Transformers 2 "Unslotted"?

While DreamWorks/Paramount previously announced that Transformers would be released on June 26, 2009, The Hollywood Reporter (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3ic850f8926b4343a61112623e2f8e1a32?pn=2) is claiming the Michael Bay sequel now has no date:
Some will suggest that DreamWorks' production operations will be upended if Steven Spielberg and David Geffen bolt Par when their personal contracts expire in November. But the pair remain actively engaged in several ongoing projects, including the as-yet-unslotted "Transformers 2."
Is the Hollywood trade paper correct? Perhaps the writers strike is having an affect on the script? Hopefully we'll find out soon.

....weird....maybethe strike did affect the release of Transformers 2. But remember what Bay said: " i will no send false information to the internet to fool those people who sees leaks of scripts and info. Now I'll create fake scripts and fake info to prevent the real script from being discovered." - Michael Bay

While it's probably true I wouldn't mind this just being a random thing thrown out by Bay to mislead fans.

you know i didn't think of it that way, but you're right. Bay posted a new blog at his web site saying there will be alot more robots this time, i hope thats not a bad thing.

I came across this posting for TF2 on the Hoyts cinema website, when I was cruising around and seeing what films are coming out later this year. Interesting synopsis.
