If those two don't get into a car chase/fight in the film I will be well disappointed.

I think what I would from this from is more orders given from both factions. Like with Sideways, due to the fact that he will be so fast have Prime or Ironhide tell one of the quicker Autobots (Arcee from the trailer) to go after him. I would prefer this over Autobots attacking whoever as it would highlight their individual talents.

No no no. The Twins are Skids and Mudflaps. Sideways is a Decepticon (the one Arcee is chasing in the trailer) and Sideswipe is an Autobot. In G1 Sideswipe was a twin though, his brother was Sunstreaker.

I know about the G1 versions... I'm just wondering what Overman was talking about, that's all. I'm not at all optimistic about Skids and Mudflaps. But if they can keep the humor centered on them and away from the humans (like ***amned mother****ing Tuturro) then I'll accept them.

I partially agree however Beast Wars(Crappy theme song) was decent. All of the other cartoons including Transformers animated are garbage.

I remember seeing Skids in G1 cartoons Triple Takeover and The Quest for Survival. He only had one line in the whole series.

I have the 2 disc of Transformers....and the second disc has a lot of making of stuff with the effects and explosions and he talked about the vehicle they call the BayBreaker....a Porsche Cayenne that has cameras in both the front and rear (protected by roll cage) bumpers and a crane camera arm to do chase scenes.....

Was the two disc only for a limited time? Because I don't think you can find it anywhere now.

It will probably be re released before T2, I might get it then.

The same reason the Emperor was fully introduced in Return of the Jedi. Sure we have a big bad in Darth Vader (well before the crappy prequels anyway) but they always have bigger bads not only to make the struggle of the fight greater but to also make the triumph of the heroes greater.

Maybe its just me, but looking at the newer pic of megs...I see characteristics of the other decepticons dropped into the abyss...like tank parts from devastor, some of the sheath and smooth body armor looks like it can come from blackout...and it looks as if he has the roller boogie bone crusher thing going on.

I wonder if they are going to work that with the partial spark somehow.

This thread seems to have been going a bit slow these last few weeks, So i thought i might share some of my theories to keep the discussions up :)

Firstly the ice-truck,
I've been thinking, i know theirs enough evidence pointing to the ice-cream truck being one in the same as the two autobot twins skids and mudflap, however im starting to think this may of been part of the misinformation campaign.
The reason? because a creepy old beaten up ice-cream truck doesn't fit what an autobot would take as their alternate form, makes no sense, also why would they share an alternate form together but later adopt seperate forms. Also devastators bio claims he looks after a group of decepticons in China, and since we've only seen sideways in the leaked photos and the trailer im thinking the truck is one of those decepticons. Also in one of the photos of the truck, an image appears on its bottom left window that looks like the decepticon logo.

Secondly Autobot Springer
Two toys are now out with him in it. His legends toy and Transformers robot heroes, so its highly likely he could play a role in the film since both lines don't feature non-movie transformers usually, so this would be a first if he wasn't in the film.

Thirdly, more Autobots than we could think
Since the film entered post-production, we haven't seen ratchet in any of the action scenes suggesting the autobots have set up camp and he's there minding it, and i feel that's where some other transformers could be hanging, such as wheeljack/perceptor who share the same role as him as a doctor/scientist.

So what do people think :) ?

This thread seems to have been going a bit slow these last few weeks, So i thought i might share some of my theories to keep the discussions up :)

Firstly the ice-truck,
I've been thinking, i know theirs enough evidence pointing to the ice-cream truck being one in the same as the two autobot twins skids and mudflap, however im starting to think this may of been part of the misinformation campaign.
The reason? because a creepy old beaten up ice-cream truck doesn't fit what an autobot would take as their alternate form, makes no sense, also why would they share an alternate form together but later adopt seperate forms. Also devastators bio claims he looks after a group of decepticons in China, and since we've only seen sideways in the leaked photos and the trailer im thinking the truck is one of those decepticons. Also in one of the photos of the truck, an image appears on its bottom left window that looks like the decepticon logo.

Secondly Autobot Springer
Two toys are now out with him in it. His legends toy and Transformers robot heroes, so its highly likely he could play a role in the film since both lines don't feature non-movie transformers usually, so this would be a first if he wasn't in the film.Thirdly, more Autobots than we could think
Since the film entered post-production, we haven't seen ratchet in any of the action scenes suggesting the autobots have set up camp and he's there minding it, and i feel that's where some other transformers could be hanging, such as wheeljack/perceptor who share the same role as him as a doctor/scientist.

So what do people think :) ?

I doubt they will ever bring that element of the comics into the live movies, they will probably keep Springer as a standalone character like the cartoon.

My personal preference is also that they stick to Megs. He's not been around long enough, and hasn't had a good run on earth as Megs yet. He literally came online to die within the hour in movie 1. If they switch to Galvs now, it feels too soon. Maybe by movie 4, it would feel appropriate to me.

I don't know. I mean in G1 at least he rarely fought himself, always sending out his tapes. There are probably more but I can only recall two instances of Soundwave fighting himself. His first hand to hand fight against I think Ironhide in More than Meets the Eye. The second fight was between him and Blaster in Auto-Bop...although that was via soundwaves. Which Soundwave would have easily won were it not for Blaster using those megaphones(I think that's what they were).

I'm not too fussed about SW fighting in ROTF, I know he will and odds are he'll hold his own but he is a communications officer not an actual soldier. Although I think what would be mint is if we saw Soundwave always lurking and listening, not fighting upon until near the end where he just kicks ass.

While this is just wishful thinking but I would love a scene of Starscream trying to shoot Megatron in the back and Soundwave just casually warns him. Just to really cement to the audience that Soundwave is Megatron's *****. In a good way of course.

You are right that soundwave didn't have too many hand to hand combat fights. More than meets the eye is the only time I remember him using his hands as weapons yet he looked pretty darn strong in that episode. He easily handled Sideswipe, Prowl, and Jazz at the same time. I remember
knocking him off balance with a kick to the back. Then Soundwave picks
up Ratchet after getting hit in the chest and hurls him against a computer on the Arc.

As others have pointed out though, he has never really been a prominent fighter, I know when he has tried to take on Prime a few times in the comics, Prime rips him apart, defeats him easily, so this sounds about right.

I've seen what you're talking about. All of those were VIN'ed as 2009 test fleet cars - they are for show and test driving only. They may never be sold to consumers. Production on the 2010 production models began yesterday at 8:00 am at Oshawa.

As far as Simmons goes.. from all indications, Devastator is on top of the pyramid/weapon and Simmons is trying to get coordinates for everyone to coordinate attacks on the weapon. If the weapon is absorbing solar energy and explodes and Devastator is on top of it, go figure.

As far as Simmons goes.. from all indications, Devastator is on top of the pyramid/weapon and Simmons is trying to get coordinates for everyone to coordinate attacks on the weapon. If the weapon is absorbing solar energy and explodes and Devastator is on top of it, go figure.

Just some theories btw.

The only way I'd be fine with Simmons killing Devastator or whatever is if Simmons dies as well.

Why can't a robot have a cane? If he was in battle and got hurt with no medic bot to do repairs; he would have to do something to keep mobile. If Ratchet wasn't around for Bumblebee he'd still be using the towtruck as a wheel chair.
