id honestly rather have the movie version just to go with the other movie unleashed figures

HCpride
10-05-2007, 01:26 PM
they really should have done xmen or fantastic four characters instead of more spiderman too, this could kill the line once the villains start hitting mass retail
Roughneck

What is with this new 8 inch scale they seem to be pushing?
CaptainStacy
10-05-2007, 03:47 PM
There are a BUNCH of Marvel Legends Two-Packs I'd like to see released:
1) Ka-Zar/Zabu
2) Crystal/Lockjaw
3) Hulk Sidekicks: Rick Jones/Jim Wilson
4) Valkyrie/Aragorn
5) Hammer & Anvil (Hulk villains)
6) Mr. Hyde/Cobra
7) Styx & Stone (Spidey villains)
8) Cloak & Dagger
And Some Marvel Legends Three Packs:
1) The Enforcers
2) The Unholy Trio (Daredevil villains)
3) The Warriors Three (Thor allies)
Instead, we get another tired-ass Spider-Man and Green Goblin figure. Yay. :whatever:
FEAR THE BAT
10-05-2007, 08:24 PM
So are these basically like Hasbro version of Sigma 6 Marvel figs???
Saint553
10-05-2007, 08:38 PM
Hasbro prefers the 4inch scale and the 8inch scale. Don't know why they can't just be happy with the average of those two.
Browncoat
10-05-2007, 08:40 PM
Sick. I like 'em. Yeah, it's not classic Goblin, but I do have an appreciation for the run that that costume originates from (surprisingly enough, since I usually find Millar to be sloppy).
Saint553
10-05-2007, 09:08 PM
So they're figures that don't fit any previous scale, except maybe S6, they cost twice the price, have the articulation that fans want, and the paint job fans want.
Hey, leave it to hasbro to know how to screw the fans sideways.
FEAR THE BAT
10-05-2007, 10:00 PM
Yep. Hasblow is givin' the fans their gang bang special.
Doc_OCK_4MUGEN
10-05-2007, 10:04 PM
now a six inch version of that goblin would be sweet... please don't mention the previous franken-goblin Humberto Ramos' proportions toy based on that suit... Yes Hasbro hates us...
FEAR THE BAT
10-05-2007, 10:14 PM
That had to be the worst Goblin ever.
venom892
10-05-2007, 11:39 PM
Not intrested.they don't look very good and that Goblin doesn't look comic accurate.
FEAR THE BAT
10-05-2007, 11:40 PM
Waste of plastic IMO.
Roughneck
10-05-2007, 11:55 PM
He was comic accurate for a couple years, Read Millar's Freindly Neighborhood Spider-man (First arc) and the first Arc of The Pulse....It's kind of the Ramos Green goblin only drawn by other artists....It is comig accurate, but only for a time.
I actually quite like the design

Lame-o. Can the 8 inch crap.
Roughneck
10-06-2007, 09:34 AM
Agrred.....it upsets me greatly that when Hasbro finally gives figs the articulation that we should be getting and add to that awesome bases that it turns out to be in the completely wrong scale.
I don't know if there is one character I would accept in this scale
HCpride
10-06-2007, 10:45 AM
a few people mentioned movie venom would be good in this scale, but i dunno
juggernaut could work, hulk too
maybe sasquatch

So you'd reject an 8-inch Jubilee?? What about an 8-inch Puck, or an 8-inch Wolvie, or what about an 8-inch Slapstick???
venom892
10-06-2007, 08:17 PM
I would reject those.
FEAR THE BAT
10-06-2007, 08:22 PM
I'd hope so.
Benstamania
10-06-2007, 09:13 PM
I don't know what the complaining is about....I see two great looking figures. Hasbro has NEVER cared about scale, I've been collecting Transformers for years and very few are in "accurate" scale.
So...these will be cool to put up in my son's room.
venom892
10-06-2007, 09:24 PM
They just look crappy to me.
HCpride
10-06-2007, 09:51 PM
crappy?
they dont look crappy
FEAR THE BAT
10-06-2007, 09:58 PM
I just think its dumb that they went with that scale. They could've sold alot more had they went with a 6" scale. Lets be realistic about it.
venom892
10-06-2007, 10:19 PM

they dont look crappySpidey is ok at best and that Green Goblin looks horrible.

