It's not like they're gonna take back the rings.

Seriously, you're a sore loser because your team isn't 19-0.

I did notice that about the play clock, but it doesn't change the fact that they lost. I don't think they were robbed, it's over and done with anyways.

I dont want the rings taken away, they already lost. I wouldnt make the Giants go through any crap like that. However, this is interesting. As a fan, I want answers. Sore loser my ass, its the super bowl and a dumb clock manager cost us the game and more importantly, history. Might not matter to yall, but to Pats fans...

We dont want - we deserve - answers. We lost 19-0 because of CLOCK mess-up?

You have to be kidding me!

This is nowhere NEAR as controversial as the MSU/UM clock scandal in 2001.

THIS DOESN'T DESERVE IT'S OWN THREAD.

You can't prove that if the clock manager had done things right you would have won the game. The Giants still could have went down and scored a TD and Brady would have been left with less time then he had. So this really doesn't need to be discussed.

The other ones locked and this stopped us from making history! Pretty big deal

Speaking as a Patriots fan: If they were robbed, they robbed themselves. That was the worst game they played all year. The Giants are not some phenomenal team, they didn't even play that well. Scoring three points in nearly the first 3 quarters is nothing to write home about. The fact is the Patriots pressured themselves into losing. Tom Brady, Randy Moss and Bill are all better than that, better than what they showed on Sunday. I've never seen a dominant team play such a sh***y game.

They did mess up with the clock severely, but the Patriots weren't robbed at all, they were just beat by the Giants. It is what it is as Belichick says.

...and Fran, with all due respect, you're still harboring ill will about the Rams loss to the Patriots even now and hoping the Patriots videotaped a walkthrough to get vindication.

The Patriots did not play up to their potential. They gave up on the running game before even really using it. When the long passes stopped working they should have started going short to Welker (like they did on those couple of great plays he had) to pull the defense off their big weapons like Moss. And where was the Patriots O-line? Brady had virtually no sacks during the season, yet the Giants were putting him on the ground over and over.

And the Pats never changed up their game or adapted to the Giants. Belichick's a much better coach than that, but he didn't show it this time.

I like the Pats and fully expected them to walk away with (by at least 10 points). But the Pats that were at the Superbowl weren't the ones that went 18-0. Clock mis-management or not, the Pats didn't deserve to win playing that poorly.

They were going to the same 2nd half gameplan they did in San Diego. 3 tight ends, 1 full back, 1 reciever, Maroney at rb but on two straight drives on 2nd & 10 Matt Light false starters and then they were down so they had to score.

Pats lost plain and simple, no excuses. I love the Patriots as they've always been my favorite team even during their ****ty years, but let's face it, New York won the Super Bowl with crucial clutch plays and New England couldn't counter their defense.

There was no robbery.

The Patriots weren't robbed, there was no conspiracy, they didn't beat themselves, etc, etc, etc. The Giants just played better.

"You" lost 19-0 because "you" weren't the better team on Superbowl Sunday.

18-1....THE END

I concur. Closing.

If you really need to discuss this Excel, take it to the NFL 2008 thread.
