Britney's New Video Disaster

"Looking dead-eyed and disorientated, Britney Spears lost it during a shambolic video shoot and ended up “sobbing hysterically”. At one point sad Britney, 25, squatted in her torn fishnets, clutched her Yorkie puppy and stared vacantly into space.

An onlooker said: “She was completely uncooperative and left everyone hanging about when she went for an hour’s massage — twice.

“She just didn’t want to cooperate and was snotty and rude to everyone — behaving like a complete and utter spoilt brat.

“When she wasn’t pissing people off, Britney was smoking like a chimney.

“She didn’t eat or drink anything other than can after can of Red Bull. She could have drank 20 of them all told.’

And the wheels fell off completely when Britney attempted her raunchy pole dance scene.

The source added: “She had a problem with the extras being about when she did the pole dance.

“She was shy or embarrassed or something and she really started struggling with the whole thing.

“You could see she was getting a bit wobbly but no one expected her to throw a complete fit.

“Suddenly she was in floods of tears and stormed off set. She eventually came back but was sobbing hysterically.

“All her make-up had run. By now it was nearly midnight and the director just called things to an end and sent people home.

“It was a total shambles.”

Come to mama: Days after losing custody of her two kids, Britney Spears found some solace by reuniting with estranged mom Lynne Spears.

"Brit really needed her mom," a source tells PEOPLE, "So Lynne flew out and they met."

Spears will be needing all the support she can get. Documents released Thursday regarding her heated custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline revealed stricter measures, particularly placed on her.

With regard to her supervised visitation rights with her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, the document says: "the monitor shall terminate visitation immediately if any conduct or action by [Spears] endangers the minor children."

Before their next hearing on Oct. 26, she must complete three joint counseling sessions with Federline, three individual sessions, and twice-weekly random testing for drugs and alcohol.


The Mother-Daughter Meeting

Sources say Lynne and Britney's younger sister Jamie Lynn flew from Kentwood, La., to Los Angeles Friday evening. On arrival at LAX, the two were mobbed by photographers.

Jamie Lynn, wearing eyeglasses, kept her head low, covered by the hood of her sweatshirt. Despite the attention, the women made a quiet exit from the terminal, declining to comment or to acknowledge the group.

Around 3 a.m., Lynne paid a visit to her daughter's Beverly Hills home before driving the two of them to Spears's new Malibu pad.

The mother-daughter pair had a falling out back in June, when Spears handed her mother a reportedly upsetting letter. According to TMZ, the letter asked that Lynne stay away from Spears's sons if she is taking any medications that might cause her to be impaired.

Spears told reporters at the time, "I'm praying for her right now. [I hope] she gets all the help she needs," Spears said.

Britney Spears is-- as we speak -- visiting with her children at her home in Malibu.

An eyewitness tells TMZ that Sean P. and little Jayden were escorted into the house this morning, along with what appears to be the court ordered monitor. Britney is now walking around her gated community, dressed in a super short pink mini-dress, with the boys and the same nanny that was with the kids at Kevin's house.

Her hair is in a ponytail and she's talking on her cell phone. Quality time!

A court-ordered-sober Britney Spears applied for a new job on Thursday as a ... wait for it ... bartender!!

Sources inside the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. tell TMZ Brit checked in Thursday and at around 10:30 PM went downstairs and started talking with a bartender.

We're told Spears told the bartender she wanted to do what she did -- then asked for and obtained an application from the night manager to work in the hotel's "Cameo Bar."

We're told the application is currently with Human Resources. The hotel website says the bar "serves imported and California wines, premium well drinks and appetizers ... signature drinks include Blood Orange, Key Lime and Raspberry Lemon Drop martinis."

This might be the worst possible gig for a mother trying to regain custody of her children, who is required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

Spears checked out the next morning. No word yet if the hotel is considering hiring Brit Brit to pour their booze.

TMZ has learned Britney Spears plans to go to court today with her lawyers to ask the judge to expand her visitation rights to overnight visits with her kids. We're told Spears was urged by her lawyers to attend the hearing, scheduled for 8:30 AM in downtown Los Angeles.