10-06-2007, 11:16 PM
isnt Domino and Cannonball gonna come out in a 2pack?
FEAR THE BAT
10-06-2007, 11:22 PM
Yeah, but they'll be regular Marvel Legends. Not this "Unleashed" crap.
Ncrawler333
10-07-2007, 12:15 AM
I'm guessing that these might possibly be in scale with the Star Wars Unleashed figures, which would be cool if they are. Gonna pass on Spidey and Goblin though, might consider getting some of my more favorite characters like Nightcrawler and Thor though if they make them.
FEAR THE BAT
10-07-2007, 12:21 AM
But why'd they make'em in scale with those, plus articulated?? Its just doesn't make sense bro.
Ncrawler333
10-07-2007, 12:33 AM
I don't know why they decided to articulate the Marvel ones instead of the Star Wars ones, though it may be because they have different teams working on the different lines. The main reason their probably making them is because they figure they'll be popular like the Star Wars ones were, so they think they're guaranteed to sell.
FEAR THE BAT
10-07-2007, 12:44 AM
I bet they sell poorly.
Ncrawler333
10-07-2007, 01:20 AM
So I just went on Fwoosh, and if the price on these things are the same at retail as they are in the link below, there's no way in hell I'm getting these, and there's also no way these will end up lasting for a long time:
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS14128&mode=retail
FEAR THE BAT
10-07-2007, 02:43 AM
WTF?!?! $50 for the set??? Hell no, these will rot until they hit clearance.
Some stupid tards will buy them.
FEAR THE BAT
10-07-2007, 02:51 AM
Some, but not all the Marvel drones.
I could be wrong.
venom892
10-07-2007, 03:23 AM
Isn't that website know for overpricing things?Ethier way you can get a Mini bust or mini statue for that price.
they go a dollar or so over retail. They've never overpriced me
venom892
10-07-2007, 03:27 AM
So then Hasbro went ape**** crazy.
FEAR THE BAT
10-07-2007, 03:32 AM

There are Tranformers Movie Unleashed, as well as (I think) Some GIJoe Mini unleashed things.
And just to clarify because i know you don't always read everything right...these are Unleashed 360....They are articulated.

I saw the Unleashed Spidey on Monday. He does have alotta articulation but he was $25 at the KB I was at. Plus, naturally, he's like 8-9 inches tall. Lame. If I were a Spidey collector I'd get one, but it won't go with jack. Plus its $25. Thats bulls***.
Roughneck
10-10-2007, 11:00 PM
Now who should they take this opportunity to make?
They should make Unleahsed 360 versions of....Stature.....And maybe a Classic Sentinel.......

Will there be any more "Face off" two-packs? I'd like to see Dr. Strange vs Dormammu or Baron Mordo, Thor vs Loki, Lady Sif vs Hela or Enchantress... Oh yeah, and DD vs Mr. Fear...
I found a companion line for these figs.. Or atleast.. If I were to get them.. I would couple them with the final fantasy playarts figs and do a Final Spidey fantasy!

I wish Toybiz was still making Marvel Figures. Does anyone know what happen between Marvel and Toybiz?
well, first of all, marvel owns Toybiz and has for awhile, and this year Toybiz renamed themselves Marvel Toys. The reason that they're not doing the Marvel Legends anymore is pretty much just because Hasbro is paying Marvel a lot of money in order to do them.

As of right now, no, the only two-packs we're getting are the two Wal-Mart exclusive ones[Cannonball/Domino, Marvel Girl(Jean Grey)/Cable]. Hopefully they'll announce something at the february toy fair about bringing them back though.

its a long boring ass day working at the toy store
im wandering the isles just looking at crap
i see this kinda cool looking ninja guy with craploads of accessories
well why not, ill just shop worn it for 4$ and it wont be a big loss if it sucks
turns out to be fun and can get into lots of poses
kept picking up a few more, ive got nine now
i only want 2 or 3 more if anyone can help me out
im looking for firefly, samurai storm shadow and samurai snake eyes
im really only into the ninja ones, but some of the others are just plain cool with tons of guns and other weapons
Roughneck
10-18-2007, 08:41 PM
Once day when I first saw them...i thought...cool...I wanna get into GIJoe...what kind of fig guy would I be if I didn't have anything GIJoe?
I nabbed Snakeyes and Stormshadow (The first onnes) I got home and opened them and immediately wondered what I was thinking...I wasn't impressed witht hem and found the scale to be too large....I think 6 inches is just the right size
HCpride
10-18-2007, 09:18 PM
yeah 6 inch is perfect
but these are still cool figures
for the price of a ML, they are 2 inches bigger and come with about 500x more accessories
