Not on the pre-strike list is "Transformers 2," a sequel that is still being written. Labor talks will determine whether the visual effects-heavy film makes its projected June 26, 2009, release date.

I could understand the writers going on strike if they were doing such a great job creating scripts for movies and scenarios for tv shows but, that is clearly not what has happened. I haven't seen a good sitcom in a long time. The only shows I've enjoyed watching since 2001 are the csi shows. 90% of the hollywood films made since 2000 are unoriginal crap. The vast majority of these writers don't deserve more money.

Michael Bay Promises Unique and More Robots
Source: MichaelBay.com January 3, 2008
In a Happy New Year's message to fans on his official website, Transformers director Michael Bay wrote:
For the millions of viewers that logged on this year I want to thank you for the support. Transformers 2 will be coming soon. The new robots are really really unique and there are a lot of them this time.
Paramount/DreamWorks is planning a June 26, 2009 release for Transformers 2. Transformers was the third-biggest film of 2007 domestically with $319.2 million and fifth-biggest worldwide in 2007 with $706.5 million.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura on G.I. Joe, Transformers 2
Source: IESB January 8, 2008
IESB has posted a great interview with G.I. Joe and Transformers 2 producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura in which he provides updates on both projects.
About G.I. Joe, he says that shooting starts in five weeks, that you can expect more casting announcements in the next few weeks, and he talks about the cast members so far and storyline. Here are just a few clips:
It's a tricky balance. One, you want to keep the story elements secret. I can say this very convincingly, if you're a Joe vs. Cobra fan, then you will be feel incredibly happy about the movie... I would say a Batman Begins. Well, I would say this, it would be more like the original Batman in the sense that you know, it's really taking a comic book, have you seen the original cartoon movie? The Joe movie?... If you would you say the original GI Joe movie was like the original Batman movie with Jack Nicholson then I would say this is like Batman Begins.
He added that they are targeting a June 2 start for Transformers 2, but that date is up in the air because of the writers strike:
We're nowhere because of the strike, we won't know until we come back. We have a very fine outline and we know exactly where we want go with the movie but until this writers strike comes back, we'll find out exactly where we are. Michael is completely on top of every detail. He's designed a lot of great stuff already. He's got a lot of great sequences imagined but you know, he needs some writers to work with before he's ready to go, so I would say June 2nd is an unofficial start, it's the target date we'd like to go for but, you know, we've got to get some writers to help us.

Bay on Prepping Transformers 2 During Strike
Source: Variety January 18, 2008
Director Michael Bay told Variety that he has been preparing to get the Transformers sequel into production, strike or no strike.
"We knew from early on that the writers strike could get ugly, and this has got to bring a little sanity to the situation," Bay said. "I can't do the movie without my writers, but I have been prepping. I'm not in the guild, but I've been writing every day. This strike (is) insane, and a director's responsibility is to the 50 crew members who depend on you for their livelihoods. We've got battle plans ready for the possibility of an actors strike. Somehow, you've got to keep the ball rolling."
Hopefully the Directors Guild of America's tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers will lead to agreements with the Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild as well.
Dr Lee
01-18-2008, 07:25 PM
So Bay could write the sequel.....
Has he written anything before?
How far through the prepping were they when the strike hit?
Golgo-13
01-18-2008, 08:37 PM
I think he's probably written a rough outline of what he wants to happen and the action sequences. As far as dialogue; i think that's what he wants the writers to tackle.
Dr Lee
01-18-2008, 08:42 PM
Well with the DGA... or whatever the directors group is called... agreeig a deal i can't see the writers holding out much longer, Especially if the actors follow with their own deal soon.
Avangarde
01-18-2008, 11:23 PM
There is also a good chance Bay has caught up with Hasbro again to deal with new bots to join the cast. He's probably doing as much as he can to get this movie going without the help of the writers. If he wasn't I wouldn't expect to see TF2 out for quite some time.

Not really, we all knew full well that the writers strike would have an impact on the development of TF2, Bay is just trying to do as much as he can without them. He has the movie set to be released in roughly 18 months from now, if he was to wait for the writers before doing anything then I couldn't see them making the release date. I just hope they don't rush its production due to the effects of the writers (and maybe a potential actors) strike.

