An experienced SD/Pitt/Jag/Indy team can easily go in there and knock the Bills/Broncos off... it's week 4 people. Let's see those teams go 7-2, 9-3 before we call them Superbowl contenders.

Miamis offense beat us a bunch of trick plays. Theres a reason the Phins lost to the Jets, who we beat. I have not been that impressed with the Broncos outside of Cutler and Marshall. I see a 27-17 win or something like that for the Pats. I see our dline shutting down Cutler (and therefore, Marshall) for the most part while we control the clock and tempo. Its Monday Night Football at Denver, and we'll be 3-2, 2nd in our division, and be the underdogs by a lot. I see it as a statement game, not a joke like they clearly thought Miami was.
This is all assuming they go the direction they need with their gameplan; a direction I do think their going.

Oh, come on. A defense stacked with veterans who've been to numerous Super Bowl's do not need an offense to "pump" them up. Yes, it may occasionally give a team a much needed boost, but the Patriots are way beyond that.

Plax retaliates with grievance against Giants
Plaxico Burress has filed a grievance with the NFL against the Giants for suspending him one game and docking him two weeks of pay.
T.O. II? Their hard-line stance with Burress is admirable, especially after just giving him a new contract, but the Giants may need to back down a bit. They can afford the missed game at 3-0, but will certainly need Burress to defend their title in the NFL's most difficult division. Agent Drew Rosenhaus says his client was tending to a family matter when he missed a team meeting and intends to get Burress reinstated after the Giants' bye. Sep. 24 - 1:53 pm et

Cassel has to get his **** together, I never bought into the "Cassel can do it" syndrome, I bought into the "He wont have to" but if we go in with an idiotic gameplan ala last week/if Maroney or Moss have to miss significant time, we are in major trouble. But thats a huuuuge if.

1. He would throw touchdowns...to the other team.
2. You can call it a fluke if it's by a field goal or a last second victory, but Miami put an ol' fashioned take-you-out-to-the-tool-shed beating on the Pats, and it's no coincidence that even throughout their various Super Bowl runs, the Dolphins have given the Patriots a tough time when they meet. Why all this hype over Atlanta all of a sudden? Yes, Michael Turner is pretty damn good at what he does. Yes, Ryan has been impressive, but both of their wins are against KC and Detroit! Those are the worst 2 teams in the NFL!
Odd as it may sound, that actually is a sign of hope. Had Vick still been here, we would have found a way to lose to KC and Detroit.

The whole new generation of running QB's in this league is as good as dead... first Vick flushes himself down the toilet... not that he was any good in the first place... now guys like Tavaris Jackson who can't get out of their own way. Vince Young who has been in this league for like 3 years who is already completely broken down mentally. The media played it out like we were going to get this revolution at the QB position... not to be.

Tavaris Jackson should have never been starting in the first place. He was a project QB from the start. Vince Young was always questioned, out of college the big knock was his throwing style, but that BCS caused his stock to rise.

It may upset quite a few fans around the league and no doubt, the fools from PETA, but this is a guy that (though overrated) was considered one of the better QB's in the NFL. You don't think a team's like KC, Detroit, among others, would be very interested in giving the guy, at the very least, a shot at making the team? I don't think it would cost a team much to bring him in either. Just the veteran minimum which is like $850,000. And since it is not guaranteed, if it doesn't work out so be it.
A buddy of mine was invited to the Pats camp for the veteran minimum along with a $40,000 signing bonus. Of course he got cut 2 weeks later, so $40,000 for two weeks of work isn't too bad. I am sure any team would give Vick a signing bonus like that and if it isn't in the cards, they can cut their loses with minimal damage to the cap #.

Whether or not there are more charges awaiting him when he's released is besides the point. Let's say he's a free man and is reinstated by dictator Fidel Goodell. You don't think there is ONE team out of 32 that may have even the slightest interest in trying him out? Not signing him to a deal. Trying him out.
Sure, he may not be the same Michael Vick that can scramble from one endzne to the other, but he's not going to lose his speed or skill. COULD MILLEN LAND IN OAKLAND?
Posted by Michael David Smith on September 27, 2008, 5:54 p.m. EDT
It sounds like a joke, the idea that Matt Millen could finally stop running the Detroit Lions into the ground and then move on to another dysfunctional franchise.
But it might make sense that an owner who gets to work at 4:30 in the afternoon would think that Millen is a good fit.
Our friend Todd Wright of Sporting News Radio reports that people in the know say Raiders owner Al Davis thinks very highly of Millen, who played for the Raiders from 1980 to 1988. In fact, Davis keeps in such close contact with Millen that he actually talks more to Millen than he does to most of the people who work for the Raiders.
Davis is such a loose cannon that it’s impossible to predict what might happen with the Raiders in 2009, other than to say that Lane Kiffin will not be the head coach. But Millen’s job prospects are limited because he would be hard to take seriously as a TV commentator, so if he wants to keep working in football, he might need to find an NFL owner willing to employ him.
And that means Davis and Millen might just be perfect for each other. Which is about as big an insult as you can give to either of them.

The NFL season is really dead these days. I mean we are still on Millen and Al Davis??? I get that the baseball usually takes the front seat this time of year... but if you just look at the matchups these next few weeks it's gonna be pretty brutal as a fan. The Pats and Colts were obviously the stories last year... with both teams struggling it's going to be quite boring. It was fun with those two teams at the top. Denver is exciting but they are a small market team as is Buffalo. And Cutler is no where near that Peyton Manning status. Pittsburg is brutal to watch... the Ravens... the Titans... the Jags... all meh meh and more meh... even Farve has failed to entertain as his offense continues to sputter although I think the Jets will turn it around. The only teams worth watching are San Diego and Denver.
The NFC has been more interesting with the NFC East and all but the rest of the conference is brutal.... maybe the Saints and Cardinals are fun teams but that's about it. Other than that this is shaping to be a really lack luster season outside of the Cowboys and maybe a handful of other teams.
I think the Pats and Colts falling off makes it more exciting, actually. The last few years, every season is just who can manage to beat the Pats/Colts? But now it's all wide open. The Broncos and Bills look good, the Jags are getting on track, the Dolphins might make a run, the NFC South and East are gonna be really competetive, etc etc blah blah. Good season ahead IMO.

What just happened to Brandon Albert? He looked dead.
Kansas City tackle Branden Albert was carted off the field with a leg injury late in the first half in Week 4.
Herb Taylor entered the game in his place. The extent of Albert's injury is not yet known, but he appears unlikely to return.

But Cutler is still getting a lot of yards and that's more fantasy points for you, I had to start Huard and even if the Chiefs win he'll give me less points than what Cutler will get you by losing. :csad:

3 INTs for Aaron Rodgers today.
He'll probably take a lot of criticism for that, but even more for the timing issue. It happened on a day that his predecessor's team put up 48 points.

The 1st interception wasn't his fault. Tipped into the air by his running back.
The 2nd was a near direct pick to Derrick Brooks, who nearly had two more throughout the game.
And on the 3rd, he got leveled by DE Greg White and was picked by DE Gaines Adams.
A rough, rough day for Aaron Rodgers. Welcome to the NFL.
