Voter turn out has improved. Discussion in the homes, work place, etc... Teens/even pre-teens watching coverage??? What is going on this time around??????

Is it simply because the first mixed race candidate is running in Obama, or Bill's wife to bring back the White House to the Clinton's again??

What do you consider the surge of interest(s)?

Bush ****ed us up. I think most Americans don't like the feeling that this time, we might be the bad guys.

I think it has to do with the excitement generated by both Hillary and Obama. People have wanted Hillary to run for President since 2002, and Obama is an exciting, fresh face. Plus, this race started in 2006, so people are more informed than they have been and have been rallied around a candidate for months now.

I think its simply because people are so irritated with politics in general
They are looking for someone different...
Between dissatisfaction with Bush, and an Incompetant Congress, both Rep and Dem, a Congress that works about 3 days a week....

If I worked 3 days a week, I would be fired, so should they.

Obviously the potential for the first ever black president or woman president is a factor. The other is that people want to see who can run our country after that fiasco of a double administration that was Bush-Cheney

I think more and more Americans are taking an interest because they travel more. Which in my opinion brings about a wider more open minded view of the world which in turns can make poeple care about governments. Just a thougt, not the sole reason but a factor.

In fact I think the amount of Americans that travel or who own a passport is very close to the total amount of citizens in the UK. A good figure that has risen over time. I think America is becoming more open minded every day :)