Thats my biggest worry with TF2, history has shown us that a rushed movie often ends up being no better than average, X3 is a prime example of an extremely poor movie resulting from a rushed production.
Well i wouldnt worry about a Rushed production here I mean i know he gets alot of hate but the guy has ALOT of pull in this bussiness and if he feels like he is pacing incorrectly he will say so. the mman is extremely blunt form what i have gathered and I think we will get a very good sequel, just look at Bad Boys 2 i mean it wasnt amazing but he did what you are supposed to do with a sequel he made it bigger and better not to metion i think he has a true passion for this property now ecspecially if he is now writing all kinds of stuff down for his "ideas" that is dedication.

Michael Bay Has Written Transformers 2
Source: Rotten Tomatoes, IESB February 12, 2008
Transformers 2 director Michael Bay told Rotten Tomatoes at the Visual Effects Society awards that he's already written the sequel and will pass on his script to the screenwriters, who are coming off of the strike:
"I've been writing Transformers 2," said Bay. "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that." It might be a tad unorthodox, but Bay has high pressure demands. "We had to because I want to make my date. I'm not going to let the strike take me down."
Bay also spoke to IESB, who he assured that we won't be seeing Dinobots in the follow-up. ILM's Scott Farrar also told the site that there will be a lot more robots this time and that the animatics look amazing so far.

Wow, this movie is gonna' be worse than the first one. At least the writers were on this before Bay and so was Speilberg's input. The Bay ego is going overboard on this one. Say what you will about Raimi, but despite the problems he may have with pacing, he understands character development. The first one had very little and was in development before Bay saw the script. This is a bad sign methinks.

This has "bad move" written all over. Orci and Kurtzman's original script was pretty mediocre, even when keeping an open mind. The SFX and touchups were what made the film good. Now Bay's doing a knockoff of that by himself? Here's hoping it's either a) one of the best things he's ever made or b) is fixed by a proficient writer.

I guess no one agreed with your statement, huh? Lol.
Spider-Man 3 was had twice the budget that Transformers did, but yet, had much, much better effects(besides the Sandman transformation scene, I must admit, it was an actual great scene even for that movie, SFX and emotional, and that should deserve major props), but in the outcome Spider-Man 3 was a downfall of a desperate move because it did not go pass all the hype; the video game, okay, I'll give you that one, the TF game wasn't the best, it could've been better, but being Optimus Prime was sweet, lol; and the toys, well, I have no freaking clue.
The Chibi Kiriyama
02-13-2008, 12:07 AM
Even in the toy category, Hasbro voiced disappointment that the SM3 toys didn't sell more than they already did in light of the amount they expected to sell. I haven't heard such a comment made in regards to the TF film's toyline.

What does it matter? Why is it war between fanboys? I simply think there is more heart and depth to SM3, but TF has better action and a more balanced (if extremely formulaic and self-serious full of pretentions) pacing. But I could care less which made more money. I know which I like better and that is all that matters.
Anyway, people who are defending Bay and the studio for going deep into pre-production without a screenplay because it is the only way of meeting the release date for next year are missing the point. Reaching that said release date should not be the priority. One would think taking an extra year to make a better movie would equate to better returns and longevity of the franchise and the novelty would not run out in the meantime with no other giant robot franchise out there (albeit I'd love to see a Gundam trilogy). It is a move to make a quick buck by the studio, which is why many show disdain for the move because there is nothing creative or artistic driving the decision as they are essentially opting to make an inferior movie so as to make money faster. Movies are a business, but it is nice when the director and "auteur" of the movie is thinking beyond the bottom line. That is the critique they are (minorly) facing.

Well said DACrowe, it doesn't matter which movie made more at the boxoffice or peddled more merchandise, it's the quality of the movies themselves that counts, Oh we're talking about Spider-Man 3 and Transformers.... uhmm nevermind.:csad:

This has "bad move" written all over. Orci and Kurtzman's original script was pretty mediocre, even when keeping an open mind. The SFX and touchups were what made the film good. Now Bay's doing a knockoff of that by himself? Here's hoping it's either a) one of the best things he's ever made or b) is fixed by a proficient writer.
I think he just wrote the outline of the script, Orci and Kurtzman will rewrite it once the strike is over, with a bit of luck they will add there own input into it rather then rely on Bay's limited knowledge of TF's.

