So we all know celebrities are human and as such, are prone to committing offenses. So, should an artist's actions in their personal life effect the way their work is judged? Should a man like Roman Polanski be barred from winning accolades if he is a sex offender? Can the art itself truly be judged and accepted on it's own, or does the life of the artist overshadow his or her talent?

In some cases I simply can't separate the two...that case would be Tom Cruise, but since I've never been a fan it may be a moot point.

I can accept Russell Crowe for going off the hinge a few times, as well as Tobey Maguire, so I guess I truly can continue to enjoy their work.

Now as for Directors, Woody Allen kind of disturbs me with his actions but I think I could still watch his movies with out bias.

I have preached that they should be seperate for a long time...... but I have had trouble as far as Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise. I will say that when they do a movie that is a TOTAL DEPARTURE from what they normally do, it is much easier....but I have a hard time, no matter how I think I won't going into the movie.

Now as far as a producer, director, writer, etc......no, I can separate that with no problem.......I could care less what people when what awards.....most of them I disagree with anyway....lol

I'm not saying they did anything wrong.......its the HUGE AMOUNT OF PUBLICITY, PAPARAZZI, etc that is on even the regular news stations, day in and day out.........gets alittle much......its not necessarily their fault....but it happens.

He later came out and apologized gave autograph and such. Just rages let that could turn people off to some actors, I for one don't blame them. I'm pretty sure I'd lose it once and a while if I were hounded like they are.

It's the same with Bale, he doesn't like doing any promo for his movies, he is introverted and so intense that he's unapproachable and kinda awkward but his acting is all that counts to me, cos i have no intention in chasing any celeb for an autograph ever, All they have to offer me is a screen performance, beyond that i don't care.
