Tom Snyder (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0811571/), who hosted NBC's late-night The Tomorrow Show (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0158435/) from 1972-1982, then returned in 1995 as host of The Late Late Show (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112043/) on CBS for three years, died Sunday in San Francisco at age 71. In 2005, he disclosed on his website that he was battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He said at the time that doctors had told him that some people diagnosed with the condition had lived with it for 30 years. "Considering I will be 69 years old next month," he wrote, "I ain't looking for 30 years, but 15 more would be nice."

Yeah I heard this this morning and it really sucks. He was really cool and funny and I don't think he ever did a bad show. I'm still going to do my imprssion of him though....he was awesome.

I often wish that older, more talented celebrities like him or Don Knotts or Connery and Nicholson could live forever and that God (or whoever you happen to pray to) would instead take the Paris Hilton's etc of this world.

R.I.P. He seemed like a cool guy. My prayers and condolences to his family.