Michael Bay Has Written Transformers 2
Source: Rotten Tomatoes, IESB
February 12, 2008
Transformers 2 is scheduled for a June 26, 2009 release.

People also seem to be forgetting that Bay has constantly been meeting with Hasbro about the new bots to feature in the next movie. Just like the first movie Hasbro educated Bay on the bots and there characteristics, I'm sure they would have dont the same for TF2, and it is in Hasbro's best interest to make sure Bay doesn't screw around with there bots so we can atleast take that into account.
Just on another topic but is that retard Don Murphy involved with TF2?

There is a difference between leaving a film open for a sequel and leaving a film open for a sequel.

It was tough for Bay to go back, he admitted after the show, as he's already deep into pre-production on Transformers 2, which is set to start filming on June 2. Bay didn't let the strike stop him. "The strike was a drag," he said. "But I like to write myself. So I wrote 60 pages. I showed the writers something to look at. We'll get back to the torture chamber on Monday." Transformers 2 will deepen the different robot characters as well as the humor, he said. "There's a geriatric robot. If there's an actors strike we'll just stop and start again. We'll make our date." (The movie is scheduled to open June 26, 2009.)

The aformentioned "geriatric" bot could (or would) probably be Kup, but they could change Ultra Magnus into an older bot. And then there's always Alpha Trion. Other than that and the stated fact that Jazz is dead, there hasn't really been any news about who exactly could be in the sequel. The character models are already finished, so they already know who's gonna be in it.
But now is where the real spectulation comes into play, especially if (for whatever reason) they release the number of new bots officially. It's time to throw out the possibilites and start thinking completely realisticly. In example, I hate to say it, but due to Barricade's role in the first (and possibly this) movie, Prowl has slim chances to make it into the film. I know it's tough, but it's time to face the cold hard facts.

I don't really mind the Dinobots not being included in TF2. I like them, but they weren't really high on my must see list. However, I would still like to see Grimlock and co. make an appearance down the line.
I also don't have a problem with Bay writing TF2 to some extent. It seems that it was only an outline that the writers will hammer out.

I disagree. It wouldn't be that hard to visually distinguish the two. He'd be a different model and they could give him a different color scheme. Or Bay could go with another idea suggested and make Prowl a police SUV. The whole good cop vs. bad cop analogies that would surely come could be pretty interesting too.
Besides, the name "Prowl" is one of the most recycled names in the TF franchise, so I think it is easy seeing the character making an appearance.

LaBeouf on Transformers 2... "Massive"

"I know of a few things I have to work on for the next one," said LaBeouf. "I've seen pre-vizes of the action scenes and I just saw Michael yesterday. It's going to be bad-ass. We're not making another one unless it is, and Mike is definitely not resting on his laurels — he's doing insane ***** again. And the pre-vizes that I've seen… it's just massive.

LaBeouf on Transformers 2... "Massive"
Source: Empire Online (http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=22008)
February 14, 2008
Empire (http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=22008) magazine talked to Transformers 2 (http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=37679) star Shia LaBeouf, who says he has seen a lot for the sequel already and knows that there will be new robots on both sides of the battle. Here's a clip:
"I know of a few things I have to work on for the next one," said LaBeouf. "I've seen pre-vizes of the action scenes and I just saw Michael yesterday. It's going to be bad-ass. We're not making another one unless it is, and Mike is definitely not resting on his laurels — he's doing insane ***** again. And the pre-vizes that I've seen… it's just massive.
You can read the full interview here (http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=22008)! DreamWorks/Paramount is planning a June 26, 2009 release date.
It's only natural that it would be bigger then the first movie, but I like how Shia is excited about it.
PS. Hunter, are you going to continue to be our mod for TF2, and when do you think we will get a TF2 Spoilers/Non-Spoilers forum?

