Duane Martin Comes Out: Ends Eleven-Year Marriage With Tisha Campbell

Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell thought their love was a match made in heaven. By Hollywood’s standards, it was. Married August 17, 1996, the couple transcended the norm for celebrity marriages, most lasting on average about three years. But not theirs. Their nuptials are coming to an end.

The 37-year-old Martin announced to his wife a love affair with another male actor. This news devastated Tisha, 38. “It was the biggest shock of my life,” Campbell says. “I’ve heard women say they didn’t know their man was gay or bi and I wondered how they didn’t know. But I really didn’t have a clue.” Tisha expressed outrage but she was no saint either. She also had previously acknowledged engaging in an alternative lifestyle during their marriage. The couple has a six year old son, Zen.

I think they're both good. Ya Never Know would have been a bit out of place if in the film. It's very Broadway. I think Some Fun Now is nice adaptation of that song, and it its the film better.

I just YouTubed the original ending. I personally would've preferred an ending where the plant didn't take over the world (even if it meant Seymore died taking him out). Although I do give them props for making it look like the plant killed Audrey. I read the script back when I was doing this show in high school (I played the second largest plant. Big enough for me to sit inside a hot suit, but small enough for Seymore to still have to saw off limbs to feed it), and it seemed pretty clear that Audrey had simply passed out from taking a Sominex sleeping pill before Seymore fed her to the plant (the main reason I hate the "everybody dies" ending).

Think about it. In the scene when Audrey comes to the shop, she sings a song about how "[She] couldn't sleep / [She] took a Sominex." Despite taking the sleeping pill, she was still compelled to come to the shop, where the plant tries to lure her in and eat her. After Seymore rescues her, the pill kicks in, she starts to go to sleep (thinking she's dieing because the bimbo forgot she took a Sominex despite just singing about it), and Seymore feeds her to the plant without checking to see if she can be saved.