We've also learned Spears has now had several clean drug tests. Brit's lawyers will use these tests and other evidence to make their case. They've told Britney her presence will show the judge how much she cares about the kids -- she finally gets it and plans to show.

Currently, Spears has monitored visitation -- the kids are deposited in the morning and returned to K-Fed in the early evening.

UPDATE: K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan issued the following statement to TMZ: "The fact that a party, one week after a full court hearing, attempts to change the orders of the court, in the absence of an emergency or without any new facts, suggests a continued lack of respect and understanding for what an order of the court actually means."

TMZ has confirmed Britney Spears booked herself with the LAPD tonight on misdemeanor charges of hit and run.

Wearing a black mini dress, black leather jacket and sporting silver chains around her neck, she walked into the Van Nuys jail tonight and did the deed.

LAPD told us "at approximately 9:25 PM Miss Britney Spears checked into the Van Nuys County Jail for a court ordered booking. She was put through standard booking procedures which included booking photographs, fingerprinting and collection of information. Britney was at all time cooperative in the process. She was there approximately 45 minutes." We're also told she was never put in a holding cell, and she was polite and courteous to the officers. We're also told cops offered her the back entrance -- but she declined, opting to go in the front door. Fox News 11 caught Brit on her way in and out of the jail.

The L.A.City Attorney charged Spears in September with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a valid California license. Both charges are misdemeanors, each carrying a maximum of 6 months in jail. The charges stem from an August 6 incident in L.A. where Spears was in a private parking lot in the San Fernando Valley and rammed into a parked car.

But forgetting to give the Drug Testing people your information to get in touch with you, especially when YOU KNOW that this is what it is going to take to get your kids back, or at least keep your visitation rights. When that is what it takes....you don't FORGET anything......

Some good news:Well, it sounds like the revocation of Britney Spears' visitation rights isn't going to be enforced for too much longer - even Kevin Federline's lawyer is saying that she ought to be seeing the kids soon! People quotes Mark Vincent Kaplan as saying that Britney "has complied with the part of the order [causing the suspension]" and that the Queen B and K-Fed are "just about" to start their co-parenting therapy sessions. The magazine even thinks she'll regain the privilege before their next scheduled court hearing on October 26th

It might be Sir Ben Kingsley's morning mantra, but Britney Spears' "Gimme More" isn't exactly burning up the radio, and pre-sales of her new album, "Blackout," are more than a little bleak.

That's according to FOX News, which says that "Gimme More" is "dead" on the radio, citing trade paper Radio & Records, which also reports that the single is at the bottom of every chart. Meanwhile, Brit's big comeback album, due in just a week and a half, is withering at 76 on Amazon.com, which suggests weak advance interest. "Gimme More" is currently #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.

itunes is a good indication as well, but just as the internet does not speak so much for the masses, as gives a glimpse, ipod is the same IMO. The radio non-play around here where we have the largest top 40 radio station in the country, and its not being played, speaks volumes....

The singer on Saturday was spotted driving with her children in Studio City, Calif., in her white Mercedes convertible, which was decorated with pumpkins on the dashboard.

A presumed court-appointed monitor was seated in the front seat, with her sons in the rear.

On Wednesday, L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon had temporarily suspended her visitation rights. A source close to Spears told PEOPLE the judge removed her rights after the pop star was unreachable by a cell phone designated for court-related scheduling.

On Thursday, Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said he expected Spears would get visitation reinstated soon because "she has complied with the part of the order [causing the suspension]."

Lawyers for both sides did not respond to calls for comment.

Spears and Federline are both required to show up for their next hearing on Oct. 26.

The hearing is over.

Britney Spears has left the courtroom, escorted by her attorneys and several Sheriff's deputies. Britney's visitation has been extended over the weekend, and the judge took the bigger custody issue under submission.

K-Fed's attorney spoke to reporters after the hearing, and told the group that the court will issue a written ruling sometime Monday or Tuesday.

The judge shot down Kev's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan's request to bar Brit from being able to have 24-hour visits with her kids, but the judge found the request without warrant. All other custody matters will be decided at a later date.

Britney left the courtroom, apparently in a "great mood," according to her pal Sam Lutfi, despite what other outlets are reporting! They're on their way to dinner to celebrate now!