"Transformers Movie director Michael was present, alongside other creators who worked on the film, during a VFX Technology presentation on the Sony Movie lot. Michael Bay spoke about the upcoming Transformers Movie sequel, and how the film was prepared in case of a prolonged writers strike (which will now no longer be a cause of delay for the film, as the strike ended last night).
Of note is Bay making mention of the writers returning, and a story that will see deeper robot characters as well as a "geriatric robot" - the article also goes into great detail about the VFX work in the first film."
A geriatric robot? Kup anyone, lol

I should've been more specific, what I meant was that Prowl wouldn't appearing as we know him best-as a police car. I should also point out that I support the idea of Prowl being a Police S.U.V., especially if he looks like that picture of a Chevy Tahoe that was floating around last year. Hell, I could even accept Prowl as S.W.A.T. vehicle.
While I'm at it, I think Soundwave should definately be a military vehicle, like most of the 'Cons seem to be. Lazerbeak could be a sattilite dish, and Ravage could be a spare tire (I'm basing this off another concept pic someone made of Soundwave).
Mirage could be a Formula 1 car, definately. I can see Wheeljack as...well, I can't really think of a good alt. form for him. I can see Hot Rod as a nice, souped up Caddilac (or a really nice Pontiac Firebird), and if he is the geriatric 'bot, Kup as an old Chevy pick-up. And scratch the idea of Prowl as a S.W.A.T. vehicle, I could see Ultra Magnus as that (if he doesn't happen to be a car carrier or tow-truck, like some have suggested).
One more 'Con that I would love to see on screen would be Blitzwing. He can stay as a triple-changer, and he should be the only triple-changer they bring in for the 'Cons. I know there are probably a ton of Astrotrain fans out there, but BW's alt. modes would be more common to see in a battlezone than a train and a space shuttle.

