant violation of her rights of publicity and privacy."

The real issue, in my opinion, is hidden behind these Copyright Infringement claims, rather management, particularly her father / conservator, Jamie Spears, who makes $18,000 a month off his daughter, is desperately trying to hide the truth about Britney’s imprisonment, and shut anyone up who disagrees with their conniving and selfish exploitation of an innocent mother of 2 pushed back into the lime-light just several months after a hospitalization.
Another issue the lawyers claim aside from “Copyright Infringement,” is the use Britney’s trademarked name and image, stating I am not allowed to use her name or picture except for editorial and hard news purposes only.

Additionally, the Google and TicketMaster ads placed around the website are a “major issue,” stating I am using Britney’s name and image for financial gain without her consent.

BreatheHeavy.com is a non-profitable website, meaning I, nor anyone, makes a PROFIT off the website. The ads used help the website remain self-sustainable, and if there is a profit made, the funds, in return, are used to purchase magazine scans and other materials needed for the website.

Am I crazy and naive for running a major website that leaves me in debt each month? Possibly, but BreatheHeavy is my passion, a creative outlet that has allowed me to grow as an individual.

Britney Spears is my inspiration; I can’t put a price on that.

Though I made very clear to the attorneys that BreatheHeavy is a non-profitable website, it is of no concern of theirs.

This entire site thrives because of YOU, the fans, who support Britney by buying tickets to her show, merchandise and music. Sadly, your hard-earned money that goes to supporting your favorite celebrity, is now money being used to potentially sue me, a major fan and supporter of Britney Spears, and hide fans from knowing the TRUTH.

The concert was amazing! SO MUCH FUN! I think it started a little slow but by definitely picked up! People claim she sang along a little bit with Everytime, but I don't think so. Freakshow, Get Naked, Slave, BOMT were my favorite numbers of the night. Really great concert! Pussycat Dolls also surprised me. They put on a marvelous act too.

Sad that Breathe Heavy is closing. Even if the owner is *****, that was a great site to get news.

The show didn't go on in Vancouver Wednesday night after Britney Spears pulled the plug on her sold-out Circus concert 15 minutes and three songs into her performance – departing the stage and leaving the audience in the GM Place in the dark for more than half an hour. Boos ensued.

Cigarette smoke from the crowd was blamed, with a female voice announcing to the crowd, "The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes – this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared," the Vancouver Sun reports.

Until the agitated crowd settled down, GM Place was filled with piped-in intermission music played at hockey games – which, one concertgoer told PEOPLE, left the fans "really pissed off. The break in the concert ruined it for everyone. The vibe was gone."

When she did return, Spears, 27, delivered a well-received Bollywood take on "Me Against the Music," followed by "Everytime" – during which she asked the crowd "What's up, Vancouver?" before she again left the stage, some 90 seconds before the end of the song.

The concert concluded with Spears singing "Womanizer" and advising the still-restless crowd, "Vancouver, don't smoke weed." Her sign-off was also peppered with a couple of X-rated expletives and a warning to "drive safe."

After the show, a statement was posted on the singer's Web site: "We want to apologize to all the fans who attended our Vancouver show tonight for the brief pause in Britney's set. Crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue."

There was a ventilation issue and crew members that were in the lighting rigs were getting ill from the smoke. Also, the smoking was most likely taking place in the ringside seats which are a few feet from the stage. That is very distracting and harmful to performers.

Sam Lutfi must stay at least 100 feet away from Britney until 2012 according to the permanent restraining order filed against him by Jamie Spears on behalf of Britney for allegedly undermining the conservatorship.

Lutfi filed an appeal against the TRO.

Bryan Freedman, Lutfi's lawyer, claims "there was absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Britney Spears was suffering substantial emotional distress as required by the statute."

"In fact, the evidence was just the opposite - it was that she was reaching out for Sam's help, and all Sam did was get her a lawyer," Freedman continued. "

There is no evidence of threats or stalking or anything whatsoever."

According to Eonline.com, Freedman argued in the appeal, filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, that Lutfi never threatened or harassed Spears, and claimed that he in fact was laboring at her behest.

"We believe the appellate court will overturn the ruling," Freedman said.

"Restraining orders were created for stalkers and for people who make threats, and truly the only evidence that existed in the whole case was that Sam sent 10 text messages to the hairdresser - none of which were threatening or a vulgar word or mean or anything else."

Freedman continued to say that Lutfi was looking out for Britney's best interests and that he felt Britney herself would not want nor feel the need to obtain a permanent restraining order.

"Sam got her a lawyer, and facilitated his sister, and she requested getting her a cell phone," he said.

"If Britney Spears wanted this restraining order herself then why didn't she testify, come to court, send a letter to the judge or do anything?"

Britney did not appear in court after a judge ruled that she "lacks the capacity" to testify.

Britney Spears already has a popular perfume line, but sales might skyrocket if her newest scent makes it into stores: a fragrance called 'Mo that carries the tantalizing tagline "One spray and the gays will run your way!"

Too bad 'Mo — and the video promoting it — is a spoof, part of the viral-marketing campaign for the Logo network's NewNowNext awards show. MTV News called up the brains behind the clip to get the inside scoop about how the project came together and why Brit decided to take part. "She's having fun with her gay audience, because she's an official gay icon at such a young and tender age," said Christopher Willey, a Logo executive producer. (Logo and MTV are both owned by Viacom.)

