Not really a recession, just a slightly slower week, lol. And a lot of people are in a strange position now, because we have mass arcs approaching, and all the talk of ending the season makes people unsure what they should do etc. No worries.

ULTIMATE MARVEL RPG SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name: Master Bruce

Character you would like to play: Wolverine/James "Logan" Howlett

Powers and a brief description of the character in proper English: With a rare substance called adamantium fused to his skeleton, Wolverine is as durable as he is deadly. This dense metal also gives Logan a set of razor sharp claws, that extend from his knuckles, which proves to be Logan's most resourceful tool. In addition to this, Logan is a mutant, with the abilities of regeneration and a keen sense of smell.

A loner and a scruff, Logan is an amnesiac who isn't exactly clear on both his past or his future. Bitter and sarcastic, typically leaving behind any sort of curteous manners, Wolverine proves his worth best on the battlefield, where he typically 'scraps' with an adversary... until only he's the one standing.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. He's my favorite X-Man.

2. Ultimate Logan isn't as challenging to write for as 616 Logan, I think.

3. I needed some way to get back into an active routine with this RPG, and being apart of a team could potentially be my ticket back. I've tried the Ultimates... now, I want to try the X-Men.

What can you bring to this game? I usually strive to make each of my characters as diverse and different as they possibly can be, so with Logan, I'll definitely be doing that. I also hope to bring some entertaining interaction with the rest of the X-Men, aswell as the general ruthlessness associated with the character. (I mean, hell, he debuted in this universe having killed an aligator by himself.)

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as needed. Honestly, this is the hardest quest you could ask me.

I would, except for the fact that... due to the trouble I'm having conjuring up a sample, thus reflecting how I'd do in the actual game itself, I think I'm gonna have to withdraw my application. It'd be fun to play Logan again, someday, but for now, I can't think of anywhere I'd take the character. Sorry to be a bother. :csad:

Powers and a brief description of the character in proper English: Logan, AKA Wolverine was born into this world as James Howlett, loving son, kind hearted gentleman, and tormented child.....all of this....has been long forgotten. He is now known only as Logan or Wolverine, by himself and almost all others. Very few know anything about his past, save for the divine entity known as the Phoenix and several members of the government.

Wolverine has been a member of the X-Men, lead by Charles Xavier for several years now. At one time he stood on the other side of the line with Eric Leinsher, AKA Magneto. Upon understanding Magneto's and Xavier's true goal and intentions he decided a change was in order.

Wolverine has been gifted with an extraordinary healing factor that allows him to recover from almost all wounds instantly, as well as superhuman animal keen senses and instincts.

Logan has developed many differnt bonds during his time as an X-Man, and perhaps the most interesting is the Father daughter relationship with the mutant known as The Dazzler or now as X-23 by the military. Upon recieving a blood transfer from Wolverine she began to show similar traits that he posesed. Before this effect could have a chance to possibly wear off she was captured by the rogue government agency that initialy had control of Wolverine.....Weapon X. Upon her capture she was experimented on and augmented with Adimatium, becoming the female incarnation of Wolverine with all of her initial powers still intact. After several epic battles and salvations Wolverine and Dazzler have formed a bond that is very difficult to describe, one built of the mutual aknoledgment of pain and suffering and understanding of one another.


Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. These shouldn't be to hard for anyone who knows me to figure out. I love the character....hes just like me.

2. I've played him before, here and in other RPG's, and have probobly the largest Wolverine track record.

3. I wana do him some real justice and help further some ideas that I implemented long ago.

Its bout four o'clock in the evenin....I sit still in the stinkin crowded room. The smell is enough to make someone without my senses hurl on the floor....but with my kinda life, you get used to it. Another one of em stands up and the room starts clappin. He staggers up to the podium, trippin over his own damn feet. His hands are shakin, he can barely speak, but somehow gets out the words....

"Hi......my name is...um....C-Carl...."

The room responds,

"HI CARL!"

"I....I'm...an alchoholic."

The room claps. Carl stops shakin, he suddenly gets a big smile on his face and turns to walk off the stage. I stand up and walk towards the stage, grabing Carl by the shoulder.....

