Lee Byung Hun is a fantastic actor. Just checked out a couple of his movies and BOY were they good. You guys should check out 'A Bittersweet Life'. Killer performance. I also learned that he is the main character in the xbox360 game Lost Planet.

He will do my favorite GI character justice... That's for sure.

As an Asian person myself, it's not too big a deal, especially for a movie that's supposed to be good fun, like GI Joe. Most of the James Bonds were of Celtic, not English descent. Nicole Kidman has played a Russian woman, Leo DiCaprio has played many non-Italian characters, and Tom Cruise has played mainly human beings in his career, when he's clearly from somewhere else ...

Well, it doesn't matter what ethnicity you are. It all depends on skin color and appearance. Europeans play Americans all the time... same thing.
Fact is, there aren't too many Japanese in Hollywood. Had there been many Japanese actors that fit the part, sure they would've been cast.

I feel the same way, and I really hate the jacket outfit that SS is wearing. I was hoping that he'd borrow the look from Sigma Six or one of this classic outfits, but aside from the white mask, he really looks nothing like his action figures. This is a big let-down.

Yes there are some comic versions of Storm Shadow with sleeves but this classic look is far more menacing looking to me.

Now THIS is classic Storm Shadow. It shouldn't be hard to duplicate this look for the movie, but it seems like they think they are too smart and decided to change his costume. What a mistake.

It's a vast improvement over what was leaked. The jacket is the key problem, it needs to go - adding the mask helped, but not much.

if you watch "bittersweet life" you will know hes a well built dude...plus you will see just how damn good his acting is (dunno if we will get to see it much in Joe tho)

U know, i dnt mind them switchin' things up, but it would make more sense if they save this to later movies (If they decide to do more) It would of made sense to start off with the basics (so to speak), then evolved during other installments....

I don't really have a problem with the uniform for SS looking like it does on the front of that comic book. The one problem i have with it is that the materials used to make it, look really cheap. Like thin bed sheets sown together or something. Yeah, he can probably move around in it easily cause of it's light weight, but it offers no protection for him against cuts, like SE uniform does.
