Just to let you know Adage thinks a SB trailer for 'Wanted' is very possible!

The TV spot looks okay. I'd just like to see more than exaggerated shootouts.

Looks better than the initial theatrical trailer. Makes me a bit more interested in this film now, but I'm still unsure if it's gonna rock my socks off.

woah!!! amazing!
lmao @ goodbye bullet =D
cant wait!
Wow. Um. That looks really really lame and corny and cheesy.
Angelina Jolie looks stupid. Morgan Freeman is beyond this crap.
But it does look better than the Speed Racer trailer.
Neither of which are worth seeing.

Hell of a nice shot of Angelina! You know what I'm talking about ;-)

Meh. Would've been a glorious shot if she didn't look so damn emaciated. Shame, that's a real sexy shot of her body and tattoos too. :(
Anyway, the spot definitely did it's job. Makes it out to be a sfx fest that will have some fun action in it. I'm sure the audience will like it.

This film looks like trash.

This looks great! You know, action movies just don't have enough slow motion bullets, guys shooting two guns in different directions, or scenes with old african-american men teaching naive young white guys how to use their abilities to become total badasses! It's a really fresh approach to the genre!

The fact that they're trying to pass this off as "Wanted" with a straight face is insulting.
Oh, and for the record, Morgan Freeman is NOT beyond this crap. Take a look at his resume. In terms of movie quality, it's a mixed bag. In terms of performance quality, it's always Morgan Freeman doing the same damn Morgan Freeman thing. Same performance over and over again.

Saw the Superbowl trailer and while it was okay, I liked the first trailer I saw some weeks ago better. That one at least gave some idea of what the story is, this really didn't tell us much about the plot.
Saw the ad again tonight on large screen tv, and....still stupid looking.
Trying waaaayyyyyy too hard to be the Matrix.
GOD! I thought the film industry was way beyond that now!
Oh, and Angelina Jolie still looks very stupid in the role. She doesn't even look hot, she looks sickly.
Major thumbs down on this one.

it was only 30 sec long. the other one was around 2 mins. They'll probably release another long one.

I liked the trailers. I can understand how people would be pissed...but I find it pretty funny. It will provide good eye candy though.

well through a fan of the original comic(s) point of view I can see how their pissed about this movie straying far from the comic/original version but to a comic-to-film guy who hasn't read it yet, I wanna see this movie pretty bad. It looks entertaining. I think though most of the scenes looked waaaay too far fetched.

First of all, this was a 30-second commercial - not a 2+ minute trailer.
Secondly, I don't see why everyone's comparing this to The Matrix. The film is nothing like The Matrix.

An alternate reality that exists right in front of you, but you only have to recognize it, and it showed bullet time. Seems pretty close.

Definitely. Funny thing is- if they gave us the REAL Wanted film it would be guaranteed to be a smash hit: super villain organization who wiped Heroes out? UNIQUE. NEW. BAD ASS.
It could have been the new Fight Club- sorta- damn it!!! :cmad:

First of all, It's not other Reallity, it's the same reality, but only a few can acess the secrets of it.
Second of all, how would you want then to show the hability to curve the bullet without slow-motion?

You're nitpicking. It IS a copy of the Matrix. A special-effects driven movie about a dull guy living a dull life with a dull corporate job involving computers who is sought out by a beautiful and mysterious woman who introduces him to him to this whole world he didn't know exists, where unlocks his own badass potential and has bullet-time sequences.
It's essentially the same movie, with James McAvoy as Neo, Anjelina Jolie as Trinity, and Morgan Freeman as Morpheus.
And it's not just the plot; it's the feel. The movie trailer FEELS like the Matrix. The comic had plot similarities, but it didn't feel at all like The Matrix. Oh, and Wanted-in-Name-Only has been completely sapped of everything that made Wanted Wanted, and NOT the Matrix.

Only you and a few ''feeled'' Matrix. I Only saw a movie about a ordinary guy in a extraordinary situation.
Besides, the ''computer enterprise'' is not important on the movie. it's just the most commun job in the america. Fox also talked with him on the comics, and stop talking about the bullet time, they're showing how they curve the freakin bullets!
Geez, some of you guys have Matrix on the brain. Do you consider Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man the "same movie" just because they all feature superheroes? And Matrix wasn't the first flick to use the "bullet time" effect. Are all movies that use the same effect copies?
You have to get over it: Wanted-the-movie is nothing like Wanted-the-comic. A straight adaptation of the Wanted comic could never, ever be made in Hollywood. Whether good or bad, you'll enjoy this much more if you just accept it as an action film.
...
I saw the trailer... just shook my head n' switched it off.
this isn't Wanted.
if you think otherwise... yeah okay. jolie naked. bullets. freeman with a gun.
Curve the bullet? He's the ****ing killer. Wes SHOOTS you. You DIE.
I am seriously not watching this. ever.

Besides the fact that it appears to me to be a Matrix rip-off, and the fact that they could have made an awesome movie had they remained faithful to the source, this movie still looks terrible.

I just want to say that I don't know a thing about the source material so...I'm not complaining about it being unfaithful, I'm complaining about it because it looks like a Matrix ripoff and thats just pathetic. That movie came out almost 10 years ago, get over it H-wood!

Okay, I do hate it for being a pitiful adaptation of the source material, but, let's pretend it wasn't a comic, and judge it as a film.
It's stupid. He curves an f-ing bullet. This looks like a horrible cross of "Matrix" and "Equilibrium"...completely devoid of the first bit of originality.
Also, the scene where the car skids, the door opens, and it scoops him up without causing the first bit of harm to the guy....retarded. No other word for it. His ankles would be horribly broken....if he wasn't whacked by the car door and ran the f*** over.
Ugh...WINO, it shall be.

I think this is a shame. I mean this comic book should not have been that hard to adapt to film as they have made it. Granted we the fans hard to wait almost 2 to 3 months for the last 2 issues, but to write this movie off of the first issue without really knowing nothing about the story is just plain sad.

Considering what the comicbook was all about, it would have required a very bold and creative production team to pull off.
Bold and creative = risk/$$$ to H-wood. Something they aren't very fond of.
I haven't read the comicbook, but if you could compare it to another film, just to use as a visual or genre reference what would it be. From the images I saw posted in another thread I got a very dark vibe. Maybe a little Hellboy, Crow or Dark City kinda vibe.

I don't know what trailer some of you watched, but the trailer I saw was good and does make me want to see this movie.
They have never ever made any movie exactly the way the comic is so don't expect it!
Every single comic book movie seriously strays away from the source material. When I first saw Batman Begins, I couldn't believe they got away with calling an actor in a horribly raggedy cheap looking mask the Scarecrow? They could of put the guy in a seriously creepy looking costume and really made him a villian to fear, but what did we get, just a guy in a very bad mask, nothing else just a mask?
I'll share one more, Ben Grimm the Thing from Fantastic Four. The scene in the movie where Reed Richards ask him to lift up that big Wheel looking structure and The Thing says I'll try, in the comics doing something like that is a piece of cake for The Thing, he is way way stronger than they portray him in the movie.
My point is they never ever make the movie the way the comic really is, you all should know this by now.
I've never thought that Jolie was that good looking, and Jessica Alba has lost way too much weight as well, she looked better when she had more weight.
