Aside from the various Spider-Man alumni native to the Spidey mythos (Punisher, Black Cat, Cloak & Dagger, etc.,) what OTHER Marvel character do you want to see appear on the show first..?

Since Spider-Man and the Human Torch seem to team up a good amount of time such as in the Marvel Team Up series, Amazing Spider-Man Issue #19, and more, the Human Torch should appear first. Their team ups have always been fantastic.

Daredevil is a boring character to me, I really want to see the Hulk in this show.

Spider-ManHero12

Well, I think that if the Hulk is in the show, it would be cool for them to battle. It would sort of be like in ASM Issue #'s 119 and 120.

It definately needs to be human torch, because him and Spidey go way back and have always been friends.

I wouldn't want Daredevil first, but I would really want to see him, especially if they could put him in the Death of Jean DeWolff arc, which I assume is happening since both she and Stan Carter have been confirmed. Greg Weisman did mention in an interview like a year ago that he considers the Fantastic Four already in action, so Human Torch could very well be it.

Have Cloak and Dagger ever been animated? Even if they aren't valid choices I think it would be cool to see them. By the way I choice the Human Torch. I think it should be him or Iron Man.

I second that! Cloak would look AMAZING animated, and Dagger wouldn't be bad herself... Based on what they've said about this series, I'm guessing we'll see just about EVERY Spidey villain...

Well, they started off at odds with each other, but eventually became strong allies. In fact, Spidey, Cloak, and Dagger were all part of Captain America's resistance in the recent Civil War storyline...

I'd like to see Daredevil for sure, that's a must. I just always thought they looked cool side by side.
Then an X-Men team-up, but mainly the original X-men, Cyclops, Jean, Beast and IceMan.
Maybe a Wolverine team up but just him on his own with Spidey. I'm just a bit tired of the over exposure of Wolvie.

Also, Ironman.

To be honest, I'd prefer to see this Spidey animated series remain like the movies and just have Spidey by himself without a bunch of superhero guest stars. That could work, but in the comics, there had come times when Spidey had to team up with a hero to fight a Villian or something. Such as Nnightcrawler, he was a cross over in the Spidey universe.

I would like to see Tony Stark/Iron Man appear as a threat to parker. Maybe something along the lines of (but not as serious or grande a scale as) civil war where he sees spider-man as a careless vigilante of some sort and fury wants to take him for questioning or tests having iron man work along side shield perhaps. Its just with the animation and how good the fights scenes are in this show i keep thinking how much i love to watch pete and tony duke it out..it would look great in the show.

cerealkiller182

Daredevil

Makes the most sense since Kingpin is equally the same threat to both heroes. Also I feel like Blade will show up before other more popular Marvel characters. He seems to be associated with Spidey a lot for almost no reason.Iguess they find a common villain with Morbius

MattXG

I think the list of possibilities goes something like this...

Wolverine (Its Wolverine. Marvel sticks him everywhere and the two have a rather rich history together)
Iceman
Firestar (Probably a definite "Amazing Friends" episode)
Kitty Pryde (Could go the Ultimate route in a later season)
Human Torch (A real regular in the Ultimate Universe)
Hulk (Movie factor)
Iron Man (could the new Iron Man show pose a problem?)

I seriously doubt we'll be seeing Captain America anytime soon. He's dead in the comics for one thing and he's been replaced by a character that's less than Saturday morning friendly....

Blacklight
03-18-2008, 06:44 AM
I voted Cap. Although I'd like to see a Spidey, Iceman and Human Torch teamup. Torch was supposed to be in Amazing Friends originally, but they didn't have the rights, so that's why I'd pick him instead of Firestar.

DD. I've always liked dynamic between Spidey and DD... But some Human Torch-teamups have made me smile. Human Torch might also be more suitable for a cartoon. ( Expect if DD has his yellow uniform.) :woot:

screw all this, get deadpool in, and have them make fun of each other for the whole ep.

Doesn't mean they can't use Steve Rogers. By this reasoning they shouldn't even be using Gwen since she's dead too.

Personally, if they do any team ups it should be in a later season, Spidey should have the spotlight for now. However I would love to see a guest appearance by either Cap, Torch or Daredevil if they ever decide to do so.

Maybe, but one of Spider-Man's most famous storys involved him trying desperately to halt a rampage by the Juggernaut, a being with Hulk-like strength and invulnerability...

Spidey and The Hulk have met numerous times in the comics, but nothing too memorable has ever come of it...

Well, a recent interview with Greg pretty much put the kibosh on any chances of Human Torch or Daredevil showing up any time soon, as the rights for those characters are with other studios...

Now im not sure we can get Punisher either, as he has a movie coming out at the end of the year at Lionsgate...

Maybe Ghost Rider? Sony has those rights, iirc...:ghost:

This, not so encouraging. :csad:

Sucks about DD and Torch too. I hate how the liscensing works. Can't they just sell the rights conditionally? ie, "you can have the rights to make a DD movie (and sequels), but that is all". It sems Marvel would actually be doing the movie studios a favor, because by being able to put these characters in cartoons, the studios would be getting free publicity.

I think the first season should be solely Spiderman stories; the second season have crossovers with characters closer to Spidey, like the Punisher, Cloak, and Dagger; then the third season and on, can have occasional appearances of other characters, such as Iron Man, Human Torch, and Daredevil.