"Well I just wanted to stop by and lets you all know that.....well I'm an alchoholic....hell I'm more than that, I've also killed alot of people, hmm.....I don't remember ever payin taxes, and I'm pretty sure I'm an illegal alien....on top of that I think I may been on a few most wanted lists in a few differnt countries for bulls**t propoganda....But I aint never done anything that I didn't believe in, unless I was forced to.....Point is I got a bad rap, but I....beleive it or not....am the good guy......But ya see CARL here....well, he just got a standing ovation for being an alchohlic....and go him for admitin that...but what he didn't tell ya was.....well he likes to beat on his kids, just like he liked to beat on his wife....who just happened to disapear last year.....who's remains were just located in his back yard....along with her unborn son..."

I reach into my pocket and grab a file, throwing it into the crowd.

"The reason aint none of you heard about this is because Carl here is Carl Jr. to The biggest Judge in this town. Judge Carl Dawson, who just had all this evidence thrown out......So....seein as how the justice system in this town didn't think that what he did was wrong cuz he was the judge's son.....I figured I'd let you have him."

I say throwing Carl into the crowd. Before I can even get off stage I can hear people screaming at him, saying that they knew his wife, calling him a monster. People who were his freinds, his neighbors, even some police men....all turning on him, grabing at him, hitting him.......I walk out the front door as I hear Carl screamin. I light up a stogie and keep walkin......

"If people know who the true monsters are...than maybe they'll stop callin us monsters." I say to myself as I take a deep drag from my cigar, and walk off down the cold streets of Dallas Texas.

Byrd this is all my fault, I contacted Canuk and asked if he'd like to pick up Logan. Its just you were saying that you were thinking about dropping Logan and than MB came in with an app so I assumed that you had officially dropped him.

Character you would like to play: Heimdall

Powers and a brief description of the character in proper English: Heimdall is the guardian of the Norse gods, keeping watch over the bridge between Asgard and Midgard, Bifrost. The perfect guardian, Heimdall requires no sleep, can hear grass grow and can see the end of the world. He possesses the typical powers of the gods, such as superhuman strength, stamina, speed, agility and durability. He is generally stronger and more durable than most of the gods, matched only by Thor and Odin. Legends foretell that Heimdall will sound his horn, Gjallarhorn, alerting the Gods to the final war, Ragnarok.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. He is my favorite of the Norse Gods.

2. I want to bring another one to this RPG, seeing as Thor has been the sole representative of their world so far.

3. From reading the Prose Edda recently, I couldn't decide if I wanted to apply as Heimdall or Baldur. They both have great sets of powers and great stories, but I'll try my hand at Heimdall and see what happens.

What can you bring to this game?
I don't keep people waiting, post regularly, and hope I am a decent writer.

"Sir, would you to supersize that?"

He felt weak. Like a stiff breeze would knock him over. Glancing down at his body, Heimdall saw himself dressed in attire unfamiliar to him. Gone was his armor, his weapons. Gone were his abilites as well, he felt.

"Sir?"

"Where do I stand?"

Heimdall asked furiously of the young man. Shaken, the boy stared at the large, bearded man in front of him. "Uh..T.this is McDonald's sir."

"McDonalds. I have never heard of such a place. Guide me, boy, to the land of Fjalarr and Galarr, I have matters to attend there."

"Uhm..There's a Burger King across the street.."

Byrd this is all my fault, I contacted Canuk and asked if he'd like to pick up Logan. Its just you were saying that you were thinking about dropping Logan and than MB came in with an app so I assumed that you had officially dropped him.

Dude its not your fault at all, everyone thought that he had droped him. Hell I don't think he realy knows if he did or not lol. Anyways bro, again, not your fault so don't take that burden on your shoulders....okay?

Byrd, if you wana keep Wolvie than fine, keep him. I don't consider to have even gotten the job yet, so I have no claim to him until you releinquish him. If you wana keep playing him than by all means thats your right......but, I don't think you've made a post with him in a very long time and you have to realize that some peoples story lines are dependent on him, like Venom's as Angel. Wolverine is the biggest name in X-Men, and if your going to play him than either keep up with the people that need you or step back like you were thinking. Its not fair to leave them in limbo, believe me, I know, I've been there and had to give up the character before.....I know how bad it sux. This is coming from the guy who established Wolverine in this RPG. He was the hardest character I ever had to let go of because of how much work I put in on him.