Willey explained that the tone of the awards show is "very playful, irreverent, doesn't take it too seriously." When they decided to give their Always Next, Forever Now award to Spears, Willey approached the singer's label and management with the idea for the faux perfume ad.

"We [wanted] something that would be fun and playful that we can celebrate/mock, and we thought, 'It's her perfume career,' " Willey said. "Because everyone knows every holiday season they bring out those commercials of her running through a forest or a hotel."

Spears' people loved the idea, although Willey did have to explain the meaning of 'Mo, which is a term of endearment within the gay community. "Britney herself wanted to make sure that the punch line — which is the word 'Mo — wasn't offensive in any way," Willey said.

A spokesperson for Spears told MTV News the singer was not available for comment on the spoof.

Logo shot Britney's "One spray and the gays will run your way!" line on the Los Angeles set of her video for "If U Seek Amy" and filled in the rest with footage from music videos and a documentary. The package will open the NewNowNext show as an imaginary message from the program's sponsor.

Britney Spears got to work filming the music video for her single "Radar" at a polo field in LA yesterday. The pop star, who had a new tan to show off fresh from her bikini vacation with the boys, squeezed in the shoot before she kicks off her European tour in London on Wednesday. The the video is being directed by Daniel Meyers, and so far it looks like it will be showing off the ladylike side of Britney — though we all know she can transition from nice to naughty at the drop of a hat.

It was a traumatic scene that no child should ever have to see, but one that was replayed over and over again in the young life of Britney Spears.

Her father Jamie was shouting, her mother Lynne lay crumpled in a heap on the kitchen floor. Then, her dad begging for forgiveness at her feet, Lynne would give him yet another chance.

Such distressing, emotionally-charged episodes were all too familiar during Britney’s childhood.

Her fans saw a beautiful, smiling girl who told sugar-coated tales of an idyllic childhood. But her close family knew that the reality was, sadly and starkly, very different.

Britney Jean Spears was not born into a stable home. She was born into a dysfunctional disordered one because of her father’s alcoholic rages.

The rows and fights she witnessed left her a bundle of nerves that others, including her own mother, would mistake for natural excitement or energy.

Her Uncle Willie – Jamie’s brother – bore witness to some of the ugly incidents.

He says: “One time Jamie was drunk and tried to drive off with Britney in the car. She was no more than five years old.

“I tried to stop him, so I reached into the truck to grab the keys from the ignition and he punched me. We got right into it there by the car, fighting in front of her.

“Britney was jumping up and down, crying. Lynne had to run out to get her inside.

“We Spears men are known for fighting. If Britney happened to be there, so be it.

“Another time I was at the house and Jamie walked in drunk and called Lynne a bad name. She was in the kitchen drinking water and he grabbed the glass, walked into the lounge and just hurled it. It was rough, but the sad thing is that it became normal life.

“At first, Britney was a scared child and you’d catch her crying but she reached the stage when she just walked off, as if it wasn’t happening. And as she got older, she would scream and curse at her parents, trying to get them to stop fighting.”

When yet another row erupted at their modest three-bedroom bungalow in Kentwood, Louisiana, Britney would seek refuge in her aunt Chanda’s trailer, parked nearby.

Chanda recalls Britney as sweet but timid. A girl made quiet and withdrawn by all the hollering and verbal abuse – until she had to perform.

Britney’s need to perform allowed her to escape the pain and anxiety of home.

Although she is prone to over-analysing and appointing self-blame for her past troubles, her parents had their problems long before she was born.

In fact, her mother filed for divorce in 1980, a year before Britney was even conceived. Those legal papers reveal the flip side of Britney’s childhood, offering insights into the adult she would turn into and the father who would become her legal guardian in 2008.

Lynne’s divorce application was on the grounds of adultery. According to the petition, Jamie cheated on Christmas Day, 1979.

The legal papers allege that Jamie was seen in a Kentwood bar with a local woman and was “observed hugging, kissing and fondling this woman”. From there, Lynne writes, they went to the Spears’ trailer: “Where he committed adultery during the late evening hours of December 25 and the early morning hours of December 26.”

Britney Spears' dad is ready to release his daughter into the wild again -- we've learned the conservatorship may be coming to an end.

Sources tell us Jamie Spears will ask the court to review the terms of the conservatorship after her concert tour ends in November. Jamie can't ask the judge to end it -- just to review it. The judge then decides if Britney should regain control of her life.

We're told Jamie thinks Britney is ready to roll on her own. He has made her life his full time job since February, 2008.

Fact is ... if it weren't for the tour, given Britney's progress, the judge might already have made the decision to undo the conservatorship. The various vendors were promised under their contracts that the conservatorship would stay in tact throughout the tour.

Yesterday, Britney's official site confirmed the news of a Britney performance. Today, however, their update has changed.

It now says Britney is just APPEARING at the Teen Choice Awards - no mention of a performance.

UPDATE: Britney is not performing at the 2009 TCA's, confirmed by Access Hollywood:

Britney Spears hasn't appeared on The Late Show in nearly three years, but Tuesday she'll deliver one of the show's classic bits: the Top 10 list.

Spears last appeared on David Letterman's show when she made a surprise cameo in November 2006. The singer, who recently finished the European leg of her Circus tour, begins another string of concerts in America on Aug. 20.
