I found it in the Disney Store at my local mall. I think the merchandise is gonna hit the regular retail stores very soon though. Going to retail may be the better way to go because the Disney Store's prices are slightly higher

Elec-TRON-ica is the attraction/park, the club in the area is called "End of the Line Club" and they sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I'm assuming it's an actual night club for adults then? I hope so cause I'd love to go there - hahaha. This park opens tomorrow night.

Cool that Tron Night is also going international. Avatar Day was great but we had to wait quite a while to find out that the footage would also be shown in the Netherlands.
I'm hoping that they have more details on when and where the footage will be shown.

Still it does make me wonder if there is pressure for Disney to really make Tron a huge movie at the BO. They're really going all out with the promotion.
I think after Alice in Wonderland ,they're last big hit was TS3. All other movies weren't succesful at the BO.
Also what are the BO numbers that Disney is going for. The budget of Tron is 200 million ( est.). I'm guessing that marketing is higher then 100 million. I mean Tron night , the promotions at DIsney land , merchandise. What is a good number ? 150 ...200 million ?

the reason it must be Pg13 is because there is some fighting. in a PG movie they can not show full contact fights. so everytime someone punches they cut away .now add the disc fighting and the katana fight and it would be a disaster IMO.

It is only pixels, no blood and most of the characters are programs. I am more concerned about Quorra/Olivia Wild naked shoulders, so much flesh to be deal with by the MPAA :)

Ok, so I went to Tron Night few hours ago, and can give you detailed description of the scenes.

First, the movie looks really cool. The music is just perfect for the film, and the CGI and sound are top notch.

The scenes where from the first half of the movie

SPOILERS (will give brief description).

First scene: Sam and the other guy from the trailer talking in Sam’s house (wherehouse?). Told him that he get the page from he’s father.
Sam goes there, and as in the trailer get ‘teleported’ in The Grid (Tron’s world).

Second scene: Sam is captured and send for fighting in the games. He’s striped by four hot girls, and given the new ‘Tron’ costume. Then he’s given a disk.

Third scene: He fights with a dude in a ‘disc fight’. He wins.

Fourth scene: The one now online: with Olivia Wilde in the cool car but extended: She takes him to he’s father. There’s hugs and stuff.

We also have a quick montage of scenes at the end.

END SPOILERS

I really liked that Olivia’s character act like a program, not as some badass girl.

Just returned from iTron Night.

I'd give the overall presentation a 8/10 as oppsed to Avatar's 9/5/10
It's a collection of scenes.
THe footage starts with the 2d scenes of Sam and Alan. Sam goes to the Arcade and types some stuff in dad's old computer and starts ups the laser.
The scene then cuts to the 3d COMIC-CON footage of Tron being picked up by a recogniser , taken away and selected to fight in the games.He's given the tron clothes and disc.
Next scene is him fighting with a contestant and ultimately winning.
Next scene is QUARRA escaping with Sam and leaving the grid , going to old Flynn where son and dad meet for the first time.
The footage ends small scenes of the lightcycles dueling , glimpses of lightjets etc.

I think the main difference with the avatar footage was the avatar footage had longer scenes whereas the tron footage wasn't very long. At least in terms of running lenghth of the scenes.

But the visuals were just jawdropping. The 3d was amazing . It's on par with avatar in terms of CG realism but my god the visuals are so different and slick.

I only found out about TRON Night just now, since I saw a post on ONTD about it. :funny: (Obviously am not keeping up with the ARG...) The post mentioned that the theater in Estonia was only half-full, was that the case for you?

I'm considering going to the local theater as a standby, since I'm just not finding a lot of hype about it. It wasn't publicized like Avatar, and I think Avatar had a lot of screens for its preview as well. (I went and my theater was only a little more than half full.) I've only been to pre-release footage screenings for TDK, and those were sold out through and through because they only booked 20 theaters at most. :funny:

I've been waiting and waiting for this movie (sixteen months of post production) that I am losing interest in seeing this movie. I know this sounds crazy! I'm almost at the point of just waiting to see it on Blu-ray. What's another five months at this point! I was lucky enough to get tickets to see the footage and was very impressed with the action, soundtrack and the 3D visuals. As for the acting...both Hedlund and Wilde were solid and Bridges is just great in the one (emotional) scene we're shown. :up:

You're lucky because we got nothing at the screening here! It was free (i know) but i still i thought Disney could have whipped out something extra for the people that made effort to come. Digital Domain did a fantastic job on tron 2. they are doung one of the best CGI hair.

Flipping through channels, saw a Tron Legacy tv spot and stopped. Turns out it wasn't a tv spot, but some sort of short behind the scenes thing. Olivia Wilde was on it and she said to tune in tomorrow for "Tron Legacy sneek peak" night on Disney channel. They showed the scene when the ladies suit up Sam for the first time, but there was some footage I hadn't seen. They attached his disc to his back and when it locked in, his eyes lit up for a second and then one of the girls said "Disc activated... proceed to the games".

It was new to me, so I thought I'd mention it here. Might be something to watch if they keep showing what seems to be new stuff. "Derezzed" was playing in the background of the ad, so I figured it had to be somewhat new.

I missed what time it was going to start tomorrow, but it was definitely on disney channel.

Tron: Uprising is coming to TV.
November 4, 2010
by Eric Goldman Tron is making the leap to TV. With the release of Tron: Legacy a few weeks away, Variety reports that Disney is producing a new animated series, Tron: Uprising, which will premiere Summer 2012.

Airing on Disney XD, the series will be executive produced and directed by Charlie Bean (Samurai Jack). The voice cast will include Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens and Lance Henriksen, with Bruce Boxleitner reprising his role from the films as Tron.

Tron: Uprising will be proceeded by a previously announced Disney XD 10-episode Tron "microseries", airing fall 2011.

Disney XD has also ordered the new live-action comedy Wasabi Warriors, described by Variety as being about, "a ragtag group of kids at the worst martial arts studio in the country."

The body is of an young actor, and only the face is 100% CG. Part from the voice Jeff made facial recordings etc. The same as with Benjamin Button.