- Britney is not child-centered
- “It seems that her choices are more dependent upon what she wants to do at any given time rather than what would be more enjoyable for the children.”

- ”The environment in the house ranged from chaotic to somber with little communication at all.”
- Britney has a “lack of general attention at times.”
- Spears had “no interest in talking to or utilizing [the parenting coach’s] guidance”

Per the court, Britney still has to submit to drug testing, twice a week, despite her lawyer’s best efforts to get that removed.

A missed test is a failed test.

Britney Blows Off "Blackout" Promo Push

Britney Spears' new album, "Blackout," might be rocking the charts and even the critics, but one person who doesn't seem to care how well it does ... is Britney herself.

Rush and Molloy report that the popmama's label, Jive Records, "has officially given up" on making Brit do anything to support her album release -- no plans for a tour, no interviews, photo shoots, public appearances, etc. "This album could've been so much bigger with Britney involved," says a source.

No doubt Brit's got other things on her mind -- like trying to figure out what to do with all that free time away from her kids. Jive said it's behind Brit "absolutely."

Although I believe she is wearing a costume, I wouldn’t be surprised if homegirl just decided to go to the Green Door bar last night looking like that and it being Halloween was just a coincidence. I am not sure what look she was going for, but if it was trashy and ridiculous, then she scored big time! What a mess. In tow was Alli and Britney Spears’ friend Lucy Walsh. Oh and, Britney is going back to blond. You can see that she’s started to slowly add more and more highlights to her hair.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD is conducting an investigation into a traffic mishap Friday, when Britney Spears ran over an L.A. County Sheriff deputy's foot.

We're told the "traffic collision complaint" was filed by the Sheriff's Department and the LAPD is conducting an "active investigation." We're told the LAPD is looking at the possibility of hit and run.

The incident occurred as Brit was leaving the L.A. County Courthouse after her custody hearing.

I think Brittney Spears is talentless in the mother department, living department, and human being department, and even the musical department, but I agree with the critics. This cd is freaking awesome! The producers really came up with some great beats.

Just when it seemed safe to write off Britney Spears (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21476892/#) as a punch line only capable of entertaining people through tabloid escapades, she goes and gets all musically relevant on us.
“Blackout,” her first studio album in four years, is not only a very good album, it’s her best work ever — a triumph, with not a bad song to be found on the 12 tracks.
Granted, a Spears rave should be put in its proper context — it’s not like we’re talking Bob Dylan (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21476892/#) here. Spears is a lightweight singer who only flourishes when she has great songs and great producers to supplement her minimal vocal talent.

But when she has that help, she’s fierce. And she gets that boost on every single track on “Blackout,” a sizzling, well-crafted, electro-pop dancefest that should return her to pop’s elite.
This is a shocker, given all the lowlights Spears has given us this year. From her embarrassing MTV Video Music Awards (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21476892/#) performance to her bizarre public antics to allegations that she’s an irresponsible parent, Spears has been a walking disaster. It seems amazing that she even found her way to a recording studio, let alone did anything of value while in it.
But Spears emerges on “Blackout” as the antithesis of her tabloid persona — confident, sensual, and in control.
I got my eye on you,” she coos on one of the album’s best tracks, “Radar,” a sexy techno groove that you can’t help but bounce to — a feeling that permeates all of “Blackout’s” tracks. You won’t find any saccharine ballads or fluffy pop on this disc — it’s all about generating heat on the dance floor (and if Spears has shown us anything in the last year, it’s that she knows how to party).
On the aptly titled “Freakshow,” produced by Danja (who worked on Justin Timberlake’s “FutureSex/LoveSounds”), Spears gets voyeuristic with a tantalizing promise to get wild in the club. The hypnotic “Get Naked (I Got A Plan),” also produced by Danja, features Spears breathlessly asking, “What I gotta do to make you move my body” before demanding, “take it off, take it off, take it off.”
It’s not all about grinding to the music, though. On rock-tinged “Piece of Me,” produced by Bloodshy & Avant, she defiantly addresses her critics: “I’m Mrs. Bad Media Karma, another day another drama ... I’m Mrs. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, I’m Mrs. ‘Oh My God That Britney’s Shameless.’ ” And on the slow-burn, Neptunes-produced “Why Should I Be Sad,” the album’s last track, she cops to heartbreak but refuses to let it get her down, a rare vulnerable moment.

