Jessica Alba Mouths Off

Add Jessica Alba to the list of celebs urging young people to vote this election season.

The starlet will appear in Declare Yourself's new "Only You Can Silence Yourself" PSA campaign, in which celebs and real people are shown crying and with their mouths forced shut.

In 2004, the campaign was launched with a photo of Christina Aguilera in which her lips appeared tied together with leather string, while screws and bolts were used on Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett.

"Only you can silence yourself," reads the tagline for the campaign. "Make them hear you. Register to vote now."

Alba was photographed on Friday in Los Angeles by celebrity lenser Mark Liddell. It is still being decided how her mouth will be manipulated shut for the campaign, according to a rep for Declare Yourself.

Alba's ads will appear in magazines in the fall.

Red Mile Entertainment's video game adaptation of the noir film, Sin City, will be getting another set of developers to prepare its Christmas 2009 release.

Formerly in development with Transmission Games, Gamespot reports that Red Mile Entertainment changed the title's developers "quite a long time ago...to an as-yet-unannounced development house". A rep from Red Mile said to Gamespot that the former Sin City video game developers will just be focused on the flight combat simulation title, Heroes Over Europe, due out sometime next year for the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Nintendo Wii and PC platforms.


Sin City will be utilizing Epic Games's Unreal Engine 3 for its visual appeal. Meanwhile, the sequel to the original film, Sin City 2, is scheduled to be released sometime in 2010, bearing the same director and cast. You may now commence your Jessica Alba aspirations.

Sin City, published by Red Mile Entertainment, will be available for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3.

Jessica Alba, who appears in a in new bondage-inspired campaign for the voter group Declare Yourself, isn't afraid to employ a little shock value for a cause she believes in.

"I think it is important for young people to be aware of the need we have in this country to get them more active politically," says Alba. "People respond to things that are shocking."

The dramatic image "really resonates" with the issue of voting, according to the 27-year-old star. "If you don't register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself."

Of taking the photos, shot by photographer Marc Liddel, Alba says, "It didn't freak me out at all. What I like about Marc's work is that he tells a story and brings real emotion to his pictures."

On a lighter note, Alba also has plenty to say about her 3-month-old baby Honor. "So far [motherhood] is the best thing ever," she says. "It is exhausting but way more fulfilling than anything I have done. Everything I do now is so much more meaningful because of her."

In a Q&A session, he said, "I cant' talk about my projects, because I don't believe a movie is real until I see the title on the screen. There are many things that can go wrong." He then added, "But I can tell you that I'm very close to begin Sin City 2 with Robert Rodriguez. We have to arrange a few things and we'll be back in action."

The second film adapted from Miller's graphic novel of the same title, "Sin City 2", reportedly will based on the second Sin City story entitled "A Dame to Kill For". It offers the early story of Dwight McCarthy when Ava Lord, his former lover, returns to his life with a dark intention forcing him to face all sorts of problems. In the first movie, McCarthy character was depicted by Clive Owen who will return to reprise the role.

Beside Owen, other stars coming back include Jessica Alba, Brittany Murphy, Mickey Rourke, Michael Clarke Duncan and Rosario Dawson. The sequel co-directed, co-produced and co-written by Miller and Rodriguez is expected to be finished for 2010 release.

Jessica Alba will be arriving on the set of her new movie with her baby daughter in tow.

The actress told reporters at the New York premiere of Madonna's directorial debut Filth And Wisdom that she wants to spend as much time with her four-month-old child as possible.

The story follows a West Texas sheriff (Affleck) and his downward spiral from a boring small-town cop into a ruthless, sociopathic murderer. Alba plays a prostitute (awesome). The novel was made into a 1976 film starring Stacy Keach

As much as I've had a history in jokingly pushing the chauvinistic agenda in my avatars (to hilarious backlash from females, I might add), I was actually not referring to that with my comments.

Alba has not impressed me with a single role of hers, and I've seen most of 'em. So now when I see her co-starring alongside Casey Affleck, who is a brilliant young actor with a number of fantastic performances under his belt...I'm befuddled. Beyond belief. She may very well have impressed someone during auditions, but I'm doubting it. She's been coasting on her looks from day one. Evidenced by how little cred she has as an actress.

Has nothing to do with her being an attractive female and thus, me not seeing her as anything more than a sex object. There are many gorgeous women in Hollywood who have skills to back up beauty. Abbie Cornish, Marion Cotillard, Evan Rachel Wood, Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, Teresa Palmer, Bryce Dallas Howard, Kelli Garner....just to name a few. I realize being a female you are in the coveted position of criticizing males' tastes in actresses, but you should take note that we are not all sophomoric pigs who solely crave tits & ass (though they are welcomed).