With that last part in mind, if you do continue with him.....please make a stride to at least touch on some of the things I established in my time as Logan, cuz it kinda feels like all that hard work was blown off. Wolverine is not solely an arrogant a**hole, he can be at times, but even in Ultimate he is MUCH more than that, and he SHOULD be a VERY hard character to play. Please keep that in mind, review his history here and allow for growth from all of the previously established story lines. That is again IF you wish to continue playing him, if not than I will still be glad to.

Thanks bro, I'm glad you feel the same way. I just find this whole thing bull****. I was going to just hand the character back over to him without a fight, but after finding out that he honestly doesn't give a Sh** about him at all, I can't let this slide. God I wish I was still a Mod here. I hope that some of the mods for this RPG can see whats going on here and understand what I'm saying.

Ya know what, I don't actualy remeber giving up rights to my old AGM position, so if its cool with Venom and the others I'd like to throw my hat back in the ring and say, as an AGM, that you are probobly one of the most arrogant, ill manered, disrespectfull posters we have ever had in this RPG. I've been here since the begining kid, and your gona talk to me like some spoiled brat child? I don't think so bub! So....if its cool with the others, than I would like to throw in my vote as an AGM that you suffer a serious repremand here in this RPG. Whatever that is would obviously have to be taken in by a vote.

Point is, you don't deserve the character, and you don't deserve to even play here. I'm just hoping that everyone else has seen the kind of person you realy are.

How truly arrogant are you? You left, remember? Your signature was "in temporary retirement." Therefore, you renounced any titles you had held previously. This is not a difficult idea to process. You come back and automatically think that you're an AGM? Head's up: you aren't. Powers and a brief description of the character in proper English:
Stephen Grant has the stats of a normal human who engages in strenuous regular exercise. It's his other half, Marc Spector who benifits from the super-soldier experiment Grant volunteered for in exchange for clearing his name of a murder he was framed for. Grant is a former Navy SEAL and is an expert in all forms of hand-to-hand combat and weaponry. He carries a variety of weapons and instruments that he uses to either battle crime or commit crimes (depending on which personality is currently in control of Moon Knight).
Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. He's a very interesting character whom I have yet to play as in any RPG and I've grown intersted in him after reading several recent issues of Moon Knight.

2. I've always wanted to play a hero with psychological problems.

3. After SSF's mention of an Ultimate Marvel Knights in the works, who wouldn't want to play as such a badass choice?

Stephen Grant peered into the busy New York streets, his white hoodie doing little to protect him from the cold rain that fell upon his shadowy form.

"Why am I doing this?" he replied to Marc Spector who, in Grant's mind, was now perched next to him.

"Because you've got NOTHING else in this pathetic thing you call a life, Grant. What ELSE will you do? Go back to the SEALS? HA!"

Stephen tried to think of some way to dissprove the smug Marc Spector... But he couldn't. Marc was right. Robbing that man down in the alley below was the only way he was going to afford a place to stay. Suddenly, two other men dressed in green and black approacked the other man and began harrasing him. Stephen couldn't hear what was going on. he didn't need to. He sprang into action.

Grant leaped down onto the fire-escape below and down into the alley, all three men were startled to see the hooded stranger appear amongst them, giving Stephen enough time to disarm the first mugger of the knife he wielded. The other thug, not carrying anything, simply swung at Stephen. Grant leaned away from the blow effortlessly and he grabbed the thug by the arm, and snapped it in two. The mugger screamed in pain while the other on took off. Saved, the man who was almost Grant's victim smiled and thanked his savior.

"How can I ever repay you, young man?"

Grant was about to reply... but Marc Spector spoke first.

"By giving me all your money..."

Spector swung at the surprised old man with incredible strength, killing him. Marc then picked the old man's pockets and, finding two-hundred dollars, fled the scene.