Question: Will Starscream have more than 3 English lines in the sequel ?
Answer: Yes.
Question: If TF1 was Bumblebee and Primes movie (as far as robot stars go), who's movie would you say TF2 is going to be?
Answer: Too early to tell. Obviously, Prime will always be central, but our structure allows the freedom to have others step up. Will know more later.
Question: Will the Decepticons have any scenes to themselves like the Autobots had in the first one?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Also, Roberto, can you provide any hints as to the tone of TF2? Even with a short ouline, I'm sure there is much work to be done. I'm not horribly concerned that Mike went all Bat****-crazy during your hiatus. As egomaniacial as he seems, he also seems to know his place. Perhaps I'm wrong on that.
Answer: The tone will be similar to TF1, although I think the stakes will be higher. There will still be much humor, but I think many of the Transformers themselves will be more in line with fan expectation. More serious to some degree. Again, we're early in the process.
Bay's statements should be taken merely as confirmation of his enthusiasm and desire to make his date. He does not want anyone to lose confidence in the project.
Question: Bob, are you looking to strike the exact same tone as film 1 or will the sequel be more serious and thought-provoking? Will it be a smarter film, more science-fictionny?
Answer: More "science-fictionny." Yes.
Question: Any possibility of a TF arrivel scene similar to the first but with decepticons this time ?
And i take it there will be a mix of new and existing G1 characters for the next ?
Answer: New mix. Yes. No comment on Decepticon arrivals!
Question: Also Bob i would like to add, are we gonna see more of Cybertron in this one ?
Just in flashbacks or will it take place in present time ?
Anwer: No comment on Cybertron.
Question: My major problem with "Transformers" were the humans. Most of them acted like they were on a mix of speed, ecstacy and too much coffee. Their behaviour was IMO way over the top, almost like highly exaggerated comic-book caricatures. I think it wasn't so much due to the writing, but more due to the direction they were given by Michael Bay.
Was it your intention to write the human characters (Sam, Sam's parents, Simmons, the cop guy in the police station) in such an exaggerated, over-the-top way or did that evolve during filming and are there any plans to tone the humans down a little for the sequel to make them appear more ... normal and not so over-caffeinated?
Answer: We'll have to take some of the blame for that. We pitched Sam as "Marty McFly on crack." And Simmon's is pretty much the way he read on the page. But I agree that it went even further than it should've, and editing could've helped that a bit. As I've said before, tone on TF1 was the absolutely hardest thing to crack. Hopefully, we'll be better at modulating this time.
Question: Roberto could you tell us about the cooperation sofar? You know, you had a way to write with alex, how did it change with Ethan? Or was it he, who conformed himself to you?
Answer: We'd worked with Ehren before, so we knew his personality would be a good fit for "the band." We agreed to split up scenes and then pass them around to each other to make our own tweaks without anyone's feelings getting hurt -- one big jam session after which we'll hopefully have an album called TF2.
Question: Roberto, cheers for answering my first question. Predictably, I have another. Does Bumblebee talk all the time now, or does he still have issues with his voice box?
Answer: Minds not made up yet.
Question: Also about the humor and jokes in the next one, any chance of making them alittle "smarter" ?
Some of the jokes in the first is okay in a American Pie type movie but not in Transformers in my honest opinion.
Answer: Don't know how the humor will turn out yet. We have to find it. But we know it has to come from whatever situation Sam finds himself in. Any similarities to American Pie were the result of our character being in a similar situation (age, high school, etc.).
Question: Any idea what they're doing with those old S7 sites? They could be used in another viral game for TF2, or (more preferably) they could be taken offline.
Answer: No idea.
Question: Hey Roberto, Hasbro said at Toy Fair that they've been working with Paramount on designs for TF2 for weeks now, and Bay has indicated several times that they're well on their way with the robot designs. I'm just curious if you're getting kept in that loop, and if you get to comment along the way, or if they're keeping all of that amongst themselves. It doesn' so much matter for new characters, but for those based on past incarnations it'd be great if there were parties involved to assure they get "the Prime treatment", so to speak. Maybe Hasbro's more hands-on this go-around? Thanks!
Answer: As a result of the strike, we were not able to comment on anything that was going on within the production. As a result, Hasbro has been MUCH MORE involved. However, we had a ton of character and development conversations with them before the strike (going all the way back to before the movie's release). So we've had our input and Hasbro in general knew where we were going with the story. During the strike, some dates had to be met in order to assure all the designs would be ready for multiple purposes, and it now seems that is where Bay and Hasbro spent most of their efforts. Doesn't mean we can't lose or add characters, but it probably means our core group is somewhat locked.
Luckily, the folks at Hasbro are truly great people and their collaboration with Bay has probably kept this movie on track.
Question: Bay was quoted as saying that there would be some new/different "species" of Transformers. What do you think he meant by that?
Answer: No comment! But they're in the outline, so don't worry.
You can also probably guess what he means in his non-fan way.
Question: So when you guys are working on the outline...do you work on it from beginning to end? Or do the three of you figure out big spots that you want to have and go back and fill in the holes? What I mean by that are huge set peices, stunts or moments that you want to accent on screen. Im sure Bay has plenty of spots that he'd like to do and that would only add to the collaboration. How is that process completed?
Answer: Well, normally we don't hand over outlines. Normally we do those for ourselves and then hand in a script. Thanks to the strike, we felt it was only fair to give them a snap shot of where we were going so they could plan from a treatment. So naturally, a treatment is not a script, and there are many things that need to be filled in at script. Knowing where we were going, and what we intended the major set pieces to be, Bay could start to plan how he would attack some of the action.
Question: Is it safe to assume there are a bunch of new robots designed for the transformers movie, but have no name as of yet, or are subject to change?
Answer: Safe indeed.
Question: Roberto without going into details, how many parallel storylines do you think you might have running in this movie?
Answer: Story lines in this movie should be more organically interconnected in that TF1 had the structure of 3 story lines coming together at Hoover. TF2 will have a different structure.
Question: Roberto, I just wanted to know what comes first: The design of the Transformers then the names, or names first, then their design.
Answer: No hard and fast rules, and almost impossible to remember as it's a case by case basis.
Question: Will there be more emphasis on new transformer/s? Or will characters such as Bumblebee still be the main focus?
Answer: Just started playing around, but the short answer is both.
Question: So Roberto, what would the time estimate for the final script be? A couple weeks? A month? A couple months?
Answer: THE FINAL? The day before shooting.
A first draft? who knows -- everyone needed it last month, but we're contractually accorded 10-12 weeks or so for the first draft.
Question: can changes be made DURING shooting if Bay or someone else demands
Answer: Yes. We're usually the ones demanding it.