Listening to “Blackout” is not only an energetic release, it’s also a relief: No, Spears hasn’t completely lost it, and yes, her career has a flicker of fire left — actually much, much more. But with all the damage Spears has done and continues to do to her public image, will anyone outside her core fan base (and who knows what that consists of these days) care anymore?
This album is the first, great step in making that happen.

Billboard has revised their charts - allowing records sold at only one retailer to appear on their lists - and as a result, the Eagles officially have the #1 album in America this week, according to Billboard and Nielsen Soundscan.

Britney’s CD, which otherwise would have been in the top slot, came in at #2.

In other bad news for Spears, her latest, Blackout, only sold 290,000 copies since its release on October 30th. Based on projections, the album was expected to sell 350,000.

Carrie Underwood’s latest CD, by contrast, sold 527,000 copes last week, its debut.

The Eagles’ latest disc, a double CD, is their first album of original material in 28 years. And it’s available only at Wal-Mart.

About the change in their chart policy, which allowed the veteran rockers to claim the #1 spot, Billboard says, “We know that some retailers will be uncomfortable with this policy, but it was inevitable that Billboard’s charts would ultimately widen the parameters of to reflect changes that are unfolding in music distribution. We would have preferred to make this decision earlier, but only became aware within the last 24 hours that Wal-Mart would be willing to share the data for this title with Nielsen SoundScan.”

I saw that. It doesn't seem like it can be completely real, almost as if she is trying to make fun of herself. Listen to some of those songs and you have to think how can someone be that bad and really have a career, computer enhanced voice or not. Also she is really out of breath which probably, if these are legit, would mean she was dancing. I am in no way saying she is a good singer, I am just saying that she has sung live before and it was bad, not that bad though. How old is 15 . . . reeeally? or in this case, how old is 14, really? we look at 14 year olds as innocent, impressionable minds, but some of the stuff I would think about or do at that age wasn't much different from my way of thinking now (of course now, I have a lot more life experience) . . .

I have to agree with you. Not only Hayden, but a lot of female celebrities look great from all angles. We just have to remember that few of them have the level of fame and have been in so many misfortunes like Britney (caused or not by her, yeah, she's a little retarded, but that's beside the point). They have pictures taken, yes, but mostly not when they're hitting Starbucks or buying a Cheetos. Britney's not a normal person trying to be a pop-star. She's a fallen pop-star who's trying to get back(I'd say her label is trying to get her back more than herself). She's clearly not in a good mental state. She's in the middle of battle to get her kids and until some weeks ago, she couldn't care less to what the judge said. That goes to show how troubled her mind is/was...she thinks her lips are more important than her awful hair and so on.

TMZ has learned Britney Spears will finally take the oath and have her deposition taken -- and it's happening tomorrow at 10 AM.

Sources say Britney will roll to the Los Angeles offices of K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan. Her legal team, which includes Anne Kiley and Tara Scott, will be there to raise objections -- and expect lots of them.

Those sources say the depo could last several days. Kaplan has been trying to get Brit under oath for nearly a year and he'll be asking a range of questions relating to child custody and, we believe, spousal support.

TMZ will present live streaming video of Brit's arrival beginning at 9:00 AM PT.

Sources tell TMZ Britney Spears is defying the legal process and has decided not to attend her deposition.

One source directly in contact with Britney tells us, "There's a million people outside of her house. She can see all the other madness (presumably she's looking at our live streaming video). The anxiety is making her sick. It's just too crazy."

According to K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, Britney Spears has some sort of medical condition or illness that prevented her from showing up to today's court-ordered deposition.

As for when another depo will happen, Kaplan wouldn't say. But he did say he will seek some sort of relief from the court. Someone's pissed!

And Spideyboy, I never wore a dress but if someone took a pic of my draws 3-4 times and I don't do anything to stop it, like wear a jacket over my lap when getting out or anything, then people like me wouldn't criticize her. She's doing this all for attention but she's crazy at the sametime. I have no sympathy for her. If a woman on the street did all the things she did to her kids, people would be crying for her head!
