Whoo, first thread in the new forum :D

Ok, what stories from the comic book would you like to see done on screen? Since practically every character in the Spider-Man mythos seems to be in this show, the sky's the limit.

Personally, I'd love to see:

- The Sinister Six. Done properly this time, with Ock as the leader. No bloody Kingpin running the show all the time.
- The Master Planner saga
- Death of Captain Stacy

God, like...ALL OF THEM? (or at least the first 364 issues of ASM, lol)...

1) Amazing Spider-Man #3. If for no other reason, then just to see Ock slap Peter's smart mouth and teach him some respect. :word: We didnt get that scene in the movie.

2) The Sinister Six, with the ORIGINAL Six...at least for the first adaption...

3) Spidey trying to join the Fantastic Four would be cool, but i know Weisman says he wants to steer away from crossovers for the first season...plus, i dont know if there's any legal stuff with FOX that they'd have to work out...still would love to see that Spidey/ Torch rivalry on the small screen though...:ff:

4) Death of Gwen and Death of Captain Stacy. Very curious if they will do either, and to what extent. Is the Saturday morning viewing audience ready to see a superhero who fails? Very interesting....

5) The Master Planner is a MUST. I'd hate to be the artist(s) in charge of adapting that famous scene....Ditko rules.

So many more to choose from....

I'd love to see the entire symbiote comic book arcs developed into one season with it being just like the comic book version or at least 90% resembling it.

Well, we are getting a few episodes of Peter in the Symbiote suit, so that is a very good thing. I can see it now, it's so great to be a Venom fan.

Yep, it sure is. I want to see Peter become really evil before disbanding the symbiote, it's going to be really badass.

We need to at least get two or three episodes of him with the symbiote. Hopefully we'll get something similar to what we saw in SM-3, just longer. I also hope to see a lot more of Venom than we saw in the 90's series.

Yeah. I hope he does something similar to what he did in the 90s series where he nearly killed shocker by making him fall off a building

I also hope they use the comic symbiote/venom design since it is a lot cooler than the movie version.

A version of "The Return of the Sinister Six".
Kraven's Last Hunt
A Version of ASM #11-12

And possibly a version of "Web of Death" as well (with the exception being Ock not getting killed off). Reason being, is I kinda dug Stunner. And I say if Joker can have his Harley. Ock should very well have his Stunner. ;)

If this cartoon isn't too kiddy (which it probably will be), I expect to see something even darker happen with the symbiote.

That would be a huge waste of an episode or knowing these cartoon shows, an arc that lasts more than 2 episodes. I'd rather we get an episode that is dedicated to Peter's parents. Sort of like a tribute episode.

-Master Planner Saga

-Green Goblin vs The Crime Master ASM #23,26,27 "The Goblin and The Gangsters" (Goblin trying to go for the underworld crime thing would be an interesting reason for Goblin to start hating Spidey)

-The Beetle (whatever happen to him?)

-When they do the symbiote saga he should have the suit for more than a few episodes IMO like six episodes would be cool. 2 were he likes the suit, 2 were he starts getting evil and suspicious of the suit, and 2 episodes of him trying to get rid of the suit leading to Venom's origin. Sadly I doubt he'll have the suit long, Venom shouldn't be in first season but I get the feeling he will be.

-Original Sinister Six

-Kraven's Last Hunt. He wouldn't have to commit suicide for it to work too, just give up crime or the hunt. He wouldn't have to "kill" spidey either just put him in a cage for awhile or something. It's a kid show but the story could still work.

he went legit and joijned a team called the Thunderbolts. When Civil War hit the superhero community, he registered with the government and currently oversees a group of three teen-agers who wear three different versions of the Beetle armor...

That sounds like a great idea, but the symbiote will be having a four-episode arc, so what would suit my fancy is four episodes just with Spider-Man with the suit becoming evil and possibly a cliffhanger with the symbiote finding Brock. Perfect ending and suitable because it's good development with the new and evil Spider-Man, plus it'll be a great season premiere and could be two-episodes worth if they do it right of Spidey vs. Venom.

...not a fan of comic books, but could anyone tell me what the 'Master Planner' saga is about?

the master planner was an alternate persona for dr otto octavius doc ock himself
he used it to divert suspicion from hin in a series of crimes

They are but each episode could stand as a stand alone episode too. For example, Peter get black suit but there may be other villains to fight in multiple episodes too while he wears the black suit. Those could be stand alone eps but it will tie up into a story arc eventually when Peter loses the black suit and Venom is born...and the whole symbiote saga and what not.

Well hopefully this won't be too wimpy and just meant for 8 year olds. I'd like to see the Gwen story happen, but I'm sure that won't be possible.

Unless they do a dvd movie branching out from the series.

It looks like they'll be doing the Venom saga, I hope that is done well.

I just hope they adapt the Green Goblin story better than the 90's show, it was just not good enough.

The Jackal and the Clone Saga.
Make a season of it, I say. We've seen just about all the other major storylines. Shake it up.\

And before you say things like "That's the lamest villain/story ever", don't make me bring up some of Spidey's past plotlines.
Remember the 90's animated series, when the black suit was going all crazy and Spidey was taking it out on Shocker in the bell tower?

Do you remember in the comics, who originally was at the end of the stick in that scene?

That's right, the Vulturions.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/vulturions.jpg

And that's just the beginning. There are good storylines in the Saga, despite it's sullied name. I'd like to see some of the presented in a new format.

Yeah, it would be ridiculous if the series DIDN'T do an adaptation of the Master Planner Saga as that was one of THE quintessential Spider-Man stories ever made. And you can bet that there's going to be a Sinister Six episode down the road, which will be interesting considering how it's been established that the Vulture and Doc Ock know each other (and it would be great if both of them kept trying to one up each other for leadership rights). I don't know how they could possibly do a Death of Gwen Stacy for this series, even though it's an integral part of the Spidey mythos, but I can picture a Death of Captain Stacy, in only to have the dynamic of having Gwen blame Spider-Man for what happened to her dad not knowing that he's really Peter.

I'd like to see an adaption of MJ telling Peter she knows he's Spider-Man. That was in issues of ASM #257-258. Actually, I even liked the Puma and wouldn't mind seeing him in this series.

Aunt May telling Peter she knows he's Spider-Man. ASM v2, #38 is one of my fav Spidey comics.

The "nullifier" story (I forget what it's called). Spidey losing his memory and teaming up with Doc Ock? Golden.

is the master planner saga the one where ock has his lair under water and there is a classic scene with spidey under this big metal block with water gushing in and through sheer force of will he throws the block off?

also is that the one where spidey is dead on his feet and basically takes a beating from doc ocks henchmen to take a 'breather' then wildly strikes out with the last panel spidey still swining punches unaware his foes have all been knocked out?

there are two episodes I am desperate to see

a) JJJ as a spider slayer (that was classic)

b) spidey v the juggernaught (which would be like spidey rhino x1000)