I cannot really agree with that. I enjoyed the delightful quirks. They were the complete antithesis of the incredibly boring humans in Burton's Planet of the Apes. Transformers 2 and Justice League Filming Updates
February 28, 2008
Variety has published an in-depth article talking about how a posssible Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike could affect movie productions starting soon. The trade says Hollywood studios are refusing to schedule new start dates on films that can't complete shooting by June 30.
Transformers 2 director Michael Bay said the labor cloud has made the process harder, but not impossible as he tries to keep the film on track for an early June start in order to make its scheduled June 26, 2009 release date.
"If there is a strike, we shut down, but shutting down isn't that big a deal," Bay told the trade. "You make accommodations, you make a deal with vending houses on equipment and on the stages where you are shooting. You hope for the best, but you can't be incapacitated by the possibility that there will be a strike. We've got to get this town back to work. I can't imagine anyone wants another strike, we're all tired. Hopefully clearer heads will prevail."
Bay said that the sequel is still recovering from the writers strike, and that he's playing catch-up after getting back his trio of writers, Ehren Kruger, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
"They did a detailed outline before the writer's strike, and now they are in Michael Bay jail, holed up in a hotel and working feverishly," Bay said. "We're paying for a beautiful suite and they are getting a lot of work done. Hiring three writers was unusual, but it has been a godsend in getting us to where we need to be. Somehow you find a way to get it done."

Rachel's character has ran its course, evident by the fact that after her character cracked the code in TF, she then had nothing better to do except barricading herself and others from Frenzy. And less human the better it is (plus we have Fox for the eye candy; we don't need another).

Transformers 2 to Film in Philadelphia?
Source: Main Line Today March 4, 2008
Main Line Today posted the following in February about projects that may film in Philadelphia:
"The film industry is [an] increasingly lucrative [thing] for government to em-brace," says Pinkenson. "We already have a reputation as the most cooperative and film-friendly city in the business. Having these tax incentives adds to our attraction. Right now, we’re looking at applications for six to eight films to begin in June, and more to follow."
The not-so-top-secret list includes Remorse, Three Sistas, Shyamalan’s Avatar series, a film based on Marley and Me and possibly Transformers 2. The GPFO website (film.org) is a good gauge of its commitment to making filmmaking a collective experience while enhancing Philly’s reputation as a movie-friendly city with manageable amounts of red tape. "How to" services are offered free of charge and cover everything from hiring a police officer to getting a street closed. There are numerous resources, including screenwriting contests, a job hotline and profiles spotlighting the city’s filmmakers.
Interesting, stay tuned. Transformers 2 is scheduled for a June 26, 2009 release.

Well I can't be sure that it would even involve Scorpy, hell it's not even confirmed that he will use Egypt as a location, however I figured that because Scorpinok was last seen in the Middle East he could have made his way over to Egypt. If Bay was smart he would use Scorps in a plot to discover oil fields which the Decepticons could refine into a new energy source, therefore leading a new invasion of Earth.
WarBlade

Egypt... If it was Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates etc. I'd be thinking about oil resources, but Egypt? I immediately start thinking about tangled plot ideas involving a stasis locked transformer entombed under a pyramid after being treated as one of the god kings thousands of years ago.
As much as any desert arid area can be dressed to look like a number of places with oil connections I can't see that taking on all the trouble of filming in Egypt would be for oil resource reasons.

Like i posted in another thread, G1 'Mirage' has an Egyptian like face, so this could be where he lands, and scans his earth features/mode....
I think if those reports are accurate, it may go a bit deeper than that.

I like the idea of them fighting in the desert. Course I'd love it if they fought in Paris maybe. I could see Prime and Megatron fighting on the tower LOL.

Ugh, city has been done, dessert is to boring, perhaps some smaller town with plenty of trees and a body of water in the surrounding area would suffice. Give the bots some nature to rip up and mack a mess of things.

