Of course he looks worse then the last! He's, what, 159? That deal he made with the devil's probably wearing off. :o

That telethon should either replace his sorry butt or be cancelled now. This man likes no one.
The Question

Dude. He's Jerry Lewis. He deserves a little more respect than that.
From the other thread:
For godsakes, a word is a word. Words lose all power if organizations like GLAAD didn't go out of their way to call attention to them. Its funny that GLAAD wants to have an 81 year old man who has raised BILLIONS of dollars for muscular dystrophy crucified for saying a word, then they will turn around the next day and preach about tolerance and helping others. What a load. GLAAD should quit playing politics. :whatever:

Did you see the year when he was a bloated mess from the steroids he was on because of his stroke or something?

The telethon can't "replace" him. It is his telethon. Jerry is the one who runs the charity behind the telethon. He is the one who runs the telethon. So therefore your idea is to cancel it and say good bye to 60 million dollars a year for muscular dystrophy research...over a word? If the gay community really believes that should be an option, they need to get over themselves. :whatever:

"Oh, nice LADY with your matching handbag and pumps with the sexy dress, it's tight and makes me feel funny. Oy, it's a guy with a schmeckle wearing the dress, that makes me a sad clown with the crying and the whimpering, it's not a good thing."

Maybe, I haven't really watched it over the years. But I turned it on the other day and was like "Holy ****".

I'm trying to find the animaniacs and simpsons episodes that good on Jerry Lewis. I'm coming up short, unfortunately. They are hilarious, too. Your post reminded me of them and started my search.

Jerry's the last of the Old School cats who came up when that crap was not an accepted lifestyle. That's why he said it.

Seriously dude, he apologized. All this **** about wanting him to meet with gay leaders about why these words are hurtful is pure unadulterated bull****. We should be talking about how this has been the most successful telethon to date in money raised, not this load of crap.

Jerry be excused because he is old and from a different, less educated time. Whats your excuse outside of bigotry?

No. GLADD always makes a big deal about everything. Remember when they complained about Sharon Stone being a "lesbian" in Basic Instincts back in `92?

Agreed. This is rediculous. Jerry's old anyway. A person his age often isn't fully aware of what comes out of his mouth. He's one of the most charitable men in entertainment, to let an incident like this put a blemish on that is rediculous.

Agreed! People are SOOOOOOO sensitive these days! You can't even say the word without someone getting offended. Everyone has used that word at some point, jokingly or whatever and it's not as big a deal as people blow it up to be. Heck, white boys call each other ***** now and I have heard them call black dudes that and there is no hard feelings cuase they don't say it out of malice, just.............say it cuase they are down like that. It's not that serious peeps! :whatever:

Could some one tell how the word *** needed to be used at a telethon for MS? Was there a kid there in all leather or something?
Also loosen the f*** up! *** means something completely different in England. If you are going to persecute him. GLAAD should just Burn England to the ground!

He had a slip of the tongue. He apologized, and so people need to move on. There's a lot more important things to address (like his raising money all these years and setting a record with the telethon), than what he said.

In the UK, yes. And from a phonetic standpoint, I think one is a little harsher than the other, what with the two syllables and if you say two syllables you couldn't have stopped mid-word and realized what you were saying and stopped.

Ah, yeah. a *** is a *** is a *** as far as I can tell. I don't see how (in the UK) *** stands for a cigartte and *Cracker Jack thinks of a politically correct way to say homo* guys that like to bump uglies with other guys are called queenies.
