Barakh means "blessed" in Arabic. Hussein is obviously an Arabic name. They are "Islamic names" if you will, Barack's father was from an Islamic background. Obama is, I guess, African. Its not an Arabic name I've ever heard.

Actually it's a myth that you have to swear on the Bible as other politicians have replaced it with another book of their choosing...the Qu'ran for example.

And the "founders" of this nation did not found it on Christian morals. Read Thomas Jefferson's letters, he outright makes fun of Christians (and while it's true he carried a Bible around with him, it's also true he ripped out all but about three pages because he deemed them dangerous and irrational). Franklin was a flat out athiest and Washington and Adams were both Deists. They founded it on the basis of "natural right". The only reference to "God" in the constitution is to "Nature's God" which is a philosophical term used to describe natural right not a Christian God.

My opinion is; just the thought of a minority, particularly someone black, doing anything that involves having more of something than a white person (whether it's in political, entertainment, or anything else) will usually cause a few white folks to shake in their boots. And the "founders" of this nation did not found it on Christian morals. Read Thomas Jefferson's letters, he outright makes fun of Christians (and while it's true he carried a Bible around with him, it's also true he ripped out all but about three pages because he deemed them dangerous and irrational). Franklin was a flat out athiest and Washington and Adams were both Deists. They founded it on the basis of "natural right". The only reference to "God" in the constitution is to "Nature's God" which is a philosophical term used to describe natural right not a Christian God.

The Bible is not the truth, you could prove it as the truth, and it is filled with inerrancies, inaccuracies and contradictions. It is a largely allegorical document written by people who lacked notions of post-enlightenment thought like "facts" and "reason" (which were not even considered until about the 18th century as dominant forms of thinking). I don't consider it inferior, like most would. However I very much see it for what it is.

And that's when I started to get extremely angry.

I'm just getting angrier as I type this. The thread on homosexuality really did it for me. One of them was asking for tips and points on how to argue against homosexuality (you'd think the fact that they have to ask for points would give them a clue). Anyway, people replied with their standard "I'm a white, religious moron who doesn't know what he's talking about and just repeats what he hears from fellow rednecks" responses (i.e. it's in the Bible, they cannot reproduce, or it spreads disease), and some even posted links to a website called the Family Research Institution (http://www.familyresearchinst.org/index.html). I clicked on the links and read, and I seriously cannot believe what some these webpages say! I mean, seriously, first of all, most of the information on the website is outdated, and then some of it has never even been scientifically proven as fact, but the site promotes it like it has! And then these ****ed up animals read this information and regurgitate it like monkeys! The majority of pedophiles are actually heterosexual, but this website conveniently ignores this fact and jumps with joy every time there is an account of homosexual, pedophilic behavior.

Now, I'm a fairly conservative person, but I just might vote for Obama out of spite, too.

I am actually more surprised that there are people like you that don't know about the whole racist movement thing. Well lets face it, the guy got to serve about half-a-term (not even). No president is great in that little time. He may have gone on to be one of the greatest, he may have also floundered horribly. Nobody has yet to mention his handeling of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Nearly everyone in EX-COMM was urging Kennedy to launch air strikes on Cuba and then invade. Little did they know, Kruschev had ordered Soviet field commanders in Cuba to launch tactical nuclear missiles at the first sign of an aggressive American response to their presence there. When Kennedy went public with the crisis on Monday, October 22nd, even the Senate urged him to launch air stirkes. He refused and stood by his decision to quarantine the island. Kennedy correctly feared that if he did what he was being advised to do, there would be a response from the Soviets of the most dire measures. Cooler heads prevailed, and Kruschev backed down. If someone else had been President who knows what would've happened, but I can guess what would've if Nixon had won in '60.

I was thinking of the horribly executed Bay of Pigs Invasion, a Congress that did not want to work with him, getting us more involved in Vietnam, and the chaos going on due to the Civil Rights Movement (Kennedy was forced to send troops to continue integration, the hoses and dogs police used against harmless African-American protesters, etc).

The Bay of Pigs was ordered by President Eisenhower, and planned by Allen Dulles and the CIA. The CIA had concluded before the invasion was launched that it would most likely fail without U.S. military involvement. That information was never given to Kennedy when he approved the operation in '61. Thusly, when the CIA urged him to use our military, he refused believing he was being misled. He took public responsibility after the fiasco and then fired Allen Dulles and many other high ranking officials in the CIA.

Kennedy would've ended the Vietnam War by Christmas of 1965. At a SecDef conference held in Honolulu, November 20-21, 1962, plans for withdrawl were laid out. The training and equiping of South Vietnamese forces were to be accelerated and 1000 U.S. military advisors were to be withdrawn by December of 1963. Kennedy would've waited until after the election of 1964 to withdraw all U.S. forces from Vietnam, fearing that if he did so before the election, he would be blamed for losing the war. Kennedy privately thought we could not win the war in Vietnam, but he had to publically remain optimistic about it in order to justify its handing over to the South Vietnamese and the withdrawl of American forces. He drafted the Civil Rights Act, which was passed by President Johnson after Kennedy's assasination. I cannot understand how Kennedy can be criticized when he was the first president to address the Civil Rights crisis with legislation.

I was really high last night, and when I took another look at Stormfront.org, I completely convinced myself that it was the Anti-Hype.