Anyone read this yet? It's from IMDB so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but I'd like to know what their source was.
"The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Scorponok and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye."

but don't they show megatrons body being dumped at sea, how would scorponok steal his body from the military
Dr Lee
03-15-2008, 06:19 PM
thats what ruins that idea for me. you saw the mutilated remains being dumped, so unless skorpy can get that far under then that synopsis is a load of.....
Avangarde
03-16-2008, 02:07 AM
They wouldn't be stupid enough to screw something like that up, maybe the government fished his body out to do secret research on it, Scorponok gets wind of it and tracks down Megatrons body (this is me clutching at straws here btw).

Some one on the IMB forums said Bay would be leaking out fake info so yes I wouldn't trust that stuff just yet. Ask for how they'd get past the military, well I could think of one way. Maybe there's a hidden minor of Megatron and was spying on it, that's all I could come up with here. Don't mind me if it didn't make sense, I was just throwing things in the air LOL.
Avangarde
03-16-2008, 02:58 AM
Yes I am well aware of that, but if that was an attempt at misleading people on Bay's behalf then that was seriously pathetic.

Shia is going to be a rich kid, he's signed for 2 more Transformer films and he's in indiana jones 4 all those movies are going to make a gang load of money
Golgo-13
03-23-2008, 10:09 PM
That doesn't mean he'll make alot of money. Colin Farrell, for example, is broke right now;just a few years back he was the 'it boy' of Hollywood. Only if Shia and his ppl negotiated good deals, then he'll be rich.

Shia seems like a lot more level headed kid than Colin Farrell though. He's making some very good moves in the industry right now. I picture him widening his acting to drama in the future.

When young actors start smoking, I always wonder if it was one of their older co-stars that got them started. Like maybe Shia bummed his first smoke off Keanu or something.

I take it a lot more actors and actresses smoke then we know about, huh?

Oh, yeah. EVERYBODY (at least the young people) smokes on the set. It's a bit sickening, to be honest. What did all those anti-smoking classes since second grade teach them?

Transformers 2 Barricade(s) Spotted
Source: Derek March 28, 2008
Film School Rejects was sent a few photos of three Saleens with the Barricade decals being towed around in Culver City. Is Michael Bay getting ready to start shooting the Transformers sequel already? You can view more pics by clicking the photo below.

Either they are starting the prep for filming or Bay and Co are really trying to mess with our heads this time round.
If it's the former then we now know that at least Ironhide and Ratchet have the same forms as the first movie

cool i guess, though i don't think this means anything. probably just transporting the vehicles in prep for whenever they DO need them.

I'm really hoping this means they are prepping stunts and probably getting the cars back in top shape for the action shots that will be called upon them. I really hoped we had a shot in the first movie where all the Autobots drove through the desert all aligned, one next to the other and we see the shot from far with them shinning in the distance above the horizon. There's a shot like that on one of the comic book covers i think.

It'll be interesting to see if any new vehicles appear on one of these low loader trucks.
Might be an indication of new characters. *Starts looking for a pink bike on a truck*

Exactly although im worried now that they might put some covers over the cars, specially the new ones since people are onto them.
Dr Lee
03-28-2008, 09:34 PM
Don't think that'll work though. Someone, somewhere will just trawl the web looking for any shillouets... damn my spelling..... that match up to the tarped cars. Also only covering the new cars would attrat more attention to them than no covering them, imho

Thanks knowsbleed! I'm digging around the web to try and find more pictures/info/proof of activity. So far i noticed that BB Camaro was at the NY auto show this year. I saw some pictures dating around the 20th of march. Now i assume if something is truly going on we might spot the Camaro in or around LA sometimes soon. Unless there's an airport close to the location the are sending the cars at and they dont need to transport it by truck. Should be interesting to say the least. So far no pink motorcycle or grey Pontiac Solstice.
The Freak
03-28-2008, 10:26 PM
Hopefully we'll start seeing some new vehicles with some older ones. I'm guesssing however that if we do see new vehicles that are not tarped then I'd say its safe to assume that that car is being used to throw us off.
